Taehyung huffs at this confusion, but reiterates his question, a demanding undertone to it this time. "Ask me again."
It takes a second for Hoseok to catch onto the meaning behind the other boy's words, but he breaks out into a large smile once he does. Taehyung returns his grin with a small one of his, lips quirked up and head tilted in his direction.
Clearing his throat, Hoseok sits up straighter, turning his body to face Taehyung, and starts, "Kim Taehyung, we've known each —"
"No!" Taehyung exclaims suddenly, shoving Hoseok's shoulder with a half-appalled expression. "Not like that, oh my god. Don't ask me like that!"
Lifting both corners of his lips, Hoseok tries for a faux innocent smile before blinking and asking, "Then how am I supposed to ask you?"
Taehyung rolls his eyes at his theatrics before instructing him, "Like you did before. Don't ask me like you're proposing to me!"
(aka Hoseok and Taehyung grow up together. They drift closer, and they drift further apart. They fall in love, and they fall out of love. They share smiles, and they share fights. But at the end of it all, they end up right where they belong – with each other.)
