Faking It

Chapter Text

Episode 0

“And cut! Taehyung, you did great!” He heard the director say. It was their last day of shooting for the movie and for some reason, Taehyung was ecstatic about it. It basically just means that he can finally take a rest for a while since his next schedule won’t be until March.

Feeling the cold breeze of winter, he walked inside his trailer and literally just laid down. Everyone is anticipating his new movie because it is his first time acting in a horror film. He, himself, is afraid of horror films and every now and then the fear he acts is what he really feels.

It’s hard being an actor. Every move you make must correspond to the mood and the storyline. You can’t really make a mistake or else the story will not be depicted properly. It’s hard to be an actor but he loves his job. It has always been his dream to be in front of camera, to be filmed and to get awards and that’s why he’s the most famous actor in Korea as of today. You’re good in acting. – as everyone always tells him.

Or that’s what he thought.

He was peacefully scrolling through his Instagram when he received an email from his manager. It was unusual and very formal because usually his manager would just call him or text him. But this time he emailed him.

To: Kim Taehyung (kimtaehyung@naver.com)

Subject: We Got Married

[Forwarded Message]

Kim Taehyung-ssi,

Good day! We are the producers of We Got Married and we would like to invite you to be a part of our new season. We have already contacted your company, and the others. They granted our request that is why we are messaging you formally for your approval. Details about the show will be discussed on a meeting to be scheduled.

We are hoping for your consideration about this. Thank you very much!

Taehyung’s eyes widened at the message. We Got Married? He became confused for a moment because if there’s one thing Taehyung knows about him and his fans, he hates reality shows– or maybe it doesn’t have to be real since everything about the media is fake. But he hates it with passion because it’s not really real to be called a reality show. It’s a thing in the broadcast industry that once you know you’re being filmed, you will definitely act differently on camera. Everything you show can be an act that’s why everyone creates a mask that shows a different side of themselves on screen. Reality shows suck because they try to show something that they say is real but is really not.

The moment he read about the email, he was so sure that he doesn’t want to do this.

But for some reason, his fingers typed a yes and now he is on his way to meet with the producers to go over about what is going to happen.

“Are you sure about this, Taehyung?” His manager, Namjoon, asked as they got inside the lift. “You hate these kind of stuff and as much as possible, you don’t want people to be attached to you.”

“I mean, my fans like shipping me with my co-actors usually.” He chuckled, “Where’s the harm in that?”

“I don’t know, maybe you get attached easily?” He eyed him and he just rolled his eyes.

“I don’t.” He simply said.

Or that’s what he thought.

Walking inside the room, he was greeted by the different staff members. He bowed down and was asked to sit. "Taehyung-ssi, I'm so glad you accepted the invite."

"I guess I don't have much to do anyway." He tried to reason out.

"Great! We'll start now with your pre-interview. Your partner is already done. We've sent you your schedule of shooting since they're a busy person as well." They explained. "So, are you ready?"

Episode 1

What do you look for the most in a person?

"I like someone who's charismatic. Someone who can go along with the quirks that I have. I honestly would like it if they would give me attention."

"I don't really mind as long as their personality is alright and they're not annoying. I'm not really that expressive with what I feel so I hope they'll notice my subtleness."

It has been a month since Taehyung was asked to do a pre-interview and as much as possible, he tried to be very honest with everything. He was so excited that he watched all of the seasons of We Got Married to know how it would work and right now he is at a cafe with his co-actor, Kim Seokjin, filming the very first episode and interaction between them.

"Are you sure it's a girl?" Seokjin asked. Taehyung hesitantly looked at the staffs as they all shrugged at them. "I'm pretty sure it's a guy!"

"What if you're just playing with me and it's really you?" He joked out. "I wouldn't mind dating you, hyung."

"Correction: Marrying."

And it was weird to listen to. Though he does honestly want to marry, he didn't expect he would experience it like this. It's been a while since he dated someone. The last time he did was before he became an actor. He forgot how to act towards a person that he likes nor how to ask someone out. This show is indeed a challenge to him.

When someone from the staffs walked towards them with a camera on hand, Tahehyung knew it's the start. Seeing the box on their hand, Taehyung got nervous of what's about to come.

Taehyung,

In this box is a set of photos that would describe about your partner. Complete the task in 5 minutes and you will be able to receive a phone that has your partner's number.

"Ah! Is it like that mobile game? What's it called?" He asked turning to Seokjin.

"4-Pics-1-Word." Seokjin laughed.

"Do you play that, hyung?" Taehyung chuckled teasingly, "Sounds like a game for old people."

As if on cue, Seokjin's facial expression turned into an annoyed uncle who's ready for their outrage, "What if your partner is older than you, huh? Will you tease them for their age too?"

Taehyung laughed at the older as they waited for the cue. Apparently, him and his partner are being filmed in reel time. Both are set to identify facts about the other to find out if fate loves them enough to interact.

Mic

CD

Bridge

Black Cat

"This doesn't even make sense." Seokjin snorted. "Is this a clue?"

"Is he a singer?" Taehyung asked the producers. "The mic and the cd is a give away."

"The bridge and black cat doesn't suit a singer?" Seokjin raised an eyebrow, "Maybe a rapper?"

"Correct. A rapper."  The producer said as he walked towards them handing a phone and a challenge card.

Taehyung started to become hesitant. If it is a rapper, his partner is most likely a male. He doesn't listen to much rappers but he does know a few of them. In fact, Seokjin is close with a rapper named Jhope.

"What if it's Hoseokie?" Seokjin glistened, "Is it Jhope?"

"Please read the challenge card." The producer reprimanded.

Taehyung,

You can use this phone to message your partner if he is able to figure out what field in the entertainment industry you are the way you guess that he is a rapper. You can give more clues but never expose your identity.

"Do I message him now?" Taehyung asked and the producers gave a go signal.

Taehyung: hello rapper-nim :)

Rapper-nim: actor-nim

"He responded!" Seokjin squealed. "He knows you're an actor now."

 "No shit, hyung."

Rapper-nim: so you know who I am?

Taehyung: maybe

Rapper-nim: thats unfair they only told me ur an actor

Taehyung: I am

"Can we send photos?" Taehyung asked the producers and they nodded.

"As long as you're not fully exposing yourself"

With that, Taehyung made a peace sign and took a photo of his hand.

Taehyung: so you rap

Rapper-nim: I do [photo attached]

Taehyung viewed the photo attached. It was a photo of where he currently is. It looked like a studio for all he knows because of the MIDIs and a screen that has a reflection of someone wearing a bucket hat.

Taehyung: nice hat. i'm a beret type of person

Rapper-nim: i know who you are :)

"Ok stop." The producer said noticing the subtle revelation of who is who. "Bring the next challenge card."

Taehyung,

You will meet your partner tomorrow. bring a gift that you think he would like.

"I don't even know much about him." Taehyung whined.

"I know him." Seokjin smiled. "But I won't tell you who because it would ruin the show. All I can say is, the producers are smart."

Episode 2

Taehyung knew he would meet him eventually. He even tried to stay away from the social media to search who could he possibly be. Ever since Seokjin had a clue, he kept on teasing Taehyung. As much as he wanted to get mad at the older, Seokjin did help him with the gift.

Seokjin described him as someone he wouldn't expect to be a rapper, just like his friend Hoseok. In fact, he blurted out that his partner might be friends with Hoseok. So knowing Hoseok, he made Taehyung buy something bright like a yellow sweater.

"I hope he'll look good in yellow." He thought.

Staring at the present one last time, he made way his way to the park where he's supposed to meet the love of his life.  It was in the middle of January. It was still cold and the snowflakes fall on his hair. He had his hand in his pocket as he neared the park with a big box waiting for him.

"What's this?" He laughed with a shaky voice.

Taehyung couldn't believe it. It's really happening. He's really going to be officially in a reality show paired up with someone who's supposedly his husband in the next weeks. He wasn't sure how to act but for once, he knew he is acting himself right now.

"Should I open it all?" He turned to the producers who weren't even responding to him.

With shaky hands, he reached for the lid and slowly took it off. Once it's off, he looked away and closed his eyes scared of who it might be.

"Look at me." He heard a deep voice speak. "I can't believe I did this."

Without hesitations anymore, he opened his eyes and looked at the person in front of him. He bursted out a chuckle that turned out to be wide smile. "I hope you like cats." The person said with a smile.

And Taehyung took note of it. He took note what the person looks like in front of him right now. He took note of his feline-like eyes that he immediately fell for. He took note of his black hair with cat ears clipped on both sides making it seem like he was a cat. He took note of his gummy smile that will never leave his mind. He took note that his partner is a famous rapper named Agust D.

"I can't believe I had the chance to see Agust D with cat ears." Taehyung finally spoke. "Seokjin hyung is right, you don't seem like a rapper at all."

"Well I'm not Agust D." He shrugged. "With you, I'm Min Yoongi."

Taehyung felt his cheeks warm at the subtle flirting (or that's what he thought). "Well I'm Kim Taehyung. Always been Taehyung."

Both felt the awkward atmosphere as Taehyung helped Yoongi out of the box. "I guess I should remove the ears now." Yoongi lowly spoke.

"I finally understand why there was a black cat in the pictures to guess who you are." He muttered, "Suits you. You look like a cat."

"So I've been told."

Taehyung doesn't understand why he feels awkward. He doesn't know how to act in front of him. He feels all of his confidence go down in the drain of shame as he was reminded that he needed to give him a gift.

"Seokjin hyung actually thought my partner would be Hoseok hyung." He spoke with his hand on his own nape, "I hope you like bright things." With that he handed a paper bag with the bright yellow sweater. "Right now, I think it would suit your skin tone."

Yoongi took it out from the paper bag and placed it on top of him with a smile. "It's nice. Thank you." He shyly said. "I rarely use coloured clothes but I'll make sure to wear this."

Taehyung just smiled admiring how he was correct. The yellow did suit his skin. Maybe that's why Seokjin told him to get him that.

"Yoongi, your gift." The producer said.

He looked at the producers confused. "I'm the gift."

How was your first meeting?

"I didn't expect it to be awkward. I guess I still wasn't sure how to act around him."

"I'm glad he accepted me as a gift."

Episode 3

What's your ideal date?

"An amusement park. I want to experience the cheesy ferris-wheel moment."

"Stay at home and watch movies, probably."

The first meeting was brief because Yoongi had a writing session with another artist. Taehyung on the other hand had left and right promotions for the movie he recently finished. But in between the time being, the pair still talked to each other. In fact, knowing more stuff about Yoongi made the awkwardness inside of him be gone. He felt comfortable enough to send random selfies of him making a weird face and even joking about Yoongi's height.

Today they're supposedly going out on their first date. They've both agreed that even if they're bound to get married soon, they decided that should take it slow and get to know each other. Since Yoongi was the one who organised them meeting, Taehyung had the power to plan their first date.

Finally arriving in Yoongi's building, Taehyung sent him a message that he's there. A few moments later, a bright yellow sweater welcomed him. And yes, the camera director took note to edit this with a slow motion focusing on the way Taehyung looked at Yoongi.

"You wore it already?" Taehyung smiled and Yoongi shyly nodded. "I actually like it. Wore it last week when I was in the studio."

They talked more while on their way to their destination. Taehyung was finally feeling less awkward towards him. He can finally laugh loud and joke around with the older. He felt more at ease and for a moment, he forgot the cameras filming.

"Oh no." Yoongi spoke as they neared the destination. "Please tell me we're not going to an amusement park."

"You don't like it?" Taehyung asked afraid.

Yoongi probably saw the worry in Taehyung's face so he warily said, "I-It's alright. It's been a while since I've been in an amusement park."

But really, Yoongi doesn't like the idea of amusement parks. He doesn't like the rides because he feels nauseous easily. He doesn't like the loud kids. As much as possible, Yoongi wants to stay home that's why he suggested that during the interview. I guess I have to do more stuff for this reality show,  He thought.

The worry in Taehyung's face slowly disappeared, "I'll make it a memorable one."

With caution, Taehyung watched over every reaction Yoongi makes. He felt that the older doesn't like the amusement park or going out in general since he remembered their talk about Yoongi just wanting to sleep most of the time.

For some reason, Taehyung wondered why did they match him with Yoongi when they're obviously polar opposites to the public? Taehyung is known for being the enthusiastic and bubbly type and Yoongi wants to be a stone in his next life.

"Hyung, do you want to ride that?" Taehyung asked pointing at a high rotating ride. "I've always wanted to ride that."

Yoongi swallowed hard unsure whether to keep on agreeing to everything Taehyung says or to finally deny because he really can't. "Taehyung-ah. I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm scared of rides. I've actually been holding everything in since earlier."

"You could've told me." He mumbled. "I was actually unsure with the date."

Taehyung was unsure which rides to choose. All of the rides they've been were chosen carefully because he doesn't want Yoongi to feel like this is the worst date he's been, but Taehyung is obviously failing.

"Don't worry I've been enjoying." Yoongi reassured. "I just don't like the other rides that you like. I didn't like the bumper cars tho."

"But that's like the funnest ride in an amusement park!" Taehyung retorted, "You were bumping with random strangers earlier and you seemed to be enjoying."

"Exactly my point." Yoongi chuckled. "They're not that fun. I was just pretending."

Taehyung huffed. "You should've been an actor then."

He doesn't know where those words came from but he was kind of annoyed now. At first he felt bad that Yoongi doesn't like rides but after knowing that he's been pretending, it annoyed him when he could've just told him the truth. It bothered him so much.

"We seem to disagree on a lot of stuff." Yoongi pointed out. "This is going to be hard."

"It wouldn't be if we compromise." Taehyung muttered. "Or speak out." He snapped a little.

"No need to be pissy." He lowly said easing the heightened tension between them. "How bout this," without notices, Yoongi took Taehyung's hand with his, "If we're likely to fight, we'll hold hands. Deal?"

Taehyung was taken a back at the sudden hand holding but he liked the way his hand fit with his. He lowered his head shyly hiding his smile and flustered cheeks at the sudden movement the older did.

"Now," Yoongi said still keeping their hands intertwined. "Do you want to ride the ferris wheel?"

It was the perfect time to ride the ferris wheel. The sun is almost setting when they got inside of the capsule. The sky was painted with a mixture of pink and orange. Encapsulated in a small space, Taehyung simply looked over the view of the entire park.

"We should both plan the next date to know whether we both like it or not." Taehyung suggested still feeling off by the fact that Yoongi doesn't like amusement parks that much.

"You said to compromise." Yoongi replied. "How about we try something that I like doing? And alternately do that? Get ourselves interested with what the other likes."

"That's a good idea."

Falling in love with the view in front of them and feeling the lack of skin ship, Taehyung slowly took Yoongi's hand intertwining it with his, to which Yoongi simply smiled.

How was your first date?

"It was still awkward and he doesn't like amusement parks but good thing it ended well."

"I found an excuse to hold his hand."

Episode 4

What's your favourite type of skin ship?

"I like putting my arm around them or holding hands."

"Definitely holding hands."

Somehow Taehyung should be used to holding Yoongi's hand because of the petty disagreements they had. From absurd coffee drinking habits where Taehyung tells Yoongi to lessen the caffeine, to deciding whether to spend the limited date money on fish cakes or not.

It has been a month since they started filming and as time passes by, they grew closer to each other. It has been a routine for them to talk to each other even off camera. Of course there were a few people who saw them out with the cameras and everything before their show was even aired. Their fans reacted differently but mostly supported them and actually liked their pairing on screen. It is as if they were meant to be together at some point.

Taehyung suddenly had a film to shoot and Yoongi was busy preparing for his upcoming album. (You can't really deny that this reality show is for publicity of their projects). But the producers still found time for them to film. Last week, Yoongi visited Taehyung at his shoot. The show gave a few spoilers of Taehyung's character where he is a leading character.

Today was different. It was Taehyung's time to visit Yoongi at his studio and after that, they will meet up with their friends to plan their wedding. Whenever Taehyung thinks about it, it sounds weird in his head but he knows one day he will really marry. The wedding with Yoongi is just for the show and maybe a practice for him.

Taehyung remembered Yoongi saying he misses his dog, Holly, so much that Taehyung decided to bring Yeontan as a surprise. It's not really Yoongi's Holly but the presence of a dog would hopefully make Yoongi feel like he is with her.

Typing the passcode to the studio, Taehyung came in as the door unlocked. "Surprise!"

"Hey– What." Yoongi turned to him pausing the current track playing. "You brought a dog?"

"Meet Tannie." He introduced waving the dog's paw, "You said you miss Holly and I have Tannie so I thought why not bring him today." Yoongi took Yeontan in his arms massaging the dog's fur as he watched Taehyung get comfy in the couch. "I also brought take-out in case you haven't eaten yet."

Yoongi shook his head taking the food from Taehyung, keeping Yeontan on his lap, "Thanks."

"So what were you working on?" Taehyung asked mid-chewing his food. "I heard from Hoseokie hyung that you rarely leave the studio."

"I've been busy." Yoongi stated simply.

"Not busy enough to see me?" Taehyung teased making the older roll his eyes. "I've always wanted to sing! But I never got the chance to sing in OSTs."

"You should let me hear your voice then." He replied. "To know if I'll make you a song."

Taehyung laughed as he thought about the lyrics to his current favourite song, "Don't laugh okay." Yoongi pretended to zip his lip keeping a straight smile. "Back back to the basic, microphone check!"

"I understand why you don't have a song." Yoongi joked. "I notice you've been listening to my songs."

"I love your songs." Taehyung honestly said. "It's been a while since I've listened to actual songs. Your songs and raps are really great, hyung. I can see why everyone loves you."

"That's flattering, Tae. Thank you." Yoongi shyly smiled taking another bite of the food he seemed to forget after listening to Taehyung's compliments.

Taehyung stayed in his studio listening to Yoongi talk about the stuff in his studio while playing with Yeontan. He even played a few tracks, (that he asked the producers not to air), and Taehyung simply listened with awe. It's true. Taehyung has been listening to Yoongi's songs since they met and since then, he hasn't listened to any other artist. He's bummed that his lack of social life hid a great artist from him.

Finally, after finishing the last track. They both went off to the same café where Taehyung and Seokjin filmed to meet their friends.

"Taehyung!" Hoseok greeted him pulling him into a hug and kissing his head, "It's been a while!"

"Hi Yoongi," Seokjin greeted the Yoongi who was surprised to see that they know each other. "You see, we've been friends and we don't really know why we haven't introduced you both to each other."

"Would've been a bummer if I met my future husband so soon, eh?" Yoongi simply responded making Seokjin cringe. "I did it for the views."

"Sure you did."

And as much as Taehyung didn't want to hear it, he did.

What do you like the most about your partner?

"I like his smile. The best smile angel of the universe, Min Yoongi."

"I like how he appreciates all the little things."

Episode 5

Where do you want to go the most?

"Is this for a honeymoon?"

"Can we film outside South Korea?"

Taehyung remembered how hesitant he was, having a war in his head, whether to agree to this or not. He remembered the different reasoning in his head of how much reality shows suck because it's not really real. He remembered the unsure agreement to this show. And most importantly, he remembered meeting Min Yoongi.

Taehyung had always been praised for acting. He's the best at that and he knows how to act in front of a camera. He knows that he can easily fake his feelings but for some reason, he can't fake the hesitation as he is now about to get fake married to Yoongi.

Taehyung remembers everything. He remembers the way Yoongi told him, "I'm the gift"  with cat ears on. He remembers the way Yoongi held his hand for the first time. He remembers the look and smile he gave him when he complimented him about his music. He remembers Yoongi telling Seokjin he did it for the views. He remembers how hurt he was. And he remembers the sudden epiphany that he likes Min Yoongi.

"You ready?" Seokjin asked as he nodded. All of his friends and Yoongi's friends were there for the act. Seokjin, who became his fake best man, Jimin, his closest co actor and Namjoon, his manager. Yoongi had Hoseok and Jeongguk. Everyone is here and Taehyung should be happy.

"We are all gathered today for the wedding of Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung." Namjoon started cracking everyone up because his voice was so fake. "Stop laughing, I'm a manager."

Taehyung looked over Yoongi who looked over him as well. Their eyes met and Yoongi simply smiled at him. "I can't believe this is happening."

And everything happened so quickly. It wasn't really a formal wedding since it is fake and for the show only. They only exchanged messages and no, they didn't kiss. Their friends cheered them having a short and simple dinner party before the producers gave them another challenge card.

Taehyung and Yoongi,

Congrats on your wedding! Here are tickets to a place that your managers suggested. Enjoy your honeymoon!

Yoongi read the words eyes widening at the place. "Did you tell them you want to go here?" Taehyung shook his head.

"Did you?" He asked back and Yoongi denied as well.

"Whose idea is it to bring us to Hawaii?"

Still taken a back, they checked in their flight keeping in mind to use the self-camera. "I still can't believe we're going to Hawaii." Taehyung said. "I only told them anywhere is fine."

"I actually told them I wanna go out of the country." Yoongi chuckled. "I didn't know it was this place."

It took them almost twelve hours before they arrived in America and another domestic flight before they arrived in Hawaii. Most of the time they were asleep because of the sudden long trip. The moment they checked in the hotel, Taehyung was amazed at how big the place the show booked that he just had to ask: "The company gave a share didn't they?"

"There's a bed." Yoongi said stating the obvious. "I guess we're sharing?"

"We're husbands anyway." Taehyung said going along with the show but laughing nervously in between hoping Yoongi would follow.

It was around four in the afternoon when they decided to go out and look around the place. Taehyung searching up for some places to eat. Yoongi looking for places to go to. "Tae," Yoongi called out. "I just realised they gave us limited money."

Taehyung looked over the producers and the only shrugged at them. "You have a challenge card, don't you?"

Taehyung and Yoongi,

Spend the perfect date in Hawaii with limited money. Make sure to maximise every cent given.

"We can't use our own money?" The producers shook their head.

"We asked your company to hold your credit cards."

"You're good." Yoongi noted. "We only have fifty." He said showing the bill.

"We can fit that." Taehyung reassured.

Out of habit, Yoongi reached out for Taehyung's hand as they walked by the beach near them. They left the hotel at the perfect time because the skies turned a mixture of pink and orange. It reminded of Taehyung the first time they held hands. "Hyung, remember the ferris wheel?" Yoongi hummed, "It was sunset too."

"We have a lot of sunset shots then." Taehyung nodded continuing to admire the view. It was beautiful and it calmed him forgetting for a moment the life he has in Korea.

"I miss home." He randomly blurted out. "I've been living in Seoul since and haven't had the time to go home."

"Really? Where are you from?"

"Daegu but I moved to Geochang and grew up there." He explained remembering the beautiful view from his room and the farm of his grandmother.

"I'm from Daegu too." Yoongi said and Taehyung nodded as if he already knew.

And he did. (Maybe) Unlike Yoongi, Taehyung spent his time searching about the other. He actually wanted to know more about him and so far, he only knows about the basic-fan-knowledge. He knows that Yoongi had always dreamed about being a musician. He knows that Yoongi strived his way to be where he is right now. And he admired it so much because Yoongi remained humble as ever. He saw videos of him talking about his passion in life and he hopes Yoongi will have the happiest life because he can see how much he deserves it, not only in the videos but also with how they've interacted with each other.

And it continued to bother him because why does he care so much of someone who (probably) doesn't even care about him?

They went to the nearest Korean restaurant for dinner. For once, the mood was quiet and no one wanted to speak. Taehyung's mind was still clouded with thoughts, thinking what goes on Yoongi's mind. "Stop staring." Yoongi mumbled taking a bite of the cold noodles.

"You can have the last meat." He muttered in reply, "I've eaten enough."

The night went by fast. Yoongi was already in bed when Taehyung was still cleaning up. A tired groan escapes from Taehyung's lips as he went out of the shower to see Yoongi who is already fast asleep. Feeling random thoughts cloud his mind again, he went to the balcony to look over the stars.

Sometimes Taehyung wished to the stars. He remembered wishing to them in times when he feels lost. He wished to the stars before he came to Seoul. He wished to the stars before he auditioned. He wished to the stars before premiers of every movie he starred in.

He should've believed Namjoon when he said he gets attached easily. He feels weird on the inside because how can he be so in deep with someone he only met through a reality show? He's been in the acting industry for five years and not once has he felt attachment to any of his co-actors. He even kissed some of them but nothing compared to the feeling he had when he first held his hand.

Fucking hand holding. He thought.

And Min Yoongi had always been the same since the first day they met. Nothing changed at all. He's still that same goofy him showing off to his fans the different side of him other than his music. He still cracks up uncalled puns whenever he has the chance, beating Seokjin's.

"Why are you there?"

Taehyung turned around surprised to see a half-asleep Yoongi, "I can't sleep."

"Why?" Yoongi asked and Taehyung just shrugged.

"Do I need a reason?"

"Something's probably bothering you." He just shook his head not wanting to talk to him because that something is the person in front of him. "You've been acting weird since last week."  Taehyung looked down fiddling with his fingers. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I just miss home." He said breathing through a white lie. "Not Seoul but my actual home."

"You know you can go home anytime right?" Taehyung nodded. "Want me to come with you when we get back to Seoul?"

His eyes looked up locking with Yoongi's as he sees the stars in his eyes. "You would do that?" Yoongi nodded with a lazy smile. "Thank you."

"Anything just to see your smile." He whispered locking hands with Taehyung.

And in that moment, Taehyung wished to the stars. He wished for Min Yoongi.

Episode 6

When they got back from Hawaii, Yoongi did come home with Taehyung to his family. They made a side trip to Yoongi's home as well since it wasn't that far from his. From there, they spent the rest of their days back to the regular. The first few episodes were finally aired and the producers are now preparing for their last.

Taehyung didn't mind that it is finally coming to an end because finally he can stay away from Yoongi. People commended him a lot for his acting like he was in love with Yoongi. He shrugged it off because for once, he wasn't really acting. All he thinks about is that after this, he can finally forget about the feelings that he really had.

Perhaps Taehyung kept reminding himself that everything that happened between them was an act. He kept reminding of himself of the brutal truth that Min Yoongi is a great actor himself and everything was fake.

Taehyung would rather go with brutal truths than comforting lies.

For the last time, Taehyung visited Yoongi's studio. He sat there listening to the older ramble about track mixing and how he is having a hard time getting the perfect sound. He made sure to take notes of the smallest of things.

He took note of how Yoongi is sat there wearing the yellow sweater that he gave him, his newly dyed blonde hair hidden by a black bucket hat, and a black face mask resting on his chin. He took note of how bright Yoongi is today mentioning the different collaborations he could fit in his new album. He took note of the way Yoongi looked at him for the last time.

"You're quiet." Yoongi mentioned. "Awfully quiet."

"The show is almost over." He quietly mumbled.

"And what about it?"

"We both got the promotion we need." He said quite harshly. Yoongi froze for a moment, confused at what Taehyung is trying to point out. "That's why we both agreed right to this, right?"

"What are you trying to say?" Yoongi asked quietly feeling small.

Taehyung is trying so hard to read Yoongi but he just can't. He can't see nothing but the same agenda since they started the show. Nothing but the purpose of promotions. Nothing but doing everything for the show.

"I think it's better for us to stop seeing each other after the last shoot."

Yoongi stares at him in silence for a few seconds, trying to catch a breath that he didn't realise he was holding. Then he clears his throat mumbling a broken, "Why?"

He wasn't sure what to answer but he thought it would be better to tell him the truth. "Sometimes, I forgot why we were doing this." He stifled a laugh, "I was enjoying too much that I forgot that everything was just for the show and I-" don't tell him you like him. "I forgot how to act. I forgot that the holding hands fiasco were part of a script to make the show more enjoyable."

"I'm not getting your point here, Taehyung."

"There's no point at all." Taehyung says. "I just think that everything that happened should be kept as an act for the show." Not wanting to hear Yoongi retort anymore, Taehyung stood from his place, "I'll see you at the last shoot, hyung."

Taehyung took note of everything before he left the studio. But Taehyung wasn't able to take note of Yoongi's watery eyes because he didn't take note that Yoongi never wanted their relationship to end as an act.

What do you want to tell your partner before you part ways?

"I like you a lot, Hyung."

"Taehyung-ah, Let's stay together.

Episode 7

"Something bothering you?" Namjoon asked in the car while they're on their way for their last shoot. "You look bothered."

"Just tired." Taehyung mumbled not wanting to make conversation. Namjoon simply hummed respecting Taehyung.

"Your season has the highest ratings." Namjoon reported. "People loved the match of Taegi."

"Glad they did." He yawned not interested, "Our acting was good."

"You weren't acting, Taehyung." Namjoon says feeling why Taehyung is acting weird, "And I'm pretty sure Yoongi wasn't too."

"What are you talking about?" Taehyung asked acting as if he doesn't know what Namjoon is trying to point out.

"I'm just saying that you need to stop acting for once."

So do you still remember your pre interview?

"Yeah."

"It wasn't that long ago."

How do you feel about being interviewed together now?

"It feels weird, honestly."

"I mean, there's nothing to feel awkward about anymore."

How was the other as a husband and did it fit your ideal person?

"Hyung was amazing. He doesn't really fit as my ideal person but he proved to me that there's more to our ideals."

"I didn't think I could tolerate him, but Taehyung was fun to be with.

Did your relationship change overtime?

"We both became more comfortable with each other."

"We learned how to compromise with each other instead of disagreeing."

What's one thing you want to tell the other right now?

"Hyung, thank you for this special relationship. I hope we hold hands always."

"You want us to argue always?"

We'll play the actual message you want to tell them

Taehyung's eyes widened as he signalled them to stop, "Please don't."

But before they heard him, Yoongi heard Taehyung say "I like you a lot, Hyung." Taehyung froze in his place not wanting to look at Yoongi anymore. He feels mortified scared to face the brutal truth once again. "Taehyung-ah, let's stay together."

And his heart stopped. Unsure of what to feel. He could feel his hands shaking from nervousness as he faced Yoongi slowly, seeing that smile he grew fond of plastered on his face.

Before Taehyung could speak, they were signalled to do the ending lines, ending the season officially.  "Thank you so much for supporting us in We Got Married! It was a really fun show to be in." Taehyung honestly said. "I'd like to thank this show for giving me a special relationship with Yoongi hyung."

Yoongi looked at Taehyung fondly, "We've been Taegi. Good bye!" Yoongi said waving at the camera.

And cut!

Hearing those words, Taehyung exhaled a deep breath he didn't know he was holding. He didn't want to stay in that place anymore. He doesn't want to be near him so he stood up immediately only to be pulled back by a grip on his arm.

"Can we talk?" Yoongi softly asked.

Taehyung knew there's no point in running away so he faced him. "What's up?" He calmly asked.

"Is it true?" Yoongi quickly opened the topic, "What you said in the video? Is it true?"

"I don't know why you're asking this, hyung." He replied. "Is there even a point in asking?"

"This is a reality show," Yoongi reasoned out, "It's true, isn't it?"

Taehyung took a deep breathe making sure he won't stammer out and blurt out the truth, "That's the thing, hyung. Reality shows aren't meant to be real. We all know we act differently when there's a camera. You can't be that stupid, to not know that." He harshly said. "It's all an act. I've always been faking it." Yoongi felt small. Looking down on his feet, with his hands closed in a tight fist. Taehyung doesn't know why he's acting like this right now when he made it clear before that everything is just an act. "Is there anything else you wanna say? I have an appointment."

Hearing a deep sigh, Yoongi reached out his hand. "Here." He said giving a flash drive to Taehyung, "I realised I never gave you a proper gift. I also promised I'd write you a song so here." Taehyung looked at his eyes, the stars he once loved no longer there. "I'm not really a singer but if you want to sing this, you know where my studio is." Yoongi gave a weak smile at Taehyung before turning his back. "I wrote that after you left the studio last time."

Taehyung was confused. He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know whether to believe what he just heard from the song that Yoongi wrote. How could someone relate an autumn leaf to a relationship that isn't even real in the first place?

Taehyung wants Yoongi gone from his mind. But he can't stop listening to the same track over and over again.

Like a single autumn leaf that’s attached to the branch, it’s breaking, I can see the thing called the end

End to what? A fake relationship?

"I'm really worried for you." Namjoon spoke, breaking his thoughts away from Yoongi.

"I'm fine, hyung." Taehyung reassured. "I should be happy. Today is the screening of my new movie. Everyone is excited. It got the attention it deserves."

Namjoon looked at him with serious eyes, "You know I'm not talking about that."

"Then I don't want to talk about that." He snapped.

Walking at the red carpet suddenly felt foreign to him. He felt as if he was more exposed to the world than he was before. He felt that through that reality show, people saw the real him. And he's not gonna deny it. He knows to himself everything was real, at least to him.

"How was the experience for We Got Married?"  A press asked Taehyung and he just smiled. "It was amazing. First time filming a reality show and it felt nice to finally show the world who I really am regardless of scripts." He honestly answered.

"What's the future for you and Yoongi?" Another press asked following up more questions about Yoongi and him. "You said it's real, so are you and Yoongi still in touch?"

"That's enough." Jimin, his co-actor said, "Taehyung would most likely want to keep things between him and Yoongi private, right Taehyungie? Please ask questions related to our movie."

Taehyung mumbled a quiet thank you to Jimin before answering more questions about the movie.

But the thoughts never left Taehyung's mind. It's all the same thoughts over and over again and in the middle of the movie, he felt a hand tap him. "I think you should talk to him." Jimin whispered. "I don't like seeing my best co-actor like this." Jimin reassuringly smiled. "You two are perfect for each other and true feelings can't fool anyone."

Perhaps those were the only words Taehyung needed before he left the cinema and quickly made his way to a place that he thought he'd never visit again. Walking towards the building, he looked at the stars one last time and wished for the same thing over and over again.

Instead of inserting the pin, he actually rang the doorbell for the first time. It took him a few seconds before the door clicked open, revealing the person he never planned to see again. "Can I record the song?" Taehyung asked biting his lip shyly as memories from the last time he was there appeared in his mind.

"I guess so," Yoongi quietly replied offering Taehyung to come inside. "How was the premier?"

"You knew?" He asked confused. Yoongi just shrugged.

"I guess I'm quite updated lately. I also watched the interview." He revealed not holding back anymore, "I thought reality shows were fake?"

Taehyung looked down, fiddling his fingers, belittled with regrets of what he said, "I thought it was fake to you."

"So you want to record the song or did you come here for a different reason?" Yoongi beamed smiling. "Please be honest this time."

"Min Yoongi," Taehyung started confidently reaching for the others hand and intertwining them, "I like you. Do you want to go out with me? For real, this time?"

"Thought you wouldn't ask."

Without any hesitations, Taehyung pulled Yoongi closer, closing the space between them pressing a kiss on the other's forehead. "No more faking?" He asked.

"I wasn't even faking it in the first place."

Chapter Text

Episode 0

“I think I need to add doubling for this one?” He mumbled quietly to himself not yet convinced with the current track, “It seems to be lacking some kind of feel.”

And there he goes again. Talking to himself. It became a habit ever since he started writing and producing music on his own. A good song to him would take more than five revisions to get the perfect feel. He wants every word, every beat to depict every emotion he wants others to feel while listening.

Two months had passed since he started writing his upcoming album. It’s already December, a month packed with schedules for award shows, and less than three months before he releases the album. He thinks it’s fine but some part of him feels exhausted.

In fact, he is done with the album. All he is left with is the final revisions that his co-producer suggested before he can finally set off for the music video shoots, jacket shoots and everything needed for an album. This new album is special to Yoongi because it shows more of his own real story, that’s why it’s set to be released after his birthday.

With a few more clicks and rearrangements, the final track was finished.

It’s hard being a musician and a producer. Every song you make should have an impact to people and their lives. With the inclusions of copyright, every beat you think of should be unique and has never been heard before.

And music is Yoongi’s life. Everyone looks up to him so much for his phenomenal writing, spitting every syllable in the perfect timing. He knows how to touch people’s heart, make other people feel things.

Scrolling through twitter while waiting for the final song to be rendered, he was notified that he got a new email from his manager. He eyed it for a while thinking, what could this be for it to be sent so formally?

To: Min Yoongi (minyoongi@naver.com)

Subject: We Got Married

[Forwarded Message]

Min Yoongi-ssi,

Yoongi’s eyes widened reading the message over and over again. We Got Married? He became confused for a moment because why would they want him to be a part of it? Yoongi has been in a couple of variety shows and he knows the works of a variety. He even mastered the art of emceeing a show, for all he knows.

So he searched about the show only to find out that it is a reality variety show where celebrities are paired up to be a married couple, as stated by Naver, and is tasked to do different couple related challenges.

“You really expect me to join this?” Yoongi stormed out showing his manager the email, “Don’t you think it’s a little absurd.”

“It’s for promotion purposes.” His manager simply replied, “You’re used to variety shows. Don’t you think it’s time for you to explore a little?”

“People ship me with Hoseok.” He curtly said making his manager sigh. “You can’t do anything to make me agree to this.”

Or that’s what he thought.

Because for some reason, he is now on his way to the building to talk about the show. A response of yes was given not less than three days ago and now he was scheduled to meet the producers. And no, the reason was definitely not the new version of a MIDI set.

Walking inside the room, he was greeted by the different staff members. He bowed down and was asked to sit. “Yoongi-ssi, I’m so glad you accepted the invite.”

He awkwardly smiled still fazed with the sudden schedule. “We’ll start with your pre-interview today. Your partner is set for tomorrow and the team is still trying to fit both of your schedules. Luckily, both of you are not overly busy.” The producer mentioned, “If you have any questions, you can ask them now.”

“I’m not really sure how these kind of shows work?” He honestly said, “I mean, I’ve watched the previous seasons and got an overview but I’m still confused.”

“Just be yourself. Everything is meant to be real.”

Episode 1

What do you look for the most in a person?

“I don’t really mind as long as their personality is alright and they’re not annoying. I’m not really that expressive with what I feel so I hope they’ll notice my subtleness.”

“I like someone who’s charismatic. Someone who can go along with the quirks that I have. I honestly would like it if they would give me attention.”

It has been a month since Yoongi was asked to do a pre-interview and as much as possible, he tried to be very honest with everything. Considering it more, he decided to take this show as a challenge because it is something he’s never done before, cross the dating part. Yoongi had a fair share of love stories. One of his sappy love letters to his past girlfriend was even aired on the radio.

But this time it’s different. He’s not expecting to fall in love with his partner but he did promise to himself he would make an effort, at least. He even asked his friends for suggestions on how he would be able to make this entire season work.

One of them being his closest friend, Hoseok, who he is with right now filming the very first episode of the show.

“I think it’s cool that you’re here, hyung.” Hoseok joked, “I think they did well by choosing you.”

Yoongi simply shrugged off the comments letting Hoseok do the talking for enough screen time. See, Yoongi knows his entertainment.

“Have you thought of marrying before?” Hoseok asked.

Yoongi shook his head. “I’ve been nagged a lot to finally get married.”

It was weird thinking about it. This show could’ve simply been just a couple but they insisted on putting the word married in the plot. It’s confusing to him that if this is supposed to be real, then why would they pretend to marry each other?

When someone from the staffs walked towards them with a camera on hand, Yoongi knew it’s the start. Seeing the box on their hand, Yoongi got nervous of what’s about to come.

Yoongi,

In this box is a set of photos that would describe your partner. Complete the task in 5 minutes and you will be able to receive a phone that has your partner’s number.

“Oh! I love this game!” Hoseok said, “I play it a lot on my phone.”

“So we just need to guess his field in the entertainment industry then I get to talk to him?” Yoongi cleared out, “Sounds pretty easy to me.”

Pulling out the set of picture when given the cue. Apparently, him and his partner are being filmed in reel time. Both are set to identify facts about the other to find out if fate loves the enough to interact.

Video Camera

Lights

A Hanbok

A Ring

“This doesn’t even make sense.” Hoseok snorted, “How is this a clue?”

“Is he an actor?” Yoongi asked the producers, “I’m guessing from the video camera.”

The producer nodded and waited for the update on the other side before handing Yoongi another challenge card and a phone.

“Do you know any rising actor lately?” Yoongi turned to ask Hoseok, “Or why am I feeling it’s Jin hyung.”

Ah, yes. Kim Seokjin. One of the rising actors of their generation who happens to be Yoongi and Hoseok’s trainee friend because they used to come from the same company before Seokjin was transferred under an acting company.

“Is it?” Hoseok asked the producers but they only pointed at the challenge card.

Yoongi,

You can use this phone to message your partner if he is able to figure out what field in the entertainment industry you are the way you guessed that he is an actor. You can give more clues but never expose your identity.

“Was he able to guess who I was?” He asked the producers but the sudden beep of the phone answered his question instead.

Actor-nim: hello rapper-nim :)

Yoongi: actor-nim

“He guessed correctly too!” Hoseok squealed, “I bet he’s confused with the black cat.”

Yoongi: so you know who I am?

Actor-nim: maybe

Yoongi: thats unfair they only told me ur an actor

Actor-nim: I am

“You have an awful way of messaging,” Hoseok snorted looking at his texts, “Who uses ur these days?”

“I do?”

Actor-nim: so you rap [photo attached]

“Oh shit he has nice fingers.” Hoseok commented, “They can send photos?”

“As long as they’re not fully exposing themselves.”

Quietly laughing in his mind, Yoongi took a photo of the brand new MIDI set that he has that made him agree to this entire thing.

Actor-nim: nice hat. I’m a beret type of person.

And with that, a thought clicked to his mind. He’s updated about the news in the acting industry because of Seokjin and he knows someone who loves berets.

“I think I know him.” Yoongi quietly mumbled, “You know that actor from Hwarang who wears a beret a lot? What’s his name again?”

Hoseok’s eyes widened as the producers took away the phone from him quickly giving the next challenge card.

“You know too much.” They laughed.

Yoongi,

You will meet your partner tomorrow. Bring a gift that you think he would like.

“Tomorrow? That quick?” Hoseok exclaimed, “How can Yoongi think of a present so quick?”

“You should know me by now.” Yoongi quietly mumbled with the thought of which gift to give in a variety show.

Episode 2

Yoongi knew he should at least make an effort. With his gift, he should at least spend a penny for this. So with the help of the crews, they set up a specific spot in Hangang Park with a large box where he could fit inside and a couple of garlands on the leafless trees.

It was in the middle of January. It was still cold and the snowflakes fall on his hair. The snow today was unpredictable but the thought of whatever he is doing right now warmed his heart.

He knew who his partner would be. He already knew when he got a clearer clue. But he did not expect it to be the one and only Kim Taehyung.

Yoongi spends a lot of his resting time either sleeping or watching dramas on the television. Sometimes he thinks that watching the television could help him be more updated with the world, to know the celebrities he might encounter with one day. It’s a safe play for a musician like him.

Lately the news features an actor a lot for being known for his visuals and charismatic self. He was even the first in the most handsome list in the entire world, meaning this person is no joke. He must’ve been sculptured by the gods and Yoongi actually would agree whenever his face appears on the screen.

He was everywhere on the social media as well. A very active user of Twitter, posting his artworks and covers of songs every now and then. (Yoongi actually follows him because he produced a song in one of the dramas he was in). But he is so popular lately you can see his name on the trending list in Korea every time he tweets.

So of course there’s no way Yoongi wouldn’t know that face. Kim Taehyung made a name in the industry and it scared Yoongi a little thinking how would he handle this.

Thoughts flooded through his head like, why would a person like Kim Taehyung agree to a show like this? Did his manager bribe him of something too? Or he’s really just interested?

His thoughts was cut off when the producer told him to hide because he was coming. Instantly, he felt his blood rush through his veins as he quickly made his way inside the box. After easing his breathing, he touched the sides of this head, feeling the cat ears still attached.

For the variety.

“What’s this?” He heard a low chuckle from outside of the box. Yoongi’s breath hitched as he slowly saw the light reappearing “Should I open it now?” The voice said.

Letting out his heavy breaths, he exhaled one last time before the box flew open as he stood to see the one and only Kim Taehyung with his eyes closed.

Yoongi knew the cameras were on them and like a professional that he is, he pushed away all of his doubts and decided to speak out. “Look at me. I can’t believe I did this.”  He saw his eyes flew open as he slowly turned to face Yoongi, their eyes meeting for the very first time. Taehyung bursted out a chuckle smiling widely.

“I hope you like cats.” Yoongi joked touching the ends of the cat ears attached to the sides of his head.

Yoongi felt shy for a moment trying to hide off his smile because he was smiling too widely at his attempt to be funny. He tried to avoid eye contact but he could feel Taehyung’s heavy stares at him– stares that made him feel something so he decided to look back at the person in front of him.

He was indeed an epitome of the word perfect but what Yoongi noticed the most was his uneven eye lids, the little scar on his cheek, the prominent moles on his face, especially the one his lips that is currently being stretched out by his smile.

“I can’t believe I had the chance to see Agust D with cat ears.” He finally spoke. “Seokjin hyung is right, you don’t seem like a rapper at all.”

He felt surprised that he knew who he was. He wasn’t that famous compared to him but he knew him. “Well I’m not Agust D.” He shrugged off the entertainment familiarity for a second. “With you, I’m Min Yoongi.”

Smooth. He thought but a part of him wants to take back that awful attempt in flirting.

“Well I’m Kim Taehyung. Always been Taehyung.” He chuckled going a long with whatever Yoongi is trying to pull off.

Yoongi scrunched his nose as everything slowly became awkward for both of them. “I guess I should remove my ears now.” He mumbled.

“I finally understand why there was a black cat in the pictures to guess who you are.” Taehyung mentioned, “Suits you. You look like a cat”

Yoongi chuckled at the mention of the same thing over and over again, “So I’ve been told.”

Taehyung just let out a breathy laugh as his eyes shift as if he remembered something. “Seokjin hyung actually thought my partner would be Hoseok hyung.” He spoke with his hand on his own nape, “I hope you like bright things.” With that, Taehyung handed Yoongi a paper bag that revealed a bright yellow sweater. “Right now, I think it would suit your skin tone.”

He accepted the gift with a smile taking the sweater out of the bag placing it on top of him to see the fit, “It’s nice. Thank you.” He shyly said. “I rarely use coloured clothes but I’ll make sure to wear this.”

Yoongi just stared at the yellow sweater, feeling the texture of it knowing it would be very comfortable.

“Yoongi, your gift.” The producer said between their awkward silence.

“I’m the gift.”

How was your first meeting?

“I’m glad he accepted me as a gift.”

“I didn’t expect it to be awkward. I guess I still wasn’t sure how to act around him.”

Episode 3

What is your ideal date?

“Stay at home and watch movies, probably.”

“An amusement park. I want to experience the cheesy ferris-wheel moment.”

The first meeting was brief because Yoongi had a writing session with Jeongguk. It’s been a week since they first met and they’ve done nothing but message each other non-stop joking about the things they were wary to tell the other on that day.

Like how Taehyung was so brave to call out how small Yoongi was beside him and Yoongi couldn’t really disagree because Taehyung was indeed taller than him and had a bigger structure. Whereas Yoongi stopped growing when he was in high school.

Yoongi is in his studio while Jeongguk was practicing his lines inside the recording booth when he received a message from Taehyung with a photo attached of him with a white cat.

Taehyung: Ah hyung, look at my neighbour’s cat. It looks just like you.

Yoongi: You think every cat looks like me.

After sending, Taehyung sent another photo of him and the cat but this time he was kissing the feline’s head. Yoongi smiled at how soft and innocent the younger was. Remembering how eager he was to plan their first date. He let him be because if Yoongi was the one to plan, they might just stay at home and that is definitely not show-worthy.

A tap from the recording room was heard as Yoongi looked up at Jeongguk. Yoongi turned on Jeongguk’s mic allowing him to hear the younger, “Hyung, I’ve been talking here for five minutes and you’re not listening? Who are you texting anyway?”

Yoongi felt his ears redden as he just shrugged, “Are you ready with the vocals?” He asked avoiding the question.

“As long as I become part of your fake best man, then we’re set to start.” Jeongguk teased. Yoongi rolled his eyes at him playing the instrumental of Jeongguk’s comeback song.

The next day, Taehyung told Yoongi that he will pick him up so Yoongi diligently sent him his home address. Wearing the bright yellow sweater that Taehyung gave him, he wore his watch as the final touch.

It’s not that Yoongi prepared too early but he almost fell asleep waiting for Taehyung’s text message that he was there. When the older received the message, he quickly typed in a response that he was on his way down as he got inside the lift.

Yoongi scanned the lobby looking for Taehyung and when he did, their eyes met seeing Taehyung slowly make his way towards him.

“You wore it already?” Taehyung smiled and Yoongi shyly nodded. “I actually like it. Wore it last week when I was in the studio.”

They talked more while on their way to their destination. Both of them were finally feeling less awkward after the multiple conversations on the kakao and maybe a couple of video calls as well. He felt Taehyung’s confidence in joking and laughing around him making Yoongi feel at ease too. For a moment, both of them forgot the cameras filming.

The drive took two hours until they near their destination. Yoongi looked out the window sighting a huge rollercoaster and a few more rides in front of the mountain. “Oh no.” He muttered, “Please tell me we’re not going to an amusement park.”

Taehyung quickly turned, face full of fear, “You don’t like it?”

Realising that Taehyung must have prepared for this date, he sighed. “I-It’s alright. It’s been a while since I’ve been in an amusement park.”

But really, Yoongi doesn’t like the idea of amusement parks. He doesn’t like the rides because he feels nauseous easily. He doesn’t like loud kids. And as much as possible, Yoongi wants to stay home that’s why he suggested that during the interview. But this date wasn’t his call, so all he does was breathe.

As much as possible, he tried to have all of the patience in the world. He didn’t really want to ruin the date for Taehyung because the younger prepared for it. He notices that the younger tries to pick the rides with less motion so that Yoongi wouldn’t feel sick and he appreciates him for that.

He felt the cautiousness of Taehyung and how caring he was reassuring if the ride would be fine and asking if things are good after. Yoongi always tries his best to say yes because if only people could see how bright his eyes go whenever he says those. He tries to overcome every fear he has just to see Taehyung’s eyes shine in happiness.

But of course after going around the entire amusement park for almost three hours, Yoongi reached his peak. Despite the cold feels of winter, the heat of the sun shines on them as they neared another big and deadly ride. “Hyung do you want to ride that?” Taehyung asked pointing at a high rotating ride. “I’ve always wanted to ride that. If that’s okay.”

He stared at the ride feeling all of the water he drank come up. “Taehyung-ah, I’m gonna be honest with you.” He coughed, hoping Taehyung would be a little understanding with this ride. “I’m scared of rides. I’ve actually been holding everything in since earlier.”

Taehyung looked down as if he wasn’t surprised. “You could’ve told me. I was actually unsure with the date.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve been enjoying.” He tried to reassure. “I just don’t like the other rides that you like. I didn’t like the bumper cars tho.” He mumbled feeling the understanding personality of Taehyung start to kick in.

But instead of saying something calm, Taehyung retorted “But that’s like the funnest ride in an amusement park! You were bumping with random strangers earlier and you seemed to be enjoying.”

“Exactly my point.” Yoongi chuckled. “They’re not that fun. I mean, if it was meant to be entertaining, then why wasn’t I in an entertaining scenario? I was just pretending.”

He saw the younger pout huffing, “You should’ve been an actor then.”

Feeling the tension rise with all of the cameras pointed at them, Yoongi knew he had to do something. An intense argument started in his head debating, do I do it? Or not?

If I do things might be more awkward,

If I don’t we’ll end up fighting in this episode.

Ah fuck it.

“We seem to disagree on a lot of stuff.” He pointed out calmly. “This is going to be hard.”

“It wouldn’t be if we compromise.” Taehyung mumbled. “Or speak out.” He snapped.

“No need to be pissy.” Yoongi teased to ease the tension between them, “How bout this.” Fuck I will do this, huh? “If we’re likely to fight, we’ll hold hands. Deal?” He said taking the younger’s hand in his.

He can see that Taehyung was indeed surprised. At first he felt the hesitation but the moment Taehyung closed intertwined fingers with his, he knew it worked.

“Now, do you want to ride the ferris wheel?” Yoongi asked and Taehyung shyly nodded hiding his smile and flustered cheeks.

It was the perfect time to ride the ferris wheel. The sun was almost setting when they got inside of the capsule. The sky was painted with a mixture of pink and orange. Encapsulated in a small space, Yoongi admired the way the younger looked.

To his eyes, Taehyung knows exactly what he wants and doesn’t want. He wants people around him to be honest with him and he doesn’t like it when people pretend. His purity and admiration with life is so simple despite living such grand life.

“We should both plan the next date to know whether we both like it or not.” Taehyung suggested and Yoongi simply nodded.

“You said to compromise. How about we try something that I like doing? And alternately do that? Get ourselves interested with what the other likes.” Yoongi replied.

“That’s a good idea.”

It seems like Taehyung was interested to get to know Yoongi more and he liked the idea of planning already a next date before the producers even tell them to.

Falling in love with the view in front of them, Yoongi felt Taehyung’s hand move closer to his and took his hand intertwining it with his. Yoongi simply smiled with fondness.

How was your first date?

“I found an excuse to hold his hand.”

“It was still awkward and he doesn’t like amusement parks but good thing it ended well.”

  Episode 4

What is your favourite type of skin ship?

“Definitely holding hands”

“I like putting my arm around them or holding hands”

Yoongi acknowledges that holding hands whenever they disagree might be his best idea ever. Because of the amount of disagreements that they’ve had, Yoongi got used to holding Taehyung’s hand. From absurd coffee drinking habits where he hears endless comments from Taehyung to lessen the caffeine at night, to deciding whether to spend the limited date money on fish cakes or not.

It has been a month since they started filming and as time passes by, the grew closer to each other. Talking to the other even off-camera became a natural thing.

There was a time during the Melon Music Awards where Yoongi won an award of Best Producer. Taehyung attended that same award show because he was going to present.  When Yoongi won, the camera panned to Taehyung making the crowd scream louder than expected. The way their fans reacted were mostly positive to their on-screen pairing. It is as if they were meant to be together at some point.

They went on break for a while because they had enough episodes for a month. Taehyung suddenly had a film to shoot and Yoongi’s come back is nearing. (And maybe Yoongi had accepted the fact that this show is for publicity because the pre-orders inflated.)

Today was a different date. After a couple of dates outside, Taehyung decided to visit Yoongi at his studio. Other than that, they were also scheduled to plan their fake wedding with their friends. Thinking about it, he remembers all of the time that his mother asked him when will he marry and how excited she is to finally have a grandson or daughter. Though his mum heard about the show, she was still ecstatic hoping that he could somewhat experience the same thing for real soon.

Rendering the last set of songs for his collaboration with Jeongguk, he heard the typing sound of code from his door. As soon the door unlocked, he saw Taehyung come in with a dog and a cameraman behind him. “Surprise!”

“Hey– What?” Yoongi said pausing the rendering track, “You brought a dog?”

“Meet Tannie.” He introduced waving the dog’s paw, “You said you miss Holly and I have Tannie so I thought why not bring him today.”

Ah, yes. His dog Holly was being taken care of his older brother because he was too busy to look after her. Yoongi took Yeontan in his arms, massaging its fur as Taehyung sat by his couch. “I also brought take-out in case you haven’t eaten yet. Knowing you, you must have stayed here long without eating.”

He took the food from Taehyung, opening it and quickly taking a bite of the dumpling, “Thanks.”

“So what were you working on?” Taehyung asked mid-chewing his food. “I heard from Hoseokie hyung that you rarely leave the studio.”

“I’ve been busy.” Yoongi stated simply, giving Tannie a dumpling.

“Not busy enough to see me?” Taehyung teased. Yoongi wanted to say Yes, I always make time to see you. But instead he just rolled his eyes, “I’ve always wanted to sing! But I never got the chance to sing in OSTs.” Taehyung followed pretending what he said before that didn’t happen.

“You should let me hear your voice then.” Yoongi replied. “To know of I’ll make you a song.”

It sounded so casual but in fact, Yoongi is already making Taehyung a song. He knows what Taehyung sounds like after watching a few of his fan meets where he sang the OSTs of the dramas he starred in. He knows how his deep voice would sound whenever he is singing and it is the most passionate voice he has ever heard. His range is simply incredible and yes, Yoongi is writing a song for him.

Taehyung just laughed at what he said, coughing as a preparation for his sample, “Don’t laugh okay. Back back to the basic, microphone check!”

“I understand why you don’t have a song.” Yoongi joked. “I noticed you’ve been listening to my songs.”

“I love your songs.” Taehyung honestly said. “It’s been a while since I’ve listened to actual songs. I mostly listen to OSTs for the scenes. Your songs and raps are really great, hyung. I can see why everyone loves you.”

Yoongi can feel his cheeks get hot as he simply thanked the younger, taking another bite of the food he seemed to forget after listening to Taehyung’s compliments.

They stayed in the studio for a while, Yoongi talking about the equipments he have in his studio that Taehyung seemed to be curious about. The cameraman shuts the recording as Yoongi started to play a few tracks for Taehyung.

Finally, after rendering the last track, they went off to the same café where Taehyung claimed to film his first episode with Seokjin. Their friends were supposedly on their way to film the first shoot together.

“Taehyung!” Hoseok greeted Taehyung pulling him into a tight hug, kissing his head. “It’s been a while.”

Yoongi smiled with fondness glad that their friends seemed to have known each other. It felt as if him and Taehyung were always bound to meet even without the show (Maybe sometimes he hopes it could’ve been that way)

“Hi Yoongi,” Seokjin greeted him, “You see, we’ve been friends and we don’t really know why we haven’t introduced you both to each other.”

“Would’ve been a bummer if I met my future husband so soon, eh?” Yoongi joked, “I did it for the views.” He added but not really meaning it.

Him and Taehyung were both doing it for the promotion in the first place, but as time passes by Yoongi doesn’t really care about the views and attention this would bring.

What matters to him right now is he knows a Kim Taehyung.

And maybe he’s falling for him, a little.

What do you like the most about your partner?

“I like how he appreciates all the little things.”

“I like his smile. The best smile angel of the universe, Min Yoongi.”

Episode 5

Where do you want to go the most?

“Can we film outside South Korea?”

“Is this for a honeymoon?”

It’s been three months since everything started. Taehyung’s movie was done with its filming and is set to premier in a month time. And today is the day where he will marry Kim Taehyung.

Yoongi feels nothing but nervousness. It’s not like its real but he doesn’t know why Taehyung has been acting weird in the past few weeks. He’s been avoiding Yoongi a lot and Yoongi doesn’t know how to act. He doesn’t know if he is still acting during shoots because all confusions aside, he knows he likes Kim Taehyung.

And maybe Taehyung became aware that’s why he’s been avoiding him? Nobody knows. But what Yoongi should think about right now is how he is on his way with Hoseok and Jeongguk, on their way to a place where he will fake marry Taehyung.

“We are all gathered today for the wedding of Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung.” Namjoon started making everyone laugh, including him and Taehyung, “Stop laughing, I’m a manager.”

The cameras were everywhere panning close to Yoongi and Taehyung’s face as they both looked at each other. “I can’t believe this is happening.” Taehyung spoke as part of the act and Yoongi just shyly smiled because neither can he.

And everything happened so quickly that Yoongi couldn’t keep track of what just happened. It wasn’t really a formal wedding since it is fake. They only exchanged I do’s and a message, (No, they didn’t kiss). And they had a simple after party with their friends and a couple of the producers.

But Yoongi felt happy. It might be pretend but he feels something giddy inside of him as if he was really tied down to Taehyung now.

Taehyung and Yoongi,

Congrats on your wedding! Here are tickets to a place that your managers suggested. Enjoy your honeymoon!

Both of them read it out loud, eyes widening at the place. “Did you tell them you want to go here?” Yoongi asked to Taehyung who declined. “Did you?”

Yoongi shook his head, “Whose idea it is to bring us to Hawaii?”

Taken a back by the place, they were informed that everything was already settled including the flight, the place where they will stay and it was a perfect match to both of their schedules.

They checked in their flight, keeping in mind to use the self camera, “I still can’t believe we’re going to Hawaii.” Taehyung said, “I only told them anywhere is fine.”

And that was when Yoongi remembered his pre-interview. “I actually told them I wanna go out of the country.” He chuckled, “I didn’t know they would bring us across another continent.”

It took them almost twelve hours before they arrived in America and another domestic flight before they arrived in Hawaii. Most of the time, they were asleep because of the long trip and off-camera time. The moment they checked in the hotel, Taehyung was amazed at how big the place was but Yoongi’s focus was not on the place but on the bed.

“There’s a bed.” He said stating the most obvious, as the camera panned to him. “I guess we’re sharing?”

“We’re husbands anyway.” Taehyung laughed jumping on the bed.

The producers gave them time to rest for a while before they will film again for dinner. Yoongi decided to settle down his stuff, while Taehyung searched up some places to eat.

“You know Panda Express?” Taehyung asked, “My friend Bogum said they have nice food.”

Yoongi chuckled at the younger’s innocence before pulling out the money that was given to them. “Tae, I just realised they gave us limited money,”

Taehyung looked over the producers, who was obviously avoiding eye contact, “You have a challenge card, don’t you?”

Taehyung and Yoongi,

Spend the perfect date in Hawaii with limited money. Make sure to maximise every cent given.

Taehyung showed Yoongi the prices of the food he saw. Most of the decent food costs a lot, “We can’t use our own money?”

“We asked your company to hold your credit cards.”

“You’re good.” He noted, “We only have fifty.” Yoongi told Taehyung who seemed to have calm down a bit after scrolling more.

“We can fit that.” He reassured.

Out of habit, Yoongi reached out for Taehyung’s hand as they walked by the beach near them. They left the hotel at the perfect time because the skies turned a mixture of pink and orange. It reminded of Yoongi when they went out on their first date, “Hyung, remember the ferris wheel?” Taehyung asked and Yoongi hummed noticing that the younger was thinking of the same thing, “It was sunset too.”

“We have a lot of sunset shots then.” Yoongi stated taking a picture of Taehyung by the sunset.

To Yoongi, it was the most perfect mix. Taehyung and sunsets. He loves how the sun shines against Taehyung’s melanin skin making him look glowing. Yoongi always loved sunsets and maybe an addition would be better.

“I miss home.” Taehyung randomly blurted out cutting Yoongi from his thoughts. “I’ve been living in Seoul since and haven’t had the time to go home.”

“Really? Where are you from?” Yoongi asked, pretending that he doesn’t know but really he knows after doing his research of Taehyung after knowing he will be his partner.

“Daegu but I moved to Geochang and grew up there.”

“I’m from Daegu too.” Yoongi mentioned and Taehyung simply nodded.

And Yoongi felt it. He felt that Taehyung really had been distant and it didn’t matter that they are in Hawaii. Taehyung still feels like he is left in Korea and Yoongi doesn’t know why.

He overthought about everything he did, that maybe he did something? Or he said something? Did something happen to Taehyung that he doesn’t know about? Or is he just tired?

Hoping it was the latter, they went to the nearest Korean restaurant for dinner. For once, the mood was quiet and no one wanted to speak. They were eating a limited amount of food because of the limited money that they have. Yoongi accepted the silence watching Taehyung be bothered, “Stop staring,” He mumbled hoping he’d distract Taehyung from his thoughts.

“You can have the last meat.” Taehyung mumbled, “I’ve eaten enough.”

The night went by fast and Yoongi decided to clean up quick and lie in bed. His thoughts became clouded with concern why Taehyung has been acting weird. He was concerned and wanted Taehyung to open up because it seems like there’s more to the story of missing home.

He wished Taehyung would open up to him because he cares and actually wants to be there for him, because he knows to himself that everything he’s doing was never pretending.

Yoongi always had an idea that reality shows are real, therefore he decided to act like himself. With his image, everyone predicted him as someone who is cold and is hard to talk to but in reality, he’s not. He actually shows that he cares a lot but people just fail to see them. He hopes that Taehyung would see it.

He fell asleep for a while but woke up feeling the other side of the bed still empty. 11:19 pm the time showed, meaning Yoongi had only been asleep for twenty minutes.

He looked over the balcony to see Taehyung who was still awake. “Why are you there?”

Taehyung turned around, surprised, “I can’t sleep.”

“Why?” Yoongi asked hoping Taehyung would budge and finally open up.

“Do I need a reason?” He snapped.

Please. “Something’s probably bothering you.” Yoongi pushed further, “You’ve been acting weird since last week.” Please feel that I care. “You know you can tell me anything right?”

“I just miss home.” He simply said. “Not Seoul but my actual home.”

Yoongi wanted to ask further but he knows how Taehyung feels. Sometimes because of his own schedule, he doesn’t really have the fortune of time to come home. He misses his family, and of course Holly the most.

Not that he’s overthinking but he can feel that feeling homesick is not the thing Taehyung is bothered about.

But instead of pushing further, he decided to just go along with it, “You know you can go home anytime right?” Yoongi asked, “Want me to come with you when we get back to Seoul?” He added wanting to get to know Taehyung more than his Seoul self.

Taehyung’s eyes met Yoongi’s and he saw how his eyes brightened at the suggestion, “You would do that?” And Yoongi nodded with a lazy smile, “Thank you.”

Yoongi took Taehyung’s hands, intertwining their fingers together, “Anything to see your smile.”

And in that moment, Yoongi wished he had the key to Taehyung’s heart.

Episode 6

When they got back from Hawaii, both were lucky not to have a schedule. Yoongi did come home with Taehyung to visit his family. Yoongi met Taehyung’s grandmother and his younger siblings. He watched Taehyung give them the tightest hug ever and he watched himself fall even more.

Yoongi established to himself that he likes Taehyung before they even got married. It was Taehyung he’s talking about. It is not hard to like Taehyung and It’s so easy to fall in love with him.

The way Taehyung is was just perfect to him. He liked how innocent Taehyung was to his field of entertainment. He liked how interested Taehyung was in everything he does. He liked how at ease he feels whenever he’s with Taehyung. He liked how his parents welcomed Taehyung at home and how Holly like Taehyung too. He loved holding Taehyung’s hand and maybe he wants to hold it even longer.

“Thank you.” Taehyung mumbled as they drove their way back to Seoul after the short trip back to Daegu. “You didn’t have to, you know?”

“I was worried.” Yoongi quietly mumbled, “It felt different, the way you were acting.”

“You don’t need to be too worried.” Taehyung said. “We’re not even together or anything.”

“Do I have to be your boyfriend to worry about you?” Yoongi asked and Taehyung just remained silent.

After what Yoongi just said, the drive was nothing but silent with thick tension. Yoongi dropped Taehyung home and exchanged silent good nights knowing this might be the last.

Almost four months ago, Yoongi was bribed with a new MIDI set to join a reality show called We Got Married. He attended every shoot with nothing but he’s true self. At first he thought it would be fun and that the end wouldn’t matter that much.

That’s what he thought.

Because if you actually get attached and fall in love with a certain Kim Taehyung, it would be hard to stop. Even if today was their last day of shooting.

Yoongi thought about it, even after last night with their awkward encounter, he knew he should confess before everything ends.

For the last proper shoot, they were in Yoongi’s studio. He was secretly finishing Taehyung’s song rambling how he couldn’t find the perfect sound to this one part.

“You’re quiet.” Yoongi mentioned in between rambles. “Awfully quiet.”

Taehyung just looked up at him, “The show is almost over.”

Yoongi’s breath hitched.

We’re talking about that huh?

“And what about it?” Yoongi asked hopefully they’ll stop talking about it.

But no. Taehyung pushed further, “We both got the promotion we need. That’s why we both agreed to this, right?”

He tried to keep a straight face, afraid that he will face rejection too quickly before he even confesses. “What are you trying trying to say?”

“I think it’s better for us to stop seeing each other after the last shoot.”

Ah, he thinks that?

Yoongi sat in silence not wanting to ask but he felt the urge to mumble a broken a why? Despite knowing that the answer would break him even more.

“Sometimes, I forget why we were doing this.” He stifled a laugh, “I was enjoying too much that I forgot that everything was just for the show and I forgot how to act. I forgot that the holding hands fiasco were part of a script to make the show more enjoyable.”

But I love holding your hand. “I’m not getting your point here, Taehyung.”

“There’s no point at all.” Taehyung says, “I just think that everything that happened should be kept as an act for the show.” Taehyung stood from his place, and Yoongi fought the urge to grip his arm, “I’ll see you at the last shoot, hyung.”

And Yoongi watched Taehyung leave his studio before he broke down into tears.

Yoongi was never afraid of falling in love. He was never afraid to try new things because of how Taehyung made him feel.

Taehyung made him feel things he didn’t know he was capable of feeling. He thought Taehyung felt the same way with the way he acts. They were so happy together but maybe Taehyung was just really good in his job. Maybe that’s why he’s known for it because he sure really is a great actor.

And Yoongi didn’t know that Taehyung was capable of making him believe in what he thinks is true. Yoongi still believes that Taehyung feels the same as him.

What do you want to tell your partner before you part ways?

“Taehyung-ah, Let’s stay together.”

“I like you a lot, hyung.”

Episode 7

“He rejected you before you even confessed?” Hoseok asked after hearing Yoongi basically vent out his feelings to Taehyung. Hoseok volunteered to accompany Yoongi to their last shoot because they’ll be going somewhere after.

“Not really.” Yoongi mumbled, “He just said he doesn’t want to see me after the shoot. But Seok-ah, I’m pretty sure he likes me too. Everything can’t be fake to him.”

“Maybe he’s just afraid.” Hoseok suggested, “He was so used to everyone acting that he forgot what reality feels like.”

So do you still remember your pre-interview?

“Yeah”

“It wasn’t that long ago.”

How do you feel about being interviewed together now?

“It feels weird, honestly”

“I mean, there’s nothing to feel awkward about anymore”

How was the other as a husband and did it fit your ideal person?

“Hyung was amazing. He doesn’t really fit as my ideal person but he proved to me that there’s more to our ideals.”

“I didn’t think I could tolerate him, but Taehyung was fun to be with.”

Did your relationship change overtime?

“We both became more comfortable with each other.”

“We learned how to compromise with each other instead of disagreeing.”

What’s one thing you want to tell the other right now?

“Hyung, thank you for this special relationship. I hope we hold hands always.”

“You want us to argue always?”

We’ll play the actual message you want to tell them.

Yoongi remembered in Hawaii, they were asked to give a short message to the other. He didn’t really want to be sentimental since he knows it will be aired but he was confused as to why Taehyung tensed and asked the producers to stop.

“I like you a lot, Hyung.” He heard a voice play as his “Taehyung-ah, let’s stay together.” followed.

And his heart stopped. He was right. A smile grew on Yoongi’s face as his eyes met with Taehyung’s. Nothing was ever fake.

Taehyung likes him.

Before Taehyung could speak about his message, they were signaled to do the ending lines, officially ending the season. “Thank you so much for supporting us in We Got Married! It was a really fun show to be in.” He said, “I’d like to thank this show for giving me a special relationship with Yoongi hyung.”

Yoongi looked at Taehyung fondly, “We’ve been Taegi. Good bye!” He said waiving at the camera.

And cut!

Yoongi knew Taehyung would run away, so before Taehyung could even stand, he gripped his arm. “Can we talk?” He asked.

“What’s up?” Taehyung asked calmly, avoiding eye contact and watching the set managers fix everything.

“Is it true?” Yoongi asked quickly, there’s no point in wasting time, “What you said in the video? Is it true?”

“I don’t know why you’re asking this, hyung.” Taehyung shakily replied, “Is there even a point in asking?”

“This is a reality show,” Yoongi tried to reason out, “It’s true, isn’t it?”

He saw Taehyung just breathe out a what seemed like, unbelievable, before hitting him with a shot of truth, “That’s the thing, hyung. Reality shows aren’t meant to be real. We all know we act differently when there’s a camera. You can’t be that stupid to know that.” He harshly said, “It’s all an act. I’ve always been faking it.” Yoongi felt small. Looking down on his feet, with his hands closed in a tight fist. Yoongi doesn’t know how to respond because he knows Taehyung is right. He’s been too naive and stupid to believe, “Is there anything else you wanna say? I have an appointment.”

Fighting the tears from falling, Yoongi avoided eye contact and reached out his hand. “Here.” He said handing a flash drive to Taehyung, “I realised I never gave you a proper gift. I also promised I’d write you a song so here.” He tried looking at Taehyung’s eyes with no emotions, “I’m not really a singer but if you want to sing this, you know where my studio is.” He tried smiling at Taehyung one last time before he turned his back, “I finished that after you left the studio last time.”

Don’t look back.

“Just so you know, I’m good at pretending too.” He breathed out, “But pretending to like someone? I can’t do that.”

Don’t look back.

He looks back one last time, “And I like you a lot, Taehyung.”

Yoongi thinks he’s going crazy. No– He is crazy. After confessing to Kim fucking Taehyung, of course he never heard from him again. What was he even expecting when Taehyung made it clear that everything was an act?

After the last shooting was over, the next day, his album was released. He became busy with promotions going to music shows and interviews. His title track got wins and all-kills in music platforms. It might be his best album yet, all thanks to a show.

It sinked in to him that Yes, the show helped for promotions and yes, Kim Taehyung still doesn’t like him.

He had a free day for today and because of his (not so lucky) luck, today was also the premier of Taehyung’s movie that he filmed before and a couple of scenes during their shoot. And for once, Yoongi made his big screen useful by turning on the channel where they were live streaming the premier of the movie.

It was a first seeing Taehyung walk the red carpet because last time he saw him walk was down the aisle, not that he’s reminiscing or anything. All of the cast sat by the stage with a couple of microphones as they prepared for the question and answer from the press.

The first few questions were about the movie and their own experiences. Taehyung was so passionate talking about it and Yoongi thought of buying tickets for the first official showing tomorrow.

But questions were narrowed down to their personal lives as someone asked Taehyung, “How was the experience for We Got Married?” Yoongi’s ears perked, curious to know what Taehyung would say. “It was amazing. First time filming a reality show and it felt nice to finally show the world who I really am regardless of scripts.”

Yoongi scoffed, he’s really good in acting.

“What’s the future for you and Yoongi?” Another press asked following up more questions about Yoongi and him. “You said it’s real, so are you and Yoongi still in touch?”

“No,” Yoongi whispered to himself. “He completely cut me off, so.”

“That’s enough.” Yoongi heard Jimin from the television, “Taehyung would most likely want to keep things between him and Yoongi private, right Taehyungie? Please ask questions related to our movie.”

Yoongi decided to turn of the television after that. He doesn’t want to hear more because he’s pretty sure the press would end up asking more.

He hated it. He hated how good Taehyung was in acting. It seemed like he wasn’t really affected and he hated how despite everything, he cannot easily forget about what he feels for the younger.

Instead of thinking about it again, Yoongi decided to go back to what he was working on. Repeating the same beat over and over again for the past two hours, it was put to a stop when there was a knock on the door.

Yoongi was confused who could be at his studio at eleven at night but instead, he walked towards the door unlocking it seeing a face he never thought he’d see again. “Can I record the song?” Taehyung asked biting his lips shyly.

“I guess so,” Yoongi quietly replied not wanting to ask so much, “How was the premier?”

It slipped.

“You knew?” Taehyung asked confused, Yoongi just shrugged.

“I guess I’m quite updated lately. I also watched the interview earlier,” He continued to slip, “I thought reality shows were fake?” He bravely spoke.

“I-I thought it was fake to you.” Taehyung stammered, avoiding eye contact.

And Yoongi knew what it meant.

He lifted the younger’s head, making him look at him, “So you want to record the song or did you come here for a different reason?” Yoongi beamed, “Please be honest this time.”

Taehyung took his hand intertwining them with his, “Min Yoongi, I like you. Do you want to go out with me? For real, this time?”

“Thought you wouldn’t ask.”

Yoongi was taken a back when Taehyung pulled him closer and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead, “No more faking?” Taehyung asked.

“I wasn’t even faking it in the first place.”
