Feng Xin was about to push open the doors of Pu Qi Temple when another hand stretched out beside him. He looked up and saw Mu Qing’s grumpy face.
“What are you doing here?” Mu Qing asked.
“What? I can’t visit His Highness?”
Mu Qing rolled his eyes and pushed open the doors.
Feng Xin could not resist asking. “How about you, why are you here?”
“Why do I have to tell you?”
The two didn’t manage to continue their bickering when they realized that there’s no one at the temple. They looked around and heard faint voices coming from the kitchen. With large strides, they arrived in no time.
“Your highn--, hmmm?!”
With the abrupt pause in his steps, Feng Xin bumped at the back of Mu Qing.
“What are you doing!? Why did you--” Feng Xin stopped talking when he noticed the other’s dark expression. He followed Mu Qing’s line of sight and locked on at the two figure sticking closely in front of the fire.
What the fuck!? Flirting in broad daylight!???
Xie Lian placed a hand on his chin. “I really think I’m missing some spices.”
The arms encircling his waist tightened and Hua Cheng’s low voice, just above a whisper, echoed in his ear. “Anything Gege makes is delicious.”
Feng Xin and Mu Qing almost vomited blood.
Hua Cheng’s lips hovered above his ear, tickling him. Xie Lian knew that the younger man used his bedroom voice on purpose. His voice brought back last night’s passion with Hua Cheng’s voice filling his ears as their bodies moved in the same rhythm and intensity.
Just thinking about it was enough to send shivers down to his spine. Xie Lian’s cheeks were as red as Hua Cheng’s clothes.
Feeling wronged, Xie Lian looked up and sent his mightiest glare. “San Lang…”
This ‘mightiest glare’ looked more like the cutest pout in Hua Cheng’s eyes. But he knew what it means so he chuckled and kissed Xie Lian on the cheeks.
“Okay, I’ll behave,” Hua Cheng cocked his head towards the side of the unwanted visitors. “Perhaps Gege can ask your ‘helpers’ to tell you what’s missing in your recipe?”
Xie Lian turned to his side as Hua Cheng shifted his hold of him.
“Well, will you?” Xie Lian asked.
The two Martial Gods froze for a while before stiffly stepping backward.
Mu Qing coughed. “I just received a notice in the communication array. Seems like I’m needed in Heavens. I’ll come to visit next time Your Highness.”
“I have some errands as well. See you!” Feng Xin said.
For once, the two agree with one another. In a blink of an eye, the two gods were gone.
Xie Lian shook his head. “San Lang ah, don’t tease them so much.”
Hua Cheng tightened his embrace. “Hmm.”
As Xie Lian turned to cook again, the younger man spoke again.
“Earlier, what did Gege remember?”
Xie Lian paused and focused on mixing the soup. “I forgot.”
“Gege,” Hua Cheng whispered, a smirk threatening to break out of his lips. “Should I remind you then?”
