just love me right

Chapter Text

It started because the three of them were late one morning.

(At least that’s what Jungkook thought.)

He was taking his shower because dibs to the faster one to run to the bathroom, but Jimin stepped in a few minutes after him, shoving in the morning sun all respect due to the holy dibs. “What the-- hyung!”

Jimin stripped himself of his pajamas and went in the shower where Jungkook was already minding his own business, thank you very much. “I’m late, Jungkookie!”

Jungkook yelled, outraged (but deep down, not really). “Taehyung-hyung!”

Taehyung’s voice came from the living room, deep and hurried “What!”

“Your boyfriend is taking a shower with another man!”

“If it’s you, it’s okay Jungkookie!"

Jungkook's eyes popped open and he shouted, "Are you saying I'm not threatening? Hyung I'm plenty--"

"Gotta go, see you tonight!”

And that was it. Jungkook heard the front door shut loudly, and was now frozen on his spot. Jimin was behind him, rummaging through the various soaps Jungkook liked to hoard (he didn’t have a problem, he just liked scents okay?).

“Ah!”

Jungkook started at Jimin’s victorious exclamation, and looked hurriedly around him to do something, act natural, because suddenly Jungkook had no idea what the hell he was supposed to do in a shower?

“Jungkookie?”

“Right! Yes?”

“... I just asked if you could shift a little to share water?”

Jungkook groaned and whined but still stepped on the side to let Jimin in the water. He came closer and they were actually touching, was this all really happening? “Hyung, i-if you’d waited for me to finish--”

“I’d be late as hell, come on, don’t be a baby.”

Jungkook pouted and then immediately stopped because he was not a baby. He was an adult and could totally shower with a friend.

Holding a friendly crush for said friend was irrelevant.

Jungkook tried again to find something to do with himself and the reduced space alloted to his body that was suddenly way too big for this shower stall. Thankfully, Jimin shoved soap in his hand like it was the most natural thing to do.

Jungkook tried a glance at him and regretted it immediately. Jimin was focused on washing his armpits and chest, looking at the ceiling, and the line of his neck was simply criminal. His arms were criminal too. Park Jimin’s existence was a crime.

The very moment he thought about leaving the shower (without having even washed), Jimin noticed him staring and gave him that bright, crescent-eyed smile. “Are you blushing Jungkook-ah?”

“The water is hot.”

To Jungkook’s utter horror, Jimin’s hand reached his cheek and pinched it playfully. “Are you embarrassed? Is it the first time you shower with someone else?”

Jungkook swated his hand away, but Jimin used his other one to pinch Jungkook’s sides, so of course Jungkook had to retaliate. He didn’t even think about it, his body reacted on instinct. It ended up in Jimin broken laughters, using Jungkook’s shoulders to support his weight. Jungkook was smiling so big it made his mouth hurt.

Jimin finally calmed down and had a pleased sigh and kissed Jungkook’s cheek. The second after he was giving a slap on his wet, naked butt before exiting the shower stall. “Hurry Kook-ah, you’re gonna be late.”

“And whose fault is that!”

Jimin wrapped himself in a huge towel, his laughter following him outside the bathroom.

Jungkook clenched his fists, staring at the wall of tiles in front of him. He was not going out of this bathroom until Jimin had left the apartment. Even if that meant he was going to be late as hell.

Chapter Text

Jungkook had always been told he would present as an alpha. His parents, his brother, his teachers, his friends, everyone had always behaved as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Jungkook belatedly realised it was in the little remarks, off-handedly saying ‘you’ll be a good alpha’ or ‘thats so typically alpha of you’, that kind of things. He had never questionned it and was simply waiting for the day he would… pop a knot and call it a day.

That was the excuse Jungkook used to explain to himself why he had been so inexplicably attracted to Taehyung since day one.

Jungkook’s crush for Taehyung had been quick, and unexpected. Kim Taehyung made him feel at ease, made him want to stand closer. Jungkook wasn't sure if it was like that for every omegas or not, but he had quickly realised that his heart didn't beat that way for, say, Hoseok or Namjoon, as much as Jungkook admired them.

His feelings for Jimin had grown slowly. At first he had enjoyed teasing his tiny hyung. Again and again and again until Seokjin had wondered out loud if Jungkook wasn't tired of making the perpetual same jokes. Jungkook wasn't. He hoped that Jimin wasn't tired of it either because... Because he liked Jimin's attention. He liked making Jimin react to his banter.

Jungkook knew damn well it wasn't reasonable to have a friendly crush on two people, let alone your two best friends. Especially if they're dating. But he was bad with ignoring or fighting his own feelings. He was a terrible liar.

But he had decided to be reasonable about it. He had a plan. So far, he had not presented, but once he would officially present as an alpha, he was certain he would feel more confident about himself and what he could bring to their relationship, and he would confess to them.

In the meantime, he was going to hang in there, watching Taehyung and Jimin being grossly (adorably) over affectionate, remain as platonical as he could, and pray that Taehyung wouldn’t make too many innuendos--

Jungkook’s phone buzzed in his pocket, effectively pulling him out of his thoughts.

The message on the screen had him frowning.

Yoongi-hyung

Wanna talk about it? 16:12

Jungkook stared at his phone with a blank expression before he raised his head to look at Yoongi on the other side of the table.

It was a normal tuesday afternoon at their place, they had all gathered in the living room to work (or at least pretend they were working) and Jungkook had teased Yoongi and Hoseok the minute before for their gross public display of affection.

But his hyungs were used to friendly banter, so he didn't understand where Yoongi's question was coming from. Or why he was texting him instead of talking.

Jungkookie

About the way you shove your tongue inside Hobi-hyung's mouth?

no thx 16:14

Yoongi-hyung

About the way you stare at kim taehyung

Chapter Text

For a reason Jungkook couldn’t fathom, Taehyung and Jimin had agreed to let him live with them.

Well, there was at least one reason Jungkook could see: they were friends. So, friendship.

But Jimin and Taehyung had already been together when they had offered Jungkook to move in with them. Jungkook had wondered if he would disturb their domestic life. He had also wondered if he would survive his attraction for Taehyung.

'It's closer to college', they had said.

'It'd be a cheaper rent!'

'That place is so big.'

‘It’ll be more practical for you’, Jungkook wasn’t sure how practical it was for them.

He didn't really need to be convinced, but he used all those excellent reasons as excuses to move in.

It was months before Jungkook realised they had let him in more than their appartment. It had all happened so slowly, so progressively that Jungkook was almost shocked with the position they were in right now.

It was an evening like every other one at their place. The three of them had slumped on the couch, Jungkook in between Jimin and Taehyung. Jimin had snuggled between Jungkook’s legs, and Jungkook’s head was on Taehyung’s shoulder while Taehyung had wrapped his arms around him.

They were watching that episode of Boku no hero Academia, where Todoroki fights Midorima during the sports festival. Jimin gasped against Jungkook, and Jungkook absent mindedly thought about taming down his hormones because Jimin’s proximity had often done that to him. Like that morning in the shower with him.

Or on the couch. Or really anytime.

Jungkook had blinked, suddenly unaware of what was going on the screen. He could only feel Jimin’s weight against him, Taehyung’s warmth sipping through their clothes. He was hyperaware of the position they were in, and he realised he was between them.

Jimin and Taehyung had let him in their place, but they had let him in their intimacy too.

All Jungkook could think about now was how their hands touched more often lately. How their shoulders bumped more, how their eyes lingered longer.

There was more to it than touchy-feely friendship. Jungkook could feel something coming.

He hoped that ‘something’ didn’t come too fast. He hadn’t presented yet.
