Harry couldn’t help holding his breath as he walked into their quarters and saw Tom and B’elanna lounging on the couch together. The memory of his lover staring at him like a stranger was still fresh in his mind and he couldn’t help the sinking worry that he wasn’t welcome. Those fears were blown away as the couple noticed him and reached out with identical smiles.

Eve tried to keep the details in her mind but they were fading, it was becoming so hard to keep them. She knew she couldn’t let it go however, they were counting on her. If only she could remember who they were.

Even after all this time the Voyager crew still thought of him as just a program. Not all the time of course but there were moments when he could see in their eyes that they were thinking how he would never understand, never be as real as they were and there were moments when he agreed.

Seven had believed that this lack she felt whenever sexual intercourse was brought up was because her years as a drone had broken her. However as their relationship grew Harry had taught her that she was simply Asexual and that there was nothing wrong with that, or her.

For Lee the most horrifying thing about Gotham wasn’t the stabbings, shootings, bombings, or whatever other creative forms of destruction and torture it’s increasingly theatrical villains thought up. It wasn’t even the way the darkness of Gotham seemed to crawl under your skin and make a home there. For her the most horrifying part was that you got used to it.

Sometimes Tom felt that his entire life was one long mistake but as he delivered Linnis into this world he knew that he was wrong. When he handed Kes their beautiful daughter he understood that all the mistakes and pain had led to this and he was incredibly grateful.

Despite all the revelations of the past few days both of them were still keeping secrets. They both wanted to be able to trust the other but how could they when they didn’t have the full story.

Eleanor would sometimes tease Chidi that the whole relationship was solely a product of his inability to make a choice. This would usually cause Simone to pipe up with some psychology information that could be seen as a dig at both her partners. At one time this would have bothered Chidi but he now knew enough about himself and them to understand the love behind the comments and simply tease his partners back.

Kreig wouldn’t accept it. Seaquest has to be out there somewhere, his friends had to be out there somewhere, over 100 people couldn’t have just vanished! Everyone else may have accepted that they were gone but he couldn’t. It was too horrifying, too heartbreaking to accept that the people that he cared about so much were just gone.

Six gave One the medallion back because he was afraid that when rejoining Derek Moss’s life after his experiences on The Raza One would become just like the corporations, hard, untrustworthy and deaf to the people. He had already seen a shift in One since they first woke up and he didn’t want for the person who fought for the colony to be lost forever.

Chakotay couldn’t help but wish that Tuvok had been as affected by their time together as he was. To the Vulcan his time with the Maquis had simply been another mission but Chakotay had trusted him completely and that wasn’t something he could let go of.

“Live long and prosper” Tuvok said to her, even though they both knew she wouldn’t live past the next few hours. This was the last time he would be in her presence and he would not have it be cluttered with futile words. As Janeway hugged her truest companion she drew strength from him as she always had and as he embraced her back they exchanged without words their heartfelt goodbyes.

If this was truly their last hours than it was important for Chakotay that he and Tuvok hash out some of the issues that lay between them. Even though some of the betrayal and hurt had been left unsaid they parted with more of a truce between them than before. This helped more than either man was truly aware of.

The Doctor had warned Harry that it would still take time for B’elanna to get her full memory back but nothing could have prepared him for this. He had needed to see her desperately but as he walked towards her she looked at him like he was a stranger. She would remember him but it still hurt for one of the two people he loved most in this world to not recognize him.
