Strawberries, Sun Gods, and Secrets

Chapter Text

He was truly blessed. Strawberries were gods gift to the world, their ripe red color, their delicious tastes and their ability to melt in your mouth. He was truly blessed the be surrounded by them.

Taehyung rolled out of bed and looked out the window with a bright grin on his face. It was still dark out but that was ok, Hoseok always seemed to sleep in later than the farmer but he didn't mind. The night was a nice cover from the heat. The brunette wondered out of his home and rubbed his eyes before grabbing the bucket near by. "Good morning hobi." Taehyung said while looking at the sun that was peaking over the horizon. The God always worked hard and Taehyung appreciated when he blessed his crops. He turned back to the strawberries near him before tending to them. "Today is a festival in town.. I was thinking about going." Taehyung said before plucking a strawberry off and popping it into his mouth "I'd ask if you wanted to go but you're busy with the Sun." Taehyung added and looked up at the sky as the sun slowly rose before grinning widely.

It sometimes got lonely on the farm however the sun god always kept Taehyung company, even if he had never heard the god talk he knew the other was there. Hoseok was important, one of the most important people in Taehyung's life. Without him there would be no strawberries. "You read my mind hobi, I was thinking of taking strawberries to the town as well." The farmer said while watering his plants. It had been a while since he visited the inner town, he wondered if people still enjoyed strawberries as much as they once did.

"I hope it doesn't rain. Hobi can you make sure there's no rain? The festival sounds too fun." Taehyung continued talking as he pulled at the weeds that were trying to overcome his precious strawberries. "I know it's hard but tomorrow you could rain all you like." Taehyung added and looked up at the sky before smiling brightly and wiping the sweat off his forehead. "I don't really know what people wear at festivals I'll have just find my best clothes." Taehyung said before wiping his hands on his pants and humming a soft tune.

After he tended to his precious crops Taehyung collected enough to take to the festival before he started to change. His type of clothes weren't the upmost high fashion, they were loose and ones that were perfect for farming. The brunette clicked his tongue before reaching deep into his closet. The closest thing that was not farming clothes was a striped brown shirt his grandfather had given him, one that hung a bit too loosely on his frame, and black pants that were equally as loose. He kept them up with a belt made out of rope and tied his hair back with a strip of cloth to keep his bangs out of his eyes as he explored the town. When he stepped out he looked up at the sky and grinned brightly "You'll watch over me right Hobi?" Taehyung asked before picking up his strawberries that he was planning on selling. "To the city!" Taehyung exclaimed and started his trek.

Chapter Text

Well he had guessed the city would be incredibly different from his home town but this was a whole new level. Taehyung wondered the streets, holding his basket closely to avoid dropping strawberries as he was bumped around. At first the city was overwhelming, there were tons of things he had never seen, horses seemed to be everywhere. Man he wished he had a horse to help on the farm, they looked so cute and Taehyung would love to show Hobi the horses.

He could hardly hold back his excitement as he saw a group of horses sitting outside a building. Taehyung walked over and carefully placed his basket of strawberries down before reaching his hand out to touch the horse. "Whoa I've never seen a white horse before" Taehyung said and grinned even more as the horse allowed him to stroke its nose. If only Hobi was here to see this.

"Are you hungry? I have some tasty strawberries if you want some." Taehyung said and reached into his basket before offering them to the horse. His grin grew as the horse took the berries before turning to get another handful of berries. Taehyung's eyes grew wide when another hand grabbed his wrist. The farmer looked up slowly to see two boys staring at him. "What are you doing to my horse?" The blonde almost silver haired boy asked.

Taehyung blinked owlishly before looking at the white horse then the boys who had suddenly appeared. The one that had a hold on Taehyung's wrist stood taller than the other and had a conflicting mixture of adorable bunny and cold statue. "Are you like a ninja?" Taehyung asked and tilted his head to one side. He could feel the other's gaze burning into him and the farmer cleared his throat. "I had never seen a white horse before. I just wanted to feed it some strawberries." Taehyung said and wrinkled his nose before hearing the shorter boy giggle. "What it's true, it's my first time to the city. I didn't know." The farmer whined and dragged one hand over his face as he had a mental breakdown. What was this guy going to do? He seemed like he could beat Taehyung up, oh god he hoped not. He hoped the shorter one would at least stop him from being killed.

The other letting his wrist go was a surprise. Taehyung looked at his hand and then the other. "I'll let you go if you eat a strawberry. To prove you didn't poison my horse." The shorter boy said, a hint of humor in his voice, and Taehyung furrowed his brows. How could one poison strawberries? They were too pure and delicious to be used for evil. However Taehyung wouldn't turn down an opportunity to eat his delicious strawberries. He reached into the basket before biting into a nice ripe one. "See no poison, just delicious strawberry." Taehyung said and watched the other visibly relax.

"You should be more careful out here. Not all men are as nice as I was." The shorter boy said and Taehyung looked around curiously. He had never expected the city to be a dangerous place, he had always guessed it was like his home town. "Ah thank you," Taehyung said and bowed quickly before picking up his basket. "What is your name?" Taehyung added while looking at the other two who both seemed to panic.

"It's Jung," the taller boy said and Taehyung grinned brightly. Well Jung was a weird name but he wasn't the one to really judge. "It's nice to meet you Jung I'm Taehyung. And you are?" The farmer asked the shorter boy who seemed to always have a mischievous smile on his face. "Just call me Jim." The shorter boy said and Taehyung wrinkled his nose. City people had weird names.

The farmer adjusted the basket in his hands, God he had to go before he ate all his own strawberries. He blinked owlishly as the shorter boy offered out his arms. "The basket looks heavy let me take it to wherever you're going." Jim offered and Taehyung laughed gently. However the taller boy seemed to tense up, he wondered what relationship Jung and Jim had. "How sweet, are you sure you want to do it? I don't really know where I'm going."

"That gives me an even better reason to help you."

Chapter Text

Spending time with Jim was even nicer than Taehyung had imagined. The guy was even sweeter than how he first came off and he enjoyed the jokes the other shared with him. Even if Jung lingered around them, only joining in if Jim addressed him. It was an odd relationship. Taehyung looked at the other before sighing "we should sit and rest, I didn't know the market was this far away." The farmer said and took the basket from Jim's arms. He sat down on the grass under the tree and patted on the spot next to him. "I didn't really come to sell these so you can eat as many as you'd like." Taehyung offered before popping one into his own mouth. He looked over at the two and grinned brightly "it's my payment for helping me."

"I helped because I wanted to not because I wanted payment." Jum replied but still reached for the strawberries "well Jung didn't help at all.."
"I could've but you wouldn't let me." Jung protested and Taehyung couldn't help but laugh. As Taehyung watched the other he noticed how cute and handsome he was. He had to be younger than Taehyung, he was too cute to be older, and his height would scream that he's younger. The farmer hummed softly before leaning back against the tree. "The city is amazing. It's completely different than what I imagined." Taehyung said and leaned his head back "I can't imagine living here."

"Do you live on your farm?" Jung asked and Taehyung couldn't help but laugh at the other's question. "Of course I do. Where else would I live?" Taehyung asked and playfully shoved the other who awkwardly rubbed his shoulder. The farmer hummed softly and looked up at the sky, shielding his eyes from the sun.

"Do you make enough money? You look pretty thin.." Taehyung heard the Jim ask and he looked over at him. He shrugged before laughing. "It's not really the money I care for. It was my grandmother's farm so I'm taking care of it." Taehyung answered and stretched out before completely laying on the soft grass. He looked up at the other boy and grinned "what do you do? It must be a nice paying job since you could afford that horse." Taehyung asked and watched the other two curiously. However his eyes stayed on the silver haired boy, He could just stare at the Jim for days, the boy had this hidden charm in him that Taehyung found attractive.

"I uh... I work at the palace." Jung answered first and Taehyung's eyes grew wide. He ignored the fact that Jung always answered first in favor of rapid firing questions. "Really? Are you like a palace guard? That's so cool! No wonder you were able to sneak up on me." Taehyung exclaimed and sat up excitedly. However when he opened his mouth again the other boy slapped a hand on his mouth. That surprised Taehyung and he looked at the black haired boy before furrowing his brows. "You can't just scream that into the world. That could get all of us killed." Jung stated and Taehyung blinked owlishly before looking around.

"Nothing can hurt us. We have Hobi looking out." Taehyung stated and turned to his basket of strawberries which was already half empty. "Hobi?" Jim asked and Taehyung grinned even more before looking up at the sky. "Hobi is the sun god. He's one of my best friends he helps with my strawberries all the time." Taehyung said while looking at the sky.

"Gods don't exist." Jung said and Taehyung couldn't help but wrinkle his nose before standing up slowly. "They do too. I'll show you one day to prove it." Taehyung said and hummed softly before looking around "my farm is in the first town to the west of the city." Taehyung explained and pointed in the direction "it's the only strawberries one." The puzzled look Jung gave him that contrasted with Jimin's wide smile made Taehyung laugh softly. "So if you ever get bored of the palace life you can come visit and I'll prove to you gods exist." The farmer said but little did he know he had already met a third god.

Chapter Text

"Kim Taehyung you've missed you taxes for the past two months. We need your payments."

The farmer looked up from his spot on the ground among the strawberries to see the rude looking tax collectors standing in front of him. "I promise I don't have the money right now but I'll get it to you soon." Taehyung said and frowned at the sight of some of the collectors standing in his precious strawberries. "You said that last time. If you can't pay up we're going to arrest you." The man said and Taehyung hissed as he felt rough arms around his arms. "I promise. Please the farm is the only thing I have." He begged and looked around.

"Since you failed to pay we're going to have to take you. Maybe you can make your payments up some other way." The man's face was too close to Taehyung's and he could smell the lingering alcohol on his breath. "A pretty boy like you will do well you'll be back on your farm in no time."

Before he knew it his arms were tied behind his back and he was slung over some strange man's shoulder. Taehyung felt sick, oh god why didn't he sell the strawberries like he was suppose too? He felt tears fill his eyes as he saw the precious strawberries leave his sight. The farmer looked at the sky to see an overcast, at least Hobi was upset too. "Hobi we'll figure something out." Taehyung said softly before a cloth covered his eyes, blinding him from the world.

"Are you sure they're the same person?" The whispers that filled the room woke Taehyung up from his attempt at napping. He had been blindfolded forever, there were no clues where he was. The brunette assumed he was still in the carriage that had came to get him but there was a whole different feeling to it.

"I would recognize his face anywhere." The only sound in the room were the two voices whispering. "You just met him a week ago, he's in here for a reason he must be dangerous."
Taehyung furrowed his brows and rolled his head back, God his wrists hurt from the rope. Correction everything hurt. He had lost his farm and his freedom just because of stupid taxes. He prayed Hobi would be ok, and that the god was watching over him.

"We'll take him. This should be enough." The words made Taehyung's heart race. Oh god, it hit him like a train. The words the men said before he was taken away. Oh god he was being sold off, he may never see his farm again. Taehyung's heart continued to race as arms yanked him up. "Don't hurt him, poor thing already looks terrified." a soft voice said however whoever it was addressing didn't listen and Taehyung was jostled around as he got settled back onto the floor. He wished he could see, was it another carriage? Oh god his back was killing him he couldn't take another one.

The ride wasn't as long as he expected, certainly not as bumpy as the first one. However the hands were still as rough as before. "Jungkook, did you not hear me the first time?" The voice snapped and Taehyung raised a brow under the cloth. Who named their kid Jungkook? God city people were weird. Before he knew it he was placed down on something soft, his heart raced again. Oh god it was a bed, he wasn't ready for this. He had never thought about doing this until he was happily married. The brunette blinked owlishly as the cloth was taken from his eyes, the lights blinding him momentarily. "I told you he was the same person." Taehyung continued to blink before turning to see where the voice came from. Standing in front of him were two familiar looking boys, both could pass off as gods. Maybe they were hobi's friends. Oh god he hoped so.

"Where am I?" Taehyung asked, his voice cracking at the lack of water. Man he never knew had thirsty he actually was until a cup was lifted to his lips and he greedily drank it down. "You're in a safer place..." The silver haired man said and Taehyung blinked owlishly before hearing the other's soft giggle. "He doesn't remember us." The silver haired man said and pouted towards the taller boy.

"In all honesty your highness you were dressed completely different." The taller boy said and Taehyung looked between the two. They were both dressed better than Taehyung could ever dream to be dressed. He could see the silk that was finely woven into the cloth yet he also noticed how the silver haired man seemed to be wearing finer clothes.

"Who are you?" Taehyung asked and looked between the two. The pout he was getting from the shorter boy made his heart melt, he felt bad for not recognizing them. "I'm the guy who had the white horse. Jim and Jung." The silver haired boy said and Taehyung blinked owlishly before realization hit him. Oh god, were they still mad about him touching their horse.

"You don't need to panic, we're not going to hurt you. Instead you'll be working in the palace.. To make up for your debt." Jim stated and Taehyung tensed as the other walked around. He tried to watch what he was doing but realized it as soon as the tension around his wrists was released and he could move his hands around. Thank god, however the marks from the rope still remained on his wrist. "It beats being in a brothel," Jim added and a soft giggle left his lips. Oh man this guy was cute. "By the way I'm sorry for lying to you Tae, my real name isn't Jim. I'm Park Jimin." The silver haired man said and Taehyung's eyes grew wide. He was sitting on a bed in front of the only Prince. If only Hobi could see him now.

Chapter Text

Jimin soon left Taehyung with the other boy. Who Taehyung quickly learned was named Jungkook and was Jimin's main guard. "I can't believe this. Just because he's the Prince doesn't mean he can pick up anyone." Jungkook mumbled and Taehyung could feel the tension in the other's fingers as he rubbed the soap through Taehyung's hair. He didn't understand why the other was bathing him and Jungkook gave him no answers. "He's going to get himself killed one day I swear."

"Do you hate the Prince?" Taehyung asked and closed his eyes as the mildly warm water washed over his head. He could hear the other snort before the fingers were back in his hair. "He's just reckless and it makes my life harder. Jimin's a great person, I just question his sanity most of the times." Jungkook replied and the fingers soon relaxed.

Taehyung opened one eye, to avoid getting soap in both in case the other boy decided to dump more water on him. "I just can't believe he's making you his personal servant. What am I chopped liver?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung grunted slightly as a towel was wrapped around his head and soon ruffled his hair in an attempt to dry it. Soon Jungkook stopped and Taehyung heard the stool push back before the towel was removed from his hair.

"What does a personal servant do?" Taehyung asked and opened his eyes to turn to the other. He watched Jungkook's back as the other seemed to be preparing clothes. "They do what I'm doing right now basically except for the Prince." Jungkook explained and when he turned around Taehyung felt himself shrink. The other's gaze was too intense for the poor farmer to handle. "Have you talked to him? You'd probably be a better servant than me, I can hardly keep strawberries alive." Taehyung offered, God anything to get the other's gaze to soften. However his gaze only hardened.

"Do you seriously think I didn't try? He kept insisting that I'm too busy with training to be bothered with serving him." Jungkook said and Taehyung blinked owlishly as clothes were offered to him. The brunette looked around sheepishly before sinking under the water, the bath had been nice but now he felt uncomfortable around the other. "Get use to it, this is the last time you bathe along." Jungkook said before placing the clothes on the stool next to the bath. "When you get out I'll show you your daily routine." And with that the other was out of the large bathroom. Taehyung finally found time to look around the room, the marble that covered the room seemed blinding white and even the sinks were covered in gold. He sighed softly before pulling himself out of the bath, his sore muscles screaming at him to stay in the bath. The clothes he put on were nicer than anything he could imagine, the silk was probably the softest thing he ever felt. Besides Hobi's hugs, those were the best.
Taehyung soon stepped out of the bathroom before noticing Jungkook leaning against the wall. "It took you long enough, I was starting to think you drowned yourself." Jungkook said and Taehyung couldn't help but laugh. "It's not that bad here," Taehyung answered and continued to fold the towel in his hands. "I'll show you where you'll be staying, and where everything is." Jungkook stated and Taehyung nodded before following the other boy. As they walked he couldn't help but stare at the other, he wondered how Jungkook got in the palace. The boy looked young but he also looked like he had seen more than Taehyung in his life. "Is there something wrong?" Jungkook asked while turning to Taehyung who quickly looked away before shaking his head. "I couldn't help but wonder how old are you." Taehyung said and stopped when the other did.

"Classified." Jungkook stated before continuing down the hall. Taehyung sighed softly before following him and soon realized the amount of doors surrounding them. "This will be your room." Jungkook stated and pushed the door open. In the small room sat two beds, one already held another boy in it. "You'll be rooming with Seokjin, he's a chef for the palace." Jungkook stated and Taehyung stated with wide eyes as the other boy sat up. Damn everyone in this castle was attractive, this boy took the cake however he could probably be the prince himself.

"Ah I'm finally getting a roommate? After all these years I thought you forgot about me." The boy said before walking to the other two. "Jimin was being picky until now. This is Kim Taehyung. Taehyung this is Kim Seokjin." Jungkook said and Taehyung bowed slightly. "Ah even the same last name we could be brothers." Seokjin joked and threw an arm around Taehyung's shoulders "don't worry, working for the Prince isn't as bad as they say." Seokjin continued and Taehyung grinned brightly before nodding. "He seems like a nice-"

"I'll show you to the kitchen," Jungkook spoke up and both boys looked at him before Seokjin shook his head. "Nonsense, I'll show him around." The chef said.

Taehyung could conclude that following Seokjin around was a lot more exciting than following Jungkook around, and when he laid down the mattress was even softer than the one he had at home. "Normally the prince's servant wakes him up with breakfast, so I'll wake you up when I get up so we can start your day." Seokjin said and Taehyung smiled at the soft hands messing with his hair. Seokjin could truly pass off as his brother and Taehyung wouldn't mind that.

"How did you become a chef?" Taehyung asked as he laid on the bed. "I originally worked at the pub for a bit before meeting Namjoon. He's the head of staff here, and so he loved my cooking and offered the job." Seokjin explained and Taehyung smiled brightly. "You should go to sleep Tae, tomorrow will be a long day for you."
"Alright goodnight hyung."
"Goodnight Tae."

Seokjin wasn't lying when he said it would be early. Taehyung groaned as the other woke him up, stretching before sitting up slowly. His eyes widened before he scoffed, how did Seokjin manage to wake up looking like an angel still? "Breakfast is already cooking you have like twenty minutes to get ready." Seokjin explained and the younger boy nodded. Taehyung looked at the window and groaned, even Hoseok wasn't awake yet.

Twenty minutes had been more than enough time to get ready and get nervous. Taehyung stood by the counter in the kitchen, watching Seokjin cook. "When you greet him don't look him in the eye, keep your head bowed unless he says otherwise." Seokjin explained while cooking. Taehyung fixed his hair while sighing. There were so many rules, who knew there was more to serving the Prince than he had expected. Also trays were hard to carry, oh god he was so nervous now. What if he got lost? What if he dropped the tray ontop of the Prince? "Tae relax. He's not going to kill you." Jin spoke up and Taehyung sighed softly as a hand was put on his shoulder. "Jungkook might."

"That's not helping Namjoon." Seokjin hissed and Taehyung looked at the other boy in the room. The new servant took a deep breath before looking at the tray placed in front of him. "You know his room right?" Taehyung could only nod before lifting the tray.

Chapter Text

The walk seemed longer than normal and Taehyung's heart kept racing. Although seeing the sun in the sky calmed him down slightly, he prayed Hobi was watching out for him. His heart stopped slightly as he realized he needed to balance the tray in order to open the door. Carefully he got the door open and was met with pitch darkness, despite the sun being up. "Your highness? Breakfast is here." Taehyung called before putting the tray on the nightstand and moving to open the curtains Hobi's hard work needed to be appreciated.

"Mm it's so nice to hear that from someone that's not Jungkook." A muffled voice came from the mattress "say it again." Taehyung's brows furrowed before he looked at the other and nodded. "Whatever you like your highness." Taehyung stated and pulled the curtains aside to let some light in.

"God I look forward to that every morning." Jimin said before sitting up slowly. Taehyung turned to the other and blinked owlishly before flashing a quick smile. "You seem like you're in a good mood this morning." Taehyung added before walking to the tray of food. He tried his best to keep his hands busy, it was odd being next to the other boy. Taehyung only knew him as Jim really, not Prince Park Jimin. "I haven't had a personal servant in a while, plus it's nice to have such a pretty face wake you up." Jimin said and Taehyung blinked owlishly. He rubbed the back of his neck before placing the tray of food down in front of the Prince.

Ok so after food, was clothes right? Taehyung glanced around before spotting the dresser. He could do this, it wouldn't be too bad. "Do you know my schedule for today?" Taehyung heard Jimin speak up from behind him and he turned around before raising a brow. "You have breakfast and then... Horse riding lessons." Taehyung said after thinking for a moment. What was the day of the week? Horse riding was on.... "You were close but no, I have ball room dancing first." Taehyung blinked owlishly before turning to the dresser. Oh god he couldn't even do his job. "I'm sorry your majesty." Taehyung said and tried to look anywhere but the Prince.

"If you keep using that it'll use it's effect." Taehyung felt a hand around his chin before he looked up at Jimin. When did the Prince stand up? What was the other doing? Oh god was he going to get punished "it's your first day. I don't expect you to memorize the schedule until next week." Jimin spoke and his voice was softer than Taehyung expected. The brunette smiled gently before nodding "thank you, your highness." Taehyung said before bowing quickly. "I'll go get your clothes for dancing just enjoy your food."

"Do you want some? I have more than enough and you look like you don't eat enough." When Jimin spoke Taehyung couldn't help but laugh. The servant shook his head before turning to the dresser "don't worry just enjoy your breakfast your majesty." Taehyung said while picking through the clothes.

Chapter Text

"You didn't tell me I had to dress him as well." Taehyung complained before flopping onto the bed. He pouted before looking at Seokjin who was busy reading some book. The brunette whined even louder before rolling over "you would think he could dress himself." Taehyung whined and kept rolling over before Jin looked over at him. "That's the job of a personal servant Tae," Jin answered and Taehyung felt his cheeks heat up. "So I have to do that everyday? God I made a full of myself. I don't understand half the clothes he wore." The former farmer complained and ran a hand through his hair. All he wore was baggy clothes with no fancy lacings and buttons.

"Where did you come from? Do you not understand how to dress properly?" Jin asked and Taehyung flushed brightly before pouting. He looked away while pouting even more. "I was a farmer, I dressed properly for the farm." He defended before pulling the blanket over himself. "I'll give you a lesson on dressing after dinner then." Jin said before Taehyung saw the other stand up. "You still need to get the Prince for dinner, make sure he's washed up."

Taehyung couldn't help but drag his feet as he walked. God serving took a different amount of stamina compared to farming. "Your highness?" Taehyung asked before slowly opening the door. He looked around curiously before walking further in. "Your majesty?" He called and looked around. The former farmer blinked owlishly before moving to make the bed.

"Your already here?" The other's voice made Taehyung jump. He turned away from the bed to see the Prince standing in the door frame. There was a bathroom there? Since when. Taehyung looked at the other for longer than was probably allowed, he couldn't help but notice how the other only had a towel around his waist. Oh dear lord what a blessing. The servant looked down quickly before clearing his throat.

"I came to make sure you were ready for dinner." Taehyung said and busied himself with making the bed. "Well I'd ask you to help me get dressed but I'm not sure that's possible." Jimin said and Taehyung looked up to argue but was met with the towel dropping. His face turned darker than the strawberries he grew. Oh dear lord, this just keep getting to be too much. The servant looked away and cleared his throat, it wasn't anything against the Prince, he was definitely shaped well. God why him?

"I'll go wait outside." Taehyung said before heading towards the door. Once he got out he felt like he could finally breathe. He rested against the door outside and blinked his eyes, God he wasn't really complaining it's just. He couldn't start fancying the Prince, he was just a farmer not any royalty. "You're going to start a fire with all that thinking you're doing." Taehyung jumped once again and looked over at the Prince. Jimin moved around so quietly Taehyung could never tell where the other was. He bowed quickly before looking at what the Prince was wearing "I'll take you to the dinner hall." Taehyung said and started down the hall.

He was thankful for the silence that fell between the two, it didn't allow him a chance to embarrass himself again. "You were more talkative in the city. You can still talk to me like you did then." Jimin spoke up and Taehyung looked over at the other before chewing on his bottom lip. He rubbed the back of his neck before sighing. "I was really hoping I could've invited you over, I've been missing your strawberries."

Taehyung perked up slightly as the other mentioned the strawberries. "Thank you, my grandfather taught me how to grow them. He's the best at it." Taehyung said and grinned brightly. God he could talk about the art of strawberry farming for hours "although I wouldn't be as successful if Hobi didn't help me." Taehyung added and when the other laughed he furrowed his brows. "How old are you? Gods don't exist." Jimin stated and Taehyung felt his ears warm up in embarrassment. He sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair. Hobi was totally real, he had met the other. He'd prove it one day. "I'm twenty three." Taehyung said and paused when he noticed the other had stopped walking. "You're kidding." The Prince said and Taehyung blinked owlishly before shaking his head. "No wonder we get along so well! I'm twenty three as well." Jimin exclaimed and Taehyung smiled brightly as he looked at the other. "This is so much better than I expected."
Taehyung could agree with Jimin on that one.

Chapter Text

"Whoa you have more horses?" Taehyung asked. He hadn't expected to be joining Jimin to his horse riding today but a week can really bring two closer together. "My father breeds horses, that's how I got my white one." Jimin explained and Taehyung nearly jumped with joy seeing the familiar white horse.

"I've always wanted a horse to have on the farm." Taehyung said and followed the other through the stables. "You can have one. We've got way too many." Jimin offered and Taehyung swore he had met another angel. "Are you sure you're not a god? You're so kind." Taehyung said and watched as the other laughed. Aw his laugh was so cute, it made him younger than he normally put off.

"Do you know how to ride a horse?" Jimin asked and Taehyung shook his head before watching the other saddle up a horse. "Don't you think we should wait for your riding instructor?" Taehyung asked and looked around, he wouldn't want to cross the women again. She was scary as she already was he didn't want to make her scarier. "She's out today. So it's just us." Jimin stated and Taehyung furrowed his brows before taking the rope that Jimin offered to him. The servant looked up at the horse before reaching up to gently pet it's nose. He grinned widely before looking back at the Prince, "do you think it's ok if I ride with you?" Taehyung asked and blinked owlishly as Jimin snorted.

"It won't kill anyone. Plus I feel like you would be good at riding." Something about the way Jimin said that made Taehyung flustered. Maybe it was the compliment the other gave him, or maybe it was the look the Prince had on his face. "What horse will you be riding your highness?" Taehyung asked before turning back to the horse in front of him.

"This is sugar cube, the one I rode on before I met you." Jimin explained and Taehyung looked at the white horse with wide eyes. "She's my favorite horse, especially because I met you because of her."
Taehyung couldn't help but grin, the other was too kind. He looked over at Jimin and sighed. "Then you must like the tax collectors even more." He joked and watched as the other finished saddling up the horse.

Wow ok when Jimin lifted the saddle Taehyung could really see his defined arm muscles. Oh god he knew Jimin was well sculpted but oh god it never ceased to amaze him. The other looked so cuddly that Taehyung often forgot how strong he really was.

"Do you need help getting onto the horse?" Jimin's voice brought Taehyung from his thoughts. The servant blinked owlishly before looking up at the horse, oh god he was suppose to get on top of that? He smiled sheepishly before nodding "do you use a stool?" Taehyung asked as the other approached him. Jimin shrugged and looked around before looking st Taehyung. "Normally we do, but that's too much work. I'll just lift you up." Jimin said and Taehyung felt goosebumps on his skin as the Prince put his hands on Taehyung's waist. The other was too close, his breath tickled Taehyung's neck. "Are you sure you eat enough?"

Taehyung looked at the other before blinking owlishly. He was face to face with the upcoming leader of the kingdom and he was asking if Taehyung ate enough. "I eat what I need to." Taehyung said and gasped as the other picked him up easily. He looked down at the other before hooking his leg over the horse. Oh god feeling the other's strength sent his mind whirling. The brunette stared down at the silver haired man before giving a shaky smile "thank you, your highness." Taehyung said and watched as the other pulled himself up easily.

"I told you if you keep using that it'll be less meaningful." Jimin corrected and Taehyung watched as the other lead his horse forwards. "Then what should I call you?" Taehyung called after the other before encouraging his horse to follow the other. "Call me Jimin," the Prince called before looking over his shoulder. Taehyung's heart thudded against his rib cage. Calling the Prince by his name, that was too intimate... He didn't know the other that well. "Are you sure about that?" Taehyung asked while pulling his horse next to the other. He watched the other closely and couldn't stop his beating heart. The other looked truly amazing out in the sun like this, he was beautiful. "If I wasn't sure I wouldn't have told you Taehyung."

The servant watched Jimin before smiling widely. "Then your wish is my command Jimin." Taehyung joked and watched the other's smile grow.
"I like you Taehyung, you're not just my servant.. You're my friend now." Jimin stated and Taehyung watched as the other lead his horse away from him before following the young prince.

Adjusting to the palace life was easier than Taehyung had imagined. He even started to wake up before Seokjin some days. It was the few days Taehyung could see Yoongi. When Taehyung was a farmer he rose and settled with the Son he almost never saw the moon God. Yoongi wasn't as talkative as Hoseok although Taehyung didn't mind, he was never one for talking before the sun rose.

"You have it made here kid," Yoongi's voice was a bit darker than Hoseok's but it was always soothing. It almost lulled Taehyung to sleep everytime he talked to the other. The brunette turned to the black haired man who sat next to him on the balcony. "It's like a dream come true." Taehyung said and leaned back onto the cool stones of the balcony. He always admired Yoongi's handiwork, the Stars were one of Taehyung's favorite things to look at. "Not its not, I've seen your dreams and this is nothing like it," Yoongi replied and Taehyung wrinkled his nose.

"Hey one day I'll grow the worlds largest strawberry!" Taehyung whined and looked up at the stars. "How is that possible if you're here? You're just a servant now." Yoongi said and Taehyung paused. He blinked owlishly while thinking over the words the moon God had said to him.

"I'll get out as soon as I can pay off my debt," Taehyung said and looked over at the other before wrinkling his nose. "How are you and Hobi doing? I haven't seen him that much."

"He's worried, doesn't like that you're hardly outside anymore." Yoongi said and Taehyung shifted uncomfortably "look at you kid, you went from sun kissed to moon kissed." Yoongi added and Taehyung felt the other's cool hands against his skin. "Run away Tae, Hoseok and I can help you. Go back to your farm, I'll keep it darker so they can't look for you."

It was tempting but Taehyung didn't mind living here. The former farmer sighed gently before stretching out. "Give me some time Yoongi." Taehyung said and stretched out his back "I'll figure a way out. Just watch over my farm." Taehyung said and when he turned back go see the other the god was gone.

"Tae? Why are you out here?" The brunette jumped slightly before seeing the Prince. "Jimin?" Taehyung asked before sitting up. He watched the other carefully and felt his heart race. The other could pass as a god easily, the way his skin shone in the light gave him this beautiful, heavenly glow. The silk shirt that hung on his shoulders exposed his chest and Taehyung could see the outline of abs. Oh dear lord the other was beautiful. "I could ask you the same thing," Taehyung replied a bit later than he wanted to. It wasn't too weird to have a delayed response right? Oh god he hoped he wasn't being too obvious. "How long have you been out here?" Taehyung asked and shifted slightly as the other walked over and sat next to him, sitting where the moon god once sat.

"Not too long, although I heard you talking to someone..." Jimin said and Taehyung felt his heart stop. He pulled his knees to his chest hoping the other hadn't heard him about running away. "Who were you talking to?"

"You know how I said I know the sun god.." Taehyung started slowly before staring up at the stars "well the sun and the moon are perfect balances of each other. So for the sun god, there is a moon god. I know both of them.. His name is Yoongi. He's paler than the moon itself and his hair is darker than night but he's calming, he's warm in the oddest ways and he creates magic." Taehyung said softly while watching the stars twinkle above him.

"You really believe in this god thing huh?" Jimin asked and Taehyung turned to look at the other, surprised when he met the other's gaze. He held it breifly before looking away quickly. "I know they're real, Yoongi's touch is soothing after a long day under the sun, and Hoseok's touch is energizing. They're a perfect balance.." Taehyung said and rested his chin on his knees.

" I really need to get you away from Namjoon you're talking like him." Jimin joked and Taehyung smiled gently. He sighed before resting his forehead on his knees. "You should go back to sleep your highness. You have a busy day tomorrow." Taehyung aid before lifting his head. When he turned to the other they were closer than he remembered. "I couldn't sleep, I can't sleep on nights like these. I don't want to miss out on the beauty in front of me." Jimin's words, Jimin's stare, Jimin's proximity was driving Taehyung crazy. The servant cleared his throat before sighing softly. "We can come back another night, if you stare at it too long than it'll become meaningless." Taehyung said and grinned at the other. Jimin's smile rivaled Hoseok's, it was warm and bright, everything Taehyung could get lost in.

"I'll look forward to when we can spend time under the stars again." Jimin said and Taehyung watched as the other stood up "it'll just be our little secret." The Prince added while Taehyung stood up and brushed himself off. "Our special little secret," Taehyung replied and put a finger to his mouth before heading back inside. Something about the secret made his heart pound, was it really ok to share this moment with the heir to the throne. He paused as a hand wrapped around his wrist and turned him to bring him face to face with Jimin again. Before he knew it the other's lips were against his own, the hand that held his wrist now moving to his waist. The kiss was rushed, it was wild and it was over before Taehyung could gather his thoughts. "Promise to keep our dirty little secret?" Jimin whispered, his breath tickling Taehyung's ear and taking his breath away.

"I promise your majesty."

"Have you ever learned to ballroom dance?"
Taehyung looked away from the painting he was observing over to Jimin, who stood in the middle of the large ballroom. "You're asking a former farmer this," Taehyung replied before snorting. He had tagged along to Jimin's ballroom lesson however the Prince was intent on getting Taehyung to dance.

"I wasn't sure what background you had," Jimin replied and Taehyung sighed as he walked towards the other, away from the painting. "What if I told you I was a gypsy dancer," Taehyung joked with a taunting smile before walking past the Prince to another painting. "I'd believe you, surely being that attractive isn't god's work." Taehyung paused and looked at the other before glancing around. "Majesty please. Be more careful with your words," Taehyung said softly before wrinkling his nose. His cheeks were warm and he was blushing, damn it not again. Ever since that night under the stars Taehyung found himself blushing more and more around the Prince.

"You worry too much Tae Tae, no one is going to suspect us," Jimin said and Taehyung felt arms around his waist, he stiffened slightly before turning to the Prince. "They'll suspect something if they walk in and see this," Taehyung said and held the other's gaze. He blinked owlishly as he noticed Jimin's gaze wasn't on his eyes however.. "Let me teach you how to dance, you might need it for the ball tonight." Jimin said and Taehyung groaned slightly as the other dragged him out onto the dance floor.

Taehyung didn't really understand ballroom dancing. Why did math have to be involved? And why did it only go to three? "You're moving like your joints are rusted." Jimin spoke up, it didn't help that the other was so close that it was hard for Taehyung to focus. Everytime the other's breath tickled his skin sent goosebumps all over his body.

"I've never danced like this. I don't understand it." Taehyung whined and he looked at the other "shouldn't I be leading since I'm taller?" The brunette asked before laughing as the other playfully hit him. "You couldn't even lead a mouse to cheese with the way you're learning how to dance." Jimin said and Taehyung wrinkled his nose before pinching the other's cheeks playfully. "You're so mean Jiminie." Taehyung said and continued to laugh as the other grabbed his wrist In an attempt to pull his hand from his cheek. It was too much fun to tease the other and Taehyung lost track of where they were. Until he heard someone clear their throat.

"Sorry to interrupt whatever is going on, but your majesty is going to be late if he doesn't get ready to meet the royal guests." Jungkook's voice carried through the ballroom. Taehyung felt his face pale and he quickly distanced himself from the other, hoping the younger boy didn't grow suspicious of them. "Ah thank you Kookie, don't worry about me. I'll get there in time." Jimin said and Taehyung glanced between the two before sighing softly.

"Taehyung your help is also requested in the main hall. They need extra hands to prepare and clean." Jungkook stated and Taehyung nodded quickly. He started towards the door before being stopped by the Prince. "Taehyung is my servant, no one else can order him around." Jimin stated and Taehyung felt his heart stop at the glare he received from Jungkook. "This was a request from the king himself." Jungkook added before clearing his throat "Taehyung will be like any normal servant, I'll fill in his duties as your personal servant your highness."

Taehyung let a soft sigh out before nodding. "I can handle cleaning," he said softly and looked back at Jimin who seemed to want to argue over it more. "I don't like others ordering my servant around. If I see it happen tonight I'll make sure to end relations with that family." Jimin stated and Taehyung watched as the Prince pushed past the younger boy and left the ballroom. The brunette smiled softly at Jungkook before clearing his throat. "I'll get to clea-"
"I don't know what you are doing but you need to stop messing with the Prince." Jungkook said and Taehyung wanted to hide from the other's gaze "you're just a worthless farmer, Jimin is too important for you and deserves someone with something to their name."

Taehyung chewed on his lip before lowering his head. "I wasn't trying anything. I'm just doing my job." Taehyung said before heading towards the door. "I hope he sells you tonight." He heard the younger mutter as he passed him. The older boy paused before looking at Jungkook.

" sell me?" Taehyung asked and walked back to the other "what do you mean by that?" He watched the other snort, the younger seemed to have a talent at getting under Taehyung's skin. "Are you really that dumb? Balls are not just political, it's a way for the royal family to show off their servants like live stock. The more attractive servants they have the more money they can make tonight." Jungkook stated and Taehyung furrowed his brows. why would they show off their servants? Don't they normally want servants to be hidden. "If a guest is particularly interested in a servant than they can buy the servant for the night or buy them completely. I hope you get sold to some old duke, far from here."

Taehyung's blood ran cold. He shook his head, this wasn't fair. How could they just sell the servants body against their will? "Jimin would never." Taehyung said softly. "You don't know him as well as you think you do. You're a new servant, a low level servant. I've seen almost all of them be sold off for atleast one night maybe more." Jungkook's voice got harsher as he towered over the other "the only ones who can avoid it are the higher level servants and guards."

"So Seokjin and Namjoon?" Taehyung started softly and started to find it hard to breathe. It wasn't fair, he should've ran away when he could have. "They're safe.. I'd watch how you act for the rest of the night Kim Taehyung." Taehyung's mind was spinning, however he headed to the main hall but his mind wasn't in it. He couldn't focus yet he didn't blame the other. Jungkook was right, Taehyung didn't have a chance with Jimin. He shouldn't even be trying he was just a servant, Jimin was only being kind because he had to deal with Taehyung. The Prince could easily replace Taehyung in a heart beat. The brunette sighed before looking out the window, "Hobi, I miss when it was just us and strawberries." Taehyung said softly before continuing down the hall. God he would kill to be back at the farm where he could do anything he pleased without worrying about ruining other's lives.

Chapter Text

Taehyung swore he had never seen this much silk in his life. He fixed the ribbon on his neck, the new uniform for the ball was uncomfortable, the lace was scratchy and the pants were stiff. "You still don't know how to dress yourself?" Seokjin asked and Taehyung let the other fix the lopsided bow. The brunette watched the other carefully, the older boy was dressed in his normal uniform.. He wouldn't be seen during the ball so there was no reason for him to dress up.

"Jin.. Thank you for helping me, I'm glad I got to meet you." Taehyung said and he noticed the kther's hesitation. "Don't talk like that. I know it's scary but I have faith in Jimin, just do your best." Jin spoke up softly before pressing a soft kiss to Taehyung's forehead. "If you ever need an escape come to the kitchen. I'll cover you."
Taehyung was thankful to have Seokjin, the younger boy nodded before following the other out.

The main hall was the most chaotic he had ever seen since he had arrived. Taehyung had heard tales of how grand balls were but this was a whole new level. Thankfully before Taehyung could get nervous he was quickly put to work, seating royal families at different tables and offering up drinks. The ballroom had a completely different feel than when Taehyung was in it with Jimin, there were a lot more voices, a lot more bodies and a lot more excitement in the air. It was suffocating really. Only hours before the ball Taehyung had gotten the run down of the night. First there would be a meal and then there would be dancing followed by a speech by the king. The brunette was glad that he was one of the servers now, this gave him an excuse to be in the kitchen.

"How do you handle this many people?" Taehyung asked while balancing the trays as Seokjin placed food on them. "I've been preparing for over a week, you get use to it the more balls you see." The older boy answered before nodding at his handiwork "take this to the Royal family's table."

Taehyung felt his stomach twist. Oh god the nervousness finally hit him. If he messed up serving the royal family then Jimin would certainly sell him off. He glanced over at the long table at the front of the room where the family sat along with some other important people that Taehyung didn't recognize. He quietly and quickly made his way over, placing the food down and keeping his head down. However he could feel the gazes on him, oh god did he already make a mistake?

"Oh my Prince, is this a new servant of yours? I would remember a pretty face like his. I haven't seen him around. " a voice spoke up causing Taehyung to look up and make eye contact with Jimin. The brunette quickly looked back down before fixing the plates. "He is, why do you ask? I get new servants regularly." Jimin's voice wasn't as soft as Taehyung recalled, it seemed more threatening and unnerving. He paused and walked to the king's side, waiting for the man to confirm that everything was ok and to dismiss Taehyung.

"I'd love to have a servant as pretty as him. How much for one night?"

Taehyung's heart stopped, his grip on the tray tightened slightly as he kept his head down. "Let's not discuss that here," Jimin's voice sent chills down his spine. Taehyung looked up slightly before noticing the king dismissing him, he bowed quickly before scurrying off. Oh god he was going to get sold, Jungkook was right. Jimin wasn't who Taehyung thought.

"You look like you've seen a ghost kid," Namjoon's voice broke through Taehyung's worrying thoughts. The younger looked at the head of servants before letting a shaky breath out. "I'm not use to this many people." Taehyung said softly and ran a hand through his hair. Namjoon's hand was heavy on his shoulder and Taehyung couldn't find it in him to tell the other what he had heard. "Take a break. We can manage the rest of dinner. However I'll need you back before the dancing starts." Namjoon said and Taehyung could almost cry. He was glad the other understood him despite Taehyung not telling him the truth. "Thank you sir," Taehyung said before bowing quickly. The brunette soon found himself outside once again, the sun was setting yet Taehyung prayed Hoseok would still show up.

Chapter Text

"What are you doing out here?" Taehyung nearly leaped for joy as he heard the sun god's voice. He looked over to see the other dressed in his fine golden clothes and his signature sunny smile. "Hobi, oh thank god, I've missed you." Taehyung said softly before wrapping his arms around the other. Even though the sun was setting Hoseok was still warm, the other never slept as far as Taehyung was concerned. Well gods didn't need to sleep, Hoseok never got tired of doing what he loved. Although dancing sometimes wore him down and that's why rain would fall.

"I've missed you too, your strawberries are doing great but there's no one to harvest them." Hoseok said softly and Taehyung smiled gently as he felt the other's fingers running through his hair "I've been doing everything to not scorch them, I even allowed more rain than normal.."

"You're the best Hobi, thank you for watching over my farm." Taehyung said softly. Gods weren't tricky, they could never lie. They weren't like humans who deceived you.. Hoseok would never betray Taehyung. "God Hobi, he's going to sell my me to some old man for the night. My body is just a way to get money." Taehyung said softly and whatever tears started to form dried up, there was no crying when Hoseok was around. It was impossible.

"Tae it hurts me to see you like this. You're like a caged animal." Hoseok's voice was soft and it only reminded Taehyung of the mornings where the God would wake him up. "If he sells you, then they'll have two months of darkness where no crops can grow, except Your strawberries." Hoseok threatened and Taehyung laughed gently. He was so blessed to know the two gods, they helped him out more than he could imagine.

"Hobi how did I get myself into this mess? I miss my strawberries." Taehyung said softly and looked up at the other who smiled softly. However Taehyung noticed Hoseok wasn't looking at him but past him. "Sheesh, I couldn't stand your whining anymore," Yoongi's voice spoke up and Taehyung's eyes grew wide. It was rare to see the two gods at the same time, atleast for Taehyung... He normally fell asleep before Yoongi arrived. The brunette watched as the moon god approached them carefully before noticing what was in his hands. "I could only bring so many.. But i hope it gives you a taste of home."

Taehyung took the two strawberries carefully before grinning brightly. He took a large bite out of the bigger one before closing his eyes, God he was so blessed to know the two. "Just keep fighting Tae, if you feel like it's too much. Call us, we'll help you run away."

When Taehyung opened his eyes both gods were gone. He sighed softly before standing up. Oh god was that music he heard? Taehyung shoved the second strawberry in his pocket before rushing back in.

"You're lucky they just started." Namjoon said and Taehyung bowed quickly. "Sorry I lost track of time." Taehyung said quickly before grabbing the tray. He paused before reaching into his pocket and shoving the strawberry into Namjoon's hands. "Watch that for me." Taehyung said before heading into the ballroom.

"I was wondering where you ran off too. You're that pretty servant," the man said and Taehyung felt his heart racing now. The man standing in front of him was the same as the one at the table from earlier. "I was worried someone already bought you. Tell me what is your price for one night." When the other got closer Taehyung could smell the alcohol on his breath. The servant gave a shaky smile before glancing around. "I'm not sure sir, that's my majesty's decision." Taehyung said softly and his eyes grew wide as the man continued forwards before effectively trapping him against a wall. "Then I'll take it you're a free one, what are you worth?"

Taehyung's heart raced, the tray was the only thing keeping this man from getting any closer. "You'll have to ask the Prince.." Taehyung insisted and watched the man. "You're a loyal one aren't you. I bet you'd be nice in bed.. I'll pay whatever the price."

"He's not for sale." Taehyung's eyes quickly found Jimin, the Prince was quickly approaching the other two however the man was not budging. "Oh come on your highness. You know sharing is caring." Taehyung watched as the other got closer before pulling the man away. "Taehyung is mine and mine only. I will not share him with the likes of you." Jimin's voice was harsh, the glare that was on his face made the other seem more intimidating than anything. The fact that the other seemed perfectly calm was also another thing that made the Prince seem terrifying. "If you have any concerns, I'll gladly speak to you another day." Jimin added before Taehyung realized the other pulling him away from the man.

Before he knew it the cool air of the night hit him and Taehyung noticed Jimin had brought him outside. "Your highness," Taehyung started and paused as the other waved him off "you did not need to do that. I know what happens is business.."
"Are you hurt?" Jimin asked and Taehyung was taken aback by the softness of the other's voice. The servant looked down at himself before shaking his head "he was harmless." Taehyung said.

"Thank god, I didn't want to create a bigger scene than needed. I'm glad you're ok." Jimin said and Taehyung blinked owlishly at the soft hand on his cheek "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Just know, I'd never sell you Taehyung." The servant stared at Jimin before nodding. He looked back at the ground and cleared his throat. "We should get back inside." Taehyung said softly and looked back at the other. "Let me get you some water first, to make sure you're completely ok." Jimin said and Taehyung followed the other. "You don't have to. I can just go into-"
"There you are," Jungkook soon came into view of the other two "I heard there was some conflict going on. I came as fast as I could but you were gone." Taehyung glanced away quickly as the younger boy looked at both of them. "Don't tell me what I think happened is what happened your highness." Jungkook said and Taehyung could hear the tension in the other's voice. "You need to let Taehyung do his job."

"Don't tell me what I need to do. I warned you if I saw someone messing with him I wouldn't just sit on the sidelines." Jimin spoke up and Taehyung looked between the two. Their gazes were cold and if Taehyung had been on of them he was pretty sure he'd be dead by now. "Don't throw your future away for your new toy." Jungkook hissed before turning on a heel and leaving the two.

Taehyung sighed softly before shaking his head. "He's just jealous Tae, don't worry-"
"I really should get back to work. Thank you." Taehyung said before bowing quickly and hurrying back to the kitchen. The palace life was harder than Taehyung expected.

Chapter Text

"Did you need me your highness?" Taehyung asked while walking towards the other who seemed to be admiring the garden.

"I want to go to the town Tae." The Prince spoke up and turned to the servant. Taehyung looked at Jimin carefully before running a hand through his hair. "Go out then. Just make sure you don't replace me when you do." Taehyung joked before standing next to the other, he was close enough to hear the other snort. The lightest touch of hands lead to the interlacing of fingers.

"I want you to come with me. Jungkook is always too boring." Jimin said softly and Taehyung blinked owlishly. He looked around before raising a brow. This wasn't allowed right? The hand holding, the soft whispers, the.. Sneaking out together. "Please Tae. I'll even take you to your farm."

The brunette's interest perked at the mention of his farm. He shifted uncomfortably before sighing softly. "When will we leave?" He asked softly and smiled slightly at the other's smile. Dear lord Jimin's smile could outshine Hoseok's sometimes. Well at least to Taehyung, the other may argue against that.

"I'm suppose to have riding soon. We can take the horses and go visit the town." Jimin offered and Taehyung was taken by surprise as the other's arms wrapped around his body. The servant had no idea how to react and a soft sigh left his lips as the other let go. "You're the best Tae Tae. If we get caught I'll take the blame." Jimin said and Taehyung nodded before smiling gently.

"It'll be fun to visit the town again." Taehyung said and clapped his hands. He couldn't wait to see his farm, he hoped it was still in good shape. Of course it would be in good shape, Hoseok and Yoongi were looking after it. "I'm sure Seokjin would love to have some strawberries."

Taehyung looked at Jimin, noticing the other started to walk further into the garden before following him. "Good thing you know someone who has the best strawberries." Taehyung said and smiled brightly before sneaking his hand with the other's.

"Tae, I was thinking.." Jimin started and the brunette stopped next to the other. He looked at Jimin before grinning. "Don't think too hard," Taehyung joked and he straightened up slightly as the other placed a hand on his shoulder. "What if I bought your farm. so then you could always visit it."

It was tempting. Really, honestly tempting. Taehyung shifted carefully while thinking it over. "I'm the only one who can take care of those strawberries though." Taehyung stated and tilted his head slightly as the other laughed. "Of course you'll be in charge. Unless you don't mind Seokjin joining."

"Oh no! Jin is perfect! He'll understand the importance of the strawberries. We can even bring him some!" Taehyung offered excitedly as he thought about all the strawberries he needed to catch up on eating. It had been so long, he couldn't wait.

"That's a great idea Tae. It's been forever since we've had strawberries. And I can't forget the taste of yours."

Now Taehyung was about as pure as a saint. But the way Jimin said the last part made him feel a weird type of way. Maybe he was just proud his strawberries impressed the other. "I can't wait to try some more."

Chapter Text

"Are you sure this is safe? What if someone recognizes you?" Taehyung asked while leaning towards the other, their horses making it easier to travel through the busy town. "You didn't recognize me." Jimin replied with a soft smile however the other fixed his hair to cover his face yet again.

"Yes but I was an ignorant farmer. I'm well informed now and I would notice." Taehyung stated before watching the other get off his horse. He looked around quickly before grinning. God it felt so nice to be back out in the sun. "Come on," Jimin yelled at the other and Taehyung couldn't help but wrinkle his nose. He got down carefully, however his foot got stuck in the foot rest of the saddle, causing him to lose his balance.

"Easy now, I can't explain why you're all beat up." Taehyung looked up at the other and smiled sheepishly. "Thanks for catching me. I owe you." the servant said before letting out a shaky sigh. How did the other move so fast? Was Jimin even human? Y'know Tae wouldn't even be surprised if the other turned around and announced he was a god.

"I want to stop at this market first and then we can go see your farm." Jimin said and Taehyung nodded before following the other behind. "Wait so you knew the whole time where the market was and never told me?" Taehyung asked while walking next to the other. He wrinkled his nose as he heard the other laugh gently.

"If I told you then I would have spent less time with you." Jimin defended and Taehyung felt a blush creep up to his cheeks "you just didn't want to go back to the castle." Taehyung said, the objects on display catching his eyes. "It wouldn't be as fun without someone as cute as you." Jimin mused and Taehyung looked at the other before clearing his throat.

"You're too kind your hig-" Taehyung blinked owlishly as the other's hand covered his mouth. He looked at the silver haired man before raising a brow, questioning why the other decided to do that.

"Out here it's Jim remember." Jimin corrected and Taehyung nodded quickly, sighing softly as the other removed his hand. He looked around, easily amused by all of the objects he had never seen before. Before he knew it Jimin had moved on, atleast there was no need to panic since Taehyung could see the other out of the corner of his eyes. The brunette picked up a small glass before grinning at the red center. He lifted it to the sun before smiling even more as the word turned red around him.

"It's amazing what type of people they allow in here these days." A voice carried, Taehyung looked up curiously before noticing a small group gathering. He couldn't help but be curious and soon wondered on. "Rats shouldn't be allowed in the city. No wonder your mom left you. She was a slut anyways."

Taehyung furrowed his brows before noticing the young girl standing with what looked like a younger brother. He quietly moved closer before noticing the man who seemed to be berating them. "You better pay me what she was suppose to." The man said and Taehyung watched as the girl hid her brother behind her, taking the familiar protective stance. "I have no money. Please I'm just trying to feed my brother." She spoke so softly, Taehyung's heart tore at the pain in her voice. Poor thing.

"Yah, there you are," Taehyung had no clue what over came him as he stepped towards the young kids. The girl looked at him with confusion before stepping back carefully. "I've been looking all over the market for you. I was so worried mom would have my neck if I lost you." Taehyung said and paused as a sword was put between him and the kids. "Who the hell are you?" Taehyung looked up to come face to face with the man, God he was scarier than Taehyung had expected.

"I'm their older brother. I really need to get them home." Taehyung lied and looked at the kids before winking. He wanted to help and he was determined to get them away from this man. "Great. So then you can pay for them."

Taehyung furrowed his brows before moving the sword and stepping closer to the duo. He placed a hand on the girl's shoulder before wrinkling his nose. "I don't remember owing you anything."

"You don't but your whore of a mom does. Now pay up or we'll make you regret stepping in here." The man threatened while stepping towards Taehyung. The brunette made sure to put himself between the two kids and the man, he wouldn't back down no matter how scary the other seemed.

"I don't have any money." Taehyung said and watched as the other man moved closer. He shifted slightly to shield the kids behind him. Ok maybe he hadn't really thought this through.. Oh god he didn't want to die. Where was Hobi when he needed him? Taehyung blinked owlishly as the arrow thudded against the wall near him.

"I wouldn't touch a hair on his head if I were you." Jimin's voice spoke up and Taehyung swallowed thickly. Shit, he didn't want the other involved. He looked towards where the arrow came from to see the other, bow and arrow ready just in case. Oh god Taehyung felt embarrassed times one million.

"Another brother? Your mother really is-" the arrow that landed just infront of the man's face cut him off. "Finish your sentence, I dare you to." Jimin practically growled and Taehyung felt the goosebumps covering his skin.

"Come on Tae let's go." The brunette nodded quickly before grabbing the girl's wrist and tugging her along. He didn't let go until they were out of the market. Taehyung turned to look at them before smiling gently "you're not hurt right?" He asked before dusting the two off and ruffling their hair.

"No, thank you so much sir. I can tell my mom what you did and you can stay for dinner." The girl offered and Taehyung laughed gently before shaking his head. "Just stay safe ok?" Taehyung added before watching the girl lead her younger brother through the streets. He stretched out his back before turning to Jimin. Fuck.

He had never seen the other so angry. "Come here." Jimin said and Taehyung had no choice but to follow the other since Jimin's grip on his wrist was impossibly tight. Taehyung stared at the other as they stood in what seemed to be a forgotten street.

"What the hell was that? You could've gotten yourself killed!" Taehyung whined slightly at the other's tone. He was too calm and that's what made the scolding worse. "I couldn't help it." Taehyung said before rubbing the back of his neck "he was going to hurt them and I couldn't just watch."

"God I've never simultaneously loved and hated someone as much as I do now. You're an idiot." Jimin mumbled and Taehyung furrowed his brows. His confused soon disappeared as the other's lips were against his once again. The prince's lips were as soft as Taehyung remembered from the night on the balcony, God the kiss was breathtaking. No seriously, Taehyung felt light headed. He pulled away for air before looking at the other with wide eyes.

"I've never wanted an idiot more." Jimin mumbled and Taehyung shivered slightly before allowing himself to be pulled into another kiss. Kissing Jimin was addicting, oh god this would be bad. He was going to get addicted to something he couldn't have.

"What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, placing the book down onto his bed and sitting up slowly. He watched as the Prince shut the door to his room before approaching Taehyung, his normal attire wasn't on however he was in his night attire. "Did the tea I make not satisfying?" Taehyung asked and wrinkled his nose as the other laughed gently.

"I just wanted to see you. Since you already did your night duties I thought it would be weird if you came back to my room." Jimin answered with a soft giggle still on his lips. Taehyung watched the other closely as the Prince placed himself on the edge of Taehyung's bed.

"Don't you think it would be even more weird if they see you in my room?" Taehyung asked and furrowed his brows as the other flopped onto his back. "I just need help sleeping. Help me." Jimin whined and Taehyung laughed gently before playing with the other's hair.

"Do you want me to tell you a bed time story Jiminie?" Taehyung joked, however when the other sat up Taehyung couldn't help but shiver. He watched as the Prince moved closer to him, closing the space. "I just want you," Jimin whispered before moving the covers and laying down next to where Taehyung had been sleeping. The servant furrowed his brows before laying down.

"Don't you think your bed is better your highness?" Taehyung asked and looked at the finger placed on his lips. "Hush Tae, I don't want to explain to Seokjin that the reason he couldn't go to his room was because I was loving you." Jimin mumbled and Taehyung's whole body heated up at the soft words. "I just want to sleep today. Maybe another day we can spend the night under my covers." Jimin mused and Taehyung looked at the other carefully. What game was he playing?

"Just relax Tae, I'm too tired to explain." Jimin said and Taehyung gasped softly as the other pulled him down before quickly curling up. Taehyung looked at the tuff of silver hair placed under his chin before smiling softly. "Your heart is racing."

"I wonder why." Taehyung mused before playing with the other's hair. "Aren't you worried that people will find out? I mean this isn't exactly smiled upon." Taehyung said softly and chewed on his bottom lip. He could feel the other sigh softly before he saw Jimin's eyes. "You make me feel wild and free. I'd take that over any punishment for being caught." Jimin whispered and Taehyung smiled softly before placing a soft kiss to his forehead.

"Sweet dreams my prince."

Taehyung couldn't help the laugh that left his mouth. "Jiminie wait up," he whined, running as fast as he could but damn the other could move. "If I slow down then you'll catch me." Jimin replied and Taehyung watched as the other disappeared behind a corner in the garden. Man when did this garden become a maze?

When Taehyung finally turned the corner he was more than confused. Instead of Jimin like how he had expected, Hoseok stood there. "Hobi?" Taehyung asked and smiled brightly "are you going to play too?" He asked and looked at the god who seemed surprised. "Taehyung what are you doing out here?" Hoseok asked and Taehyung grinned brightly. "I was following Jimin but I lost him." The brunette said while rubbing the back of his neck. He watched as the god shifted from surprised to unsure.

"Do you really call the Prince by his first name? I don't think that's a good idea Tae," Hoseok said and Taehyung wrinkled his nose "whenever I call him majesty of highness he always responds weirdly." Taehyung said and shrugged. He looked around for the other before looking back at the sun god. "Tae, I heard you let the king buy off your farm..." Hoseok said and Taehyung noticed the disappointment hidden in the other's voice. "Yeah, why do you sound sad? Now we can have strawberries everyday!" Taehyung cheered excitedly.

"I don't think that was a good idea. Now you have no way to escape from the royal family." Hoseok said and Taehyung wrinkled his nose. "I don't want to escape." Taehyung said and tilted his head slightly "the royal family is kind to me."

"The Prince is kind to you. You haven't met the rest of them. They're all manipulative." Hoseok said softly and Taehyung watched the other carefully. "I promise you Jimin isn't bad. He's actually helped me plenty of times." Taehyung insisted before patting the other's shoulder gently.

"Just be safe Tae." Hoseok said softly and Taehyung nodded. "If I ever feel unsafe I'll call for you." Taehyung said softly before watching the god disappear. He sighed softly before continuing through the garden. Jimin wasn't bad, Jimin was kind and helpful. He wouldn't hurt Tae.. Right?

"There you are, did you really get lost?" Jimin's voice asked and Taehyung looked over at the other before smiling softly. "It was my trick to get you." Taehyung mused before launching himself onto the other and hugging the shorter man. "Ah you're so evil." Jimin's voice came out, muffled by Taehyung's shirt.

"Does this mean I won?" Taehyung asked while laughing softly. "Mm I guess this does what do you want for your prize?" Jimin asked and Taehyung looked at the other. He smiled softly as the other pressed a quick kiss to his lips. "There that was your prize."

"Hey but I didn't ask for that." Taehyung whined and pouted before digging his nails into the other's side and tickling the Prince playfully. The other's laugh rang through the air and made even the Angels jealous of its beauty. God Jimin was perfect in every way. "What did you want then?" Jimin asked and laughed gently before effectively getting Taehyung to stop. "I want to go to my farm again." Taehyung said softly and pouted at the look the Prince gave him.

"I'll have to check with my father," Jimin said uneasily before pulling Taehyung along through the garden.

Chapter Text

"You were here last week why do you act like I've kept you locked away?" Jimin asked as Taehyung gleefully ran through the fields of strawberries. Hobi was truly taking good care of them and Taehyung couldn't be happier. "Every week is a week my precious strawberries could die." Taehyung said before plucking some and popping them into his mouth. He walked towards the Prince before handing the other a strawberry.

"Do you really have to wear that? You look like a ninja." Taehyung mumbled before popping another strawberry into his mouth. The Prince was covered head to toe in light fabric, blocking out any of the sun and hiding his face. "It's too protect my skin." Jimin replied before lifting the vail that covered his face.
"Hobi won't hurt you, he knows the right amount of sunshine for a person." Taehyung stated before sitting on the ground "I mean look at me."

"You have a point, but my skin doesn't handle the sun as well as yours does. Fake God or not." Jimin said and Taehyung wrinkled his nose as the other still stood above him.

"Hoseok isn't fake," Taehyung whined before looking around "he's normally around here. He likes to be in the fields a lot." The brunette stated before springing back up. This was the first one Jimin had tagged along with Taehyung to the farm. Normally when Tae went it was with Seokjin and a small group of other servants. "Tae, really I don't see the point of this." Jimin spoke up however he was following the younger boy.

"I want you to meet Hobi, he's super nice." Taehyung said while wondering the fields. He turned around when he heard the other's laughter and raised a brow. "This feels like I'm going to meet your parents to ask for your hand in marriage." Jimin joked and Taehyung blushed slightly. He snorted before shaking his head. "Except you would believe my parents are real." The brunette said before turning back to look for the god. In a way Hoseok and Yoongi were like his parents, they helped raise him ever since his parents had died and his grandparents took care of him on the farm.

"Tae, darling I really don't think anyone is here." Jimin stated and Taehyung realized the other had caught up. "I think we should head out soon."

"Just a little longer, I know Hobi is here." Taehyung said while approaching the shed that he stored the farming equipment and the strawberries he had harvested. "Tae please-" Jimin's plead stopped as the younger boy opened the door. Taehyung's eyes grew wide at the sight, oh god he was going to be sick. The stench hit his nose and he realized the bodies in the shed. "Oh my god." Taehyung said softly and he felt a soft hand placed on his back. "What is this?" Taehyung asked softly and heard Jimin sigh.

"We've been investigating these criminals. They started to use your farm after they sold you." Jimin explained and Taehyung's knees felt weak. His precious farm had been turned into a slaughter house. "Come on we should leave.." Jimin said however Taehyung didn't budge.

"What else did they use?" Taehyung asked before looking down at the other. Jimin shifted uncomfortably before sighing. The younger boy wrinkled his nose before pulling away from the other. "Where my house? I need to make sure my pictures are ok." Taehyung said while heading towards that direction.

"Taehyung wait!" Jimin yelled towards the other but Taehyung didn't listen. He needed to make sure his memories were safe and preserved. However the closer he got, the stronger the smell of smoke got. "Taehyung please, wait up." Jimin's voice was closer yet Taehyung felt like he was all alone.

What stood before him was the burnt remains of his home. Taehyung felt his eyes water before falling to his knees. "No this can't be, my memories." Taehyung said before letting a loud scream out. He felt the tears running down his face as he stared at the ashes that covered the ground and his hands. Soon warm arms were wrapped around him, however they were Hoseok's. "The world is cruel Tae, but I'll protect you from it." Jimin's voice was soft and Taehyung couldn't help but cry even more. This was so painful, why didn't Hoseok or Yoongi stop them? Why did they let his house burn down?

Chapter Text

Taehyung's feet dragged slightly. God it was so late at night what did Jimin want now? He knocked on the other's door quietly "your highness is everything alright?" Taehyung asked softly before opening the door. Jimin's figure was outlined by the moon as the other sat by the window. "You know, no matter how long I stare at the moon I don't understand that there's a god behind it." Jimin said and Taehyung sighed softly.

"If you called me here to berate my friends then could I so kindly go back to sleep your highness?" Taehyung asked before running a hand through his hair. He watched as the other stood up carefully before turning to Taehyung. Jimin was truly breathtaking and the way the moonlight shone on him made him look just as godly.

"I know you're upset because of your farm," Jimin said softly before approaching Taehyung. The servant watched Jimin carefully before noticing the pot in his hands. "I hope this can make you feel better. It's like your own mini strawberry farm." Jimin said softly before placing the pot in Taehyung's hands. He stared at it for a while before smiling gently.

"Thank you. This really means a lot." Taehyung said softly while staring at the plant to be "I'll take the best care of it!" He added before looking back up at Jimin. The Prince wasn't in his normal sleeping attire, the silk robe that sat on his shoulders exposed more of his chest than any other article of clothing he normally wore. There was another reason behind Jimin's request and Taehyung could feel it. He hummed softly before placing the pot down. "Shouldn't you go to sleep my lord?" Taehyung asked and watched as Jimin visibly shivered.

"I couldn't sleep. I was hoping your moon god would help me but I assumed they only show up when you're around." Jimin said softly and Taehyung watched as the other headed back to his bed. "Come sleep with me Taehyung." Jimin said before sitting down on the edge of his bed. Taehyung shifted uncomfortably before walking towards the other.
"How could I help you sleep?" Taehyung asked softly while standing in front of the other. The moon light shining off of the other's perfect skin and perfect smile.

"I want to make love to you Taehyung." Jimin said softly and took Taehyung's hand in his own. "Knowing that I can please you will put my mind to rest."

"Whatever helps you sleep your majesty." Taehyung said softly and gave a soft smile. His past tiredness was now replaced with excitement and curiosity. He was really going to see a side of the Prince almost no one saw. That meant he was special to the other and the thought alone made his heart flutter. "What would you like me to call you by my prince?" Taehyung asked softly while playing with Jimin's hair. The other seemed so shy all of the sudden and honestly it was one of the cutest looks on the Prince. "Call me your king, princess" Jimin mumbled softly before pulling Taehyung closer to him.

Chapter Text

Taehyung's back was screaming as he rolled over. He furrowed his brows at the sun shining through the window. "What time is it?" Taehyung asked softly before noticing Jimin standing by the mirror. He whined and stretched out before sitting up slowly.

"You know you were suppose to get up two hours ago." Jimin replied and Taehyung's blood ran cold. He rubbed his back before standing up quickly and looking around. "Where's my uniform?" He asked and watched Jimin turn to him. The other was still dressed in his casual silk attire.

"You won't need them. Today is your day off." Jimin said before handing Taehyung a set of silk robes for himself. "I truly want to make you feel like a prince today. Since you've been through so much." Jimin said softly before kissing Taehyung's forehead. The servant looked at the clothes in shock before bowing quickly as a thanks. However that was probably the worse idea and his back made sure he knew. "Ah I didn't know it would hurt this much." Taehyung said softly while pulling the clothes on. He looked over at Jimin who only laughed softly. He wrinkled his nose "couldn't you have been a bit softer?"

"I'm sorry I got excited." Jimin mused before wrapping his arms around Taehyung and kissing the other again softly. Everything was so soft so gentle, Taehyung could get use to this. "What would you like to do today darling?" Jimin asked softly and Taehyung hummed gently. "Can we just stay in here?" Taehyung asked while resting his head on the prince's chest.

Before he knew it Jimin was settled comfortably between Taehyung's legs as the two sat by the window. "When I was little I almost never went out to the villages. My father was worried that I'd get hurt and since I'm the only heir." Jimin said softly while leaning into Taehyung's touch.

The younger boy hummed softly while playing with Jimin's hair. "And then you got Jungkook assigned to you?" He asked softly and watched as Jimin nodded slowly. "Yeah we were both only kids when he got assigned to me." The Prince explained before sighing softly "we practically grew up together but he had to grow up faster because of his training." Jimin said softly.

Taehyung blinked owlishly before nodding. "That's pretty rough... Do you ever wish you were never the Prince?" He asked curiously before placing his chin on Jimin's shoulder.

"All the time, I don't want to be king.." Jimin said and paused before looking at Taehyung "I'll have to get married to whoever my father picks.. Love doesn't matter." The thought of Jimin marrying someone else made Taehyung's heart twist.

"Maybe it's better if we forget about this then." Taehyung softly before letting go of the other. Jimin grabbed his arms before shaking his head. "No I want to keep this, I don't care who I have to marry. No one will ever make me feel the same way you do." The Prince said and Taehyung smiled softly as soft lips touched his own.

"I love you Jiminie" Taehyung said softly and watched the other pause before smiling.

"I love you too."

Chapter Text

"Is the Prince truly as wonderful as they say he is?" Seokjin asked once Taehyung was back in their room.

"Word gets around here doesn't it?" Taehyung asked while folding his night wear up and tucking it away. He flushed sheepishly as Seokjin nodded eagerly. The chef was known for enjoying gossip as much as much as the royals.

"He was sweet," Taehyung started before pausing and clearing his throat "he took care and made sure I didn't get hurt."

"Sounds boring," Jin stated before yawning. Taehyung flushed sheepishly before shaking his head. The night with Jimin was anything but boring.. It was magical.

"He was careful but he was also rough," Taehyung mumbled sheepishly and rubbed at his neck, fingers grazing the marks left behind.

"Oh my god did he mark you? Kim Taehyung you've got the Prince wrapped around your fingers!" Jin exclaimed with a light laugh which only made Taehyung blush more. That night was suppose to be a secret, not something every servant knew about.

"Don't worry, most people don't believe rumors said by servants.." Jin said before patting Taehyung's back "just don't admit to anything.."

Taehyung looked up at the other and nodded. He sighed softly before rolling his neck. "Do you know how to hide the marks? They're visible above my uniform." Taehyung asked and watched the older boy move closer before noticing how the other's face practically lit up.

"He really did claim you." Seokjin said before snickering "if only you were royalty. You two would make the cutest couple." The older boy said before heading to the bathroom.

Taehyung laughed gently before feeling his heart race. What he did was Jimin was equivalent to any crime. He has tainted the pure line of royalty that Jimin was part of. If anyone of important status found out they were both in huge trouble.

"We'll just bandage it and say you got hurt on the job." Jin explained while holding a bandage. After a couple minutes of standing still Taehyung's neck was effectively covered by bandages, the bite marks were now Taehyung's dirty little secret.

"I hope you're happy."

Jungkook's voice bounced off the walls of the small library. Taehyung looked up from the pile of books he was organizing to see the younger boy practically stalking towards him.

"Well, organizing books isn't my dream job but I'm not upset." Taehyung said and pursed his lips "what's got your panties all twisted?" The older boy asked before leaning back with a smug smile.

"You. You're just messing up everything" Jungkook replied sharply before tossing something at Taehyung. The brunette looked at the papers before wrinkling his nose.

"I didn't do this."

"Because of you, we might go to war." Jungkook stated and shook his head "Jimin just had to stand up to the one Royal member that holds grudges. That brat." Taehyung furrowed his brows and shook his head.

"Wait a minute I had nothing to do with this guy I don't know what you're talking about."Taehyung complained and stared at the newspaper. He couldn't see how any of this was his fault, all it talked about was bad hosting and even worse relations between kingdoms. He hasn't even been in the castle for as long as this feud was supposably going.

"They're blaming the bad relations but that guy that Jimin saved you from. He's pissed." Jungkook stated and Taehyung watched the other thread his fingers through his hair. "I told Jimin you'd be nothing but trouble. But he never listens." The worrying the other did made him seem even older than he actually was.

Taehyung pursed his lips before looking at the books "surely we won't go to war over this right?"

"You better hope not Kim Taehyung. You better hope not." Taehyung watched the other stalk out of the room before sighing softly. He should've never hesitated with that man, if Jimin hadn't stepped in then a war wouldn't be looming over their heads. The servant stood up, he needed to see Jimin. Surely there was a way he could help.

Chapter Text

Taehyung could get to Jimin's room blindfolded, it was part of his everyday routine. However he had been assigned to work in the library today for some odd reason. Maybe Jimin had heard about the incident and was mad at him too, God Taehyung hoped not. When he approached the prince's room the door was already opened slightly and two hushed voices could be heard. Taehyung inched closer before looking through the crack to see Jungkook and Jimin.

"I told you from day one he was bad news. I say you return him and get your money back." Jungkook whispered and Taehyung furrowed his brows. Yes return him to his farm. He missed it.

"He's too cute, I can't lose him." Taehyung watched as Jimin stood up from his spot on the bed and approached Jungkook.

"You're just looking for a quick fuck. You're so obvious Jimin." Taehyung's brows furrowed slightly before he leaned back. It shouldn't hurt, he wasn't suppose to have feelings for the Prince that only made things worse.

"Am I really that predictable? Ah you know me so well Kookie."

"Stop trying to change the topic. He's too oblivious to see what you want so drop him. He's only causing trouble." Taehyung felt his heart sink even more, what right did he have listening to them? It shouldn't hurt, he was just a farmer turned servant not anyone important. Atleast Jungkook had money to his name and a secure position.

"You're just jealous Kookie. Afraid of being replaced?" Jimin's voice was as smooth as honey and that made it hurt even more.

"I am jealous, I've known you longer than him. Make him a general servant and stop giving him extra attention. Someone's going to catch on." Jungkook whispered harshly and Taehyung could see the shift in both of their bodies.

"You're so cute when you're jealous..he means nothing to me compared to you."

Taehyung pushed himself away from the door. He saw things he wasn't suppose to see, Jimin.. And Jungkook... He would have never thought. No wonder the younger seemed to despise Taehyung.. But he was just doing his job right? The brunette ran a hand through his hair, why did it hurt so much? Jimin and Jungkook were on different levels compared to him.

Chapter Text

"You're actually outside for once. I miss your tan skin." Hoseok spoke up, the god appearing next to Taehyung in the garden. The brunette smiled softly before looking at his skin, he hadn't realized how much lighter it had gotten.

"Is it too late to accept your plan to run away?" Taehyung asked softly. He still hurt, he hated the universe for making him fall for a man who was out of his reach.

"It's never too late Tae Tae. Although it'll have to happen at night.. Why the sudden interest?" Hoseok asked. Taehyung watched the other as they walked, well mainly he watched how all the flowers seemed to be attracted to the god.

"I'm homesick," Taehyung lied and watched the flowers. The flowers relied on Hoseok, they needed the god and were desperate to feel him in any way they could. His throat tightened slightly.. Jimin didn't need him. The Prince could do fine on his own..

"It shouldn't hurt.. I'm tired of the palace I want to go home." Taehyung said and grabbed onto the god's sleeve. He felt so lost, so small and vulnerable. Taehyung was hurt when he wasn't allowed to be hurt. It was impossible for Jimin to love him. He was a prince and Taehyung was just a farmer.

"It's easier to get you out at night Tae.. But we can get you out no matter the time of day," Hoseok said and Taehyung felt his warm hand on his back. The god was so warm and comforting, he was Taehyung's home. He quickly fell into Hoseok's hold, embracing the warm hug the other provided.

"Why didn't you stop them?" Taehyung asked softly before looking up at Hoseok "they destroyed everything." He said softly and watched as the god shifted uncomfortably.

"If I had stopped them.. I would've had to kill the Prince." Hoseok explained before brushing Taehyung's hair out of his face "he's the one who started the fire in your home. It was his plan to keep you trapped in the castle."

Taehyung felt sick, he grabbed onto the god and felt the tears running down his cheeks. He had trusted Jimin with everything he had and the other was only using him.

"I'm sorry Taehyung, I would have stopped them if I didn't know how close you were to the Prince." Hoseok said softly while rubbing Taehyung's back. No matter how close he was to the sun god he felt cold. The world was cruel, that day they went together Jimin lied straight to Taehyung's face. There were no robbers, no criminals... Just a greedy Prince who ruined everything Taehyung owned.

Including his heart.

It hurt too much. He never felt more betrayed. Taehyung pushed himself away from Hoseok, tears not once stopping. "I want to go home." He said before wiping the tears away "I can steal a horse and meet you by the gates." The servant said before intertwining his fingers with Hoseok's. He could always trust the sun god. Hoseok and Yoongi were always there for him and would protect them.

"Be safe Taehyung." Hoseok said before splitting from the other. Taehyung moved through the garden carefully, it would be easy to get a horse. The amount of times he had fetched one for Jimin allowed Taehyung to become familiar with the stable boy. Taking a horse wasn't the difficult part, making his way to the gates were.

"Where are you going princess?" An unfamiliar voice asked and Taehyung stiffened. When he turned around the person who stood before him did not belong in the palace.

"I was bringing the Prince his horse," Taehyung lied while petting the mane softly.

"No you're not." The man said before the world went black. A bag covered Taehyung's head and soon his hands were bound. His heart raced as flashbacks to when he was first sold off to the royalty. He felt sick and felt like crying.

He was never going to see his home again.

Chapter Text

Cold, he was cold. Taehyung's back was killing him and his head was throbbing. The room was dark, the floor he laid on was hard and cold. He sat up slowly with a groan before blinking to adjust to the darkness of the room.

"Where am I?" Taehyung asked softly and rubbed the back of his head. As his eyes adjusted and soon he noticed the torches decorating the walls. He stood up slowly before rubbing his temples, oh god his head hurt. What had happened?

Taehyung stiffened as he noticed the bars that held him captive in the room. He walked closer before pressing his face to the metal, hoping to get a better view of the world outside of his cell. All he could see were the torches on the wall, and the dimly lit walkway that lead to his cell.

Taehyung quickly moved away from the bars as he heard footsteps approaching his cell. He looked up as the figure stopped in front of his cell before sighing gently.

"Taehyung is that really you?" Jin's soft voice filled the room and Taehyung felt his spirits rise.

"Jinnie!" Taehyung exclaimed and quickly moved to the bars to get a better look at the older boy. He reached out to make sure the other was real "what are you doing here?" Taehyung asked softly. He watched as Jin sighed softly before the older boy knelt down.

"The royal family sold me, hoping to make peace with this kingdom," Jin explained and Taehyung noticed the plate in the other's hand. His stomach growled loudly and Taehyung realized how hungry he was. "If only they knew you were here, Jimin has been looking everywhere for you." Jin explained and slid the plate towards Taehyung.

"What's going on?" Taehyung asked and looked at the food. Why would Jin be sold? He was the chef of the palace.. That didn't make any sense. The younger boy moaned softly as the food touched his tongue. Oh god he had been starving.

"We've gone to war tae," Jin explained softly and shifted to sit across from the other. Taehyung watched the other closely before pushing his food around. War? He hadn't expected the kingdoms to actually go to war.

"What happened?" Taehyung asked softly while staring at the food. He felt sick, why war? Why was he trapped here when his home was in trouble.

"It's a long story, one that was bubbling before you were even born.." Jin explained before standing up slowly "I can't believe you're here though. I should tell Namjoon next time I see him.. They had started to search for you but gave up as the war continued."

"How long have I been here?" Taehyung asked while standing up as well. He didn't want Jin to leave, it was too cold without the other around.

"I don't know, I've only been here for a week.. You've been missing for a month." Jin explained and reached through the bars before brushing Taehyung's hair out of his face. It was so nice to have a familiar face and Jin's warm touch. He didn't want to lose it.

"I'll tell Namjoon to come get you as soon as possible, I'll keep you safe Tae.." Jin said softly and Taehyung couldn't help but reach out and grab his hand.

"Is Jimin safe?" Taehyung asked softly and watched as Jin shifted uncomfortably.

"You should worry about yourself more..."

Chapter Text

Taehyung was lucky if Jin stopped by once a week. The food was a blessing but it was still bland. He missed Hoseok and Yoongi, he missed his strawberries, he missed... Jimin. God he still couldn't get over the other's soft smile no matter how much he had hurt him.

"Are you sure he's down here Jin?" An unfamiliar voice asked. Taehyung tensed slightly before scooting away from the bars. He moved further into the shadows, unaware of who was coming down the hall. He didn't trust strangers, whenever someone came that wasn't Jin he got hurt.

The people were cruel, Taehyung's hand ran over the soft, bruised skin as he remembered the beatings he got randomly. They were foreign to him, never understood the words they said.

"Jin I don't see how anyone could live down here," the voices were getting closer yet Taehyung relaxed as he heard his older friend speak up.

"He's barely living, it's awful Joonie," Jin's voice rang through the hall before two figures stopped in front of his cell.

"Oh my god."

Taehyung recognized the voice. He looked closely before realizing Namjoon stood in front of him. The other's uniform glimmering slightly in the dim light the torch provided for him.

"Taehyung, what happened to you?" Namjoon asked and Taehyung scooted back as the other knelt by his cell. who knows why he was here. There was no way Namjoon has also been sold. That didn't make sense.

"I told you they're cruel Joonie. You need to get Tae out before the war gets worse I can only do so much." Jin said softly and Taehyung glanced up at the taller boy. He looked between the two before moving closer cautiously.

"What's it like outside?" Taehyung asked softly, his voice cracking because of the lack of water. He watched as Namjoon carefully pulled a flask from his belt before offering it to Taehyung. He wasn't sure if it was because he was so thirsty or that he trust Namjoon but he quickly drank the liquid offered to him.

"It's been Cloudy, the sun hasn't shone in months." Namjoon explained and Taehyung frowned before looking at the floor.

"Hobi is upset.. He normally doesn't get that sad, are they doing ok? Is Yoongi looking after him?" Taehyung asked and all Namjoon did was laugh softly.

"Your gods are safe, their shrines are being protected.." Namjoon explained and sighed softly "I've been trying to get Jimin to work with them but he refuses to believe their real."

"You can see then too?" Taehyung asked and watched as the two older boys nodded.

"We always were able to ever since you arrived.." Jin explained and kneeled next to Namjoon. Both boys staring at Taehyung with such compassion and sorrow. Both boys looked older than they were and looked like they hadn't slept in forever.

"Did Jimin sell you too?" Taehyung asked softly while staring at Namjoon who shook his head.

"This is a secret, we snuck in the castle to get back prisoners of war," Namjoon explained quietly before wrapping his arm around Jin's shoulder "this genius here has been our way inside the whole time. He's been feeding us information." Namjoon added while Seokjin laughed softly.

"It was your plan," Seokjin explained softly and Taehyung watched as the other leaned comfortably into Namjoon. He had always known the two had more than just a servant to servant relationship yet it was weird to see in the dimly lit dungeon.

"I didn't plan for you to volunteer to do it, you're so brave Jinnie," Namjoon said and Taehyung couldn't help but smile softly. It was cute to see that love was able to blossom even during times of war.

"Hyung," another voice called out, bouncing through the walls of the hallway. Both boys stood up before a third figure entered. "We have to go, we've found everyone."

"We need to get Taehyung too, Jungkook." Namjoon explained and Taehyung noticed the younger boy's face in the lighting. He noticed the familiar scrawl and glare that Jungkook always have him.

"He's not important, let's leave now." Jungkook stated before turning on a heel and leaving.

"But Jimin wants him-"

"What Jimin wants and what Jimin needs is different. And Jimin doesn't need dead weight on him right now." Jungkook answered sharply.

Taehyung watched as the two boys glanced at each other before Namjoon followed Jungkook out.

"I'll keep you safe Taehyung, I promise." Jin said softly before following the rest out.

Chapter Text

The footsteps were heavy, and Taehyung's heart raced. He pressed himself to the wall. Jin hadn't visited in weeks, he prayed it was the older but to his dismay it wasn't.

"No need to be afraid," the man cooed at Taehyung with a sickening smile. He hated when the other visited, he was cruel, he was sick and Taehyung hated everything about him.

"You might get to go home today princess," the pet name that rolls off the other's tongue makes Taehyung sick. Unlike the way Jimin use to say it with adoration this man was using it to mock him.

"Don't you miss your Prince Charming? Don't worry, when you see him he'll be a mighty King. Isn't that even better for a whore like you?" The man asked and Taehyung could only bring his knees go his chest. He didn't want the other to open the door, he wanted the bars to keep them separated however where he was, things never went how he wanted them to.

As the man entered his cell Taehyung pressed himself to the wall, trying to distance himself from the other. His eyes noticed the familiar rope and blindfold, chills running through his body. He couldn't take this again, he hated how he couldn't fight back.

Before he knew it he was yanked up to his feet by his hair, a small whimper leaving his lips. He was in no position to fight back. If he did it just made things worse.

"Your precious king probably forgot all about you princess, Isn't that heart breaking.." The man mused in Taehyung's ear and the shorter felt sick to his stomach. Jimin probably did forget, he didn't need Taehyung so why would he remember the other.

"No just be a good boy and do what I say." The man said however what happened next wasn't what Taehyung expected. He expected to be thrown to the ground, and to take whatever was given to him beating or worse. However the exact opposite happened, he was lead out of the cell and down the halls.

Taehyung's heart raced as he saw the familiar sun trickling through the windows. "Hobi.. It's been so long." He said softly before his sight was blocked off by the blindfold.

"If you talk again then you'll never make it to the castle." The man threatened and Taehyung nodded quickly. He could feel the soft breeze of the outside world as he was lead by the man. His heart pounding with excitement as he could tell he was finally outside. After months of being locked away he could finally feel Hoseok's touch again.

"I expect you to behave. If you act up then this will be the last moment you have in your life..."

Taehyung didn't want to die. He had so much to live for. The dungeon had already felt like death itself but he really didn't want to die. He wanted to see Hoseok and Yoongi again, he missed the two gods dearly and he hoped they were ok. If only he had never met Jimin, or if only he had ran away when the gods had warned him too.

Gods were never wrong.

The hands around his wrists were rough however not as rough as the ground against his knees. Darkness still crowded his sight, the blindfold never shifting one centimeter to allow light. "This can't be..." A voice spoke up. Taehyung wondered where he was. His body aches and he had half a heart to worry about where he was. "Why did you take him?"

Taehyung could recognize the voice, it was faint but it was there. God his body still ached and it was harder for him to focus as hands tugged on his highlighted hair. "People pay fair price for beauties like him." Everytime the man spoke Taehyung shivered. How long had he been kept locked up? Surely not more than a couple of days.

"Are you using him against me?" Before Taehyung knew it the blindfold was removed, brown eyes blinking rapidly as he got use to the sudden intrusion of light. "Oh it really is you Taehyung." His eyes finally focused on the blonde man infront of him. Taehyung tried to give a soft smile, his lips still swollen from the last beating. "I've been looking everywhere for you." Jimin's touch was soft, soothing to his heated skin. Taehyung couldn't help but nuzzle into it. God the other was so welcoming, so warm, so Jimin.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get you sooner. It's been crazy." Taehyung watched Jimin's face before sighing softly. The other looked exhausted as if sleep had been avoiding him everyday. "Enough chatting. I'll let you pass on touching him since your royalty but if you want him back you'll surrender and end war." The man said and Taehyung's eyes grew wide as he felt the cool tip of a sword against his skin. He was just a pawn, an object used to make Jimin cave to their wishes. He wasn't Taehyung, he was just that servant Jimin had a fling with. "If you don't end the war than he's useless." Taehyung looked at the sword nervously before back at Jimin.

"Look your highness in the eyes, show him the pain he caused you." Taehyung couldn't. Even though Jimin had brought him pain, the other also had always been welcoming and energetic.

"Jimin," Taehyung started, his voice cracking at the sudden usage "please don't do anything stupid."

"Who said you could talk?" The man asked and the harsh sound of the slap rang in the hall. Taehyung let a soft whimper out before lowering his head. This was his destiny to be treated as property. He was just a poor farmer that danced with the wrong devil. "Park Jimin, make your choice. Your lover or your kingdom-"

"He means nothing to me. Do whatever you please." Taehyung couldn't tell what hurt more, the other's words or the sword that pierced skin just seconds after. The brunette looked down at his shirt, blood blossoming through the stained shirt, God life was really unfair. He looked back at Jimin, noticing the horror on the other's face.

"Taehyung!" The voice that yelled wasn't Jimin's. Before Taehyung knew it, warm arms were cradling him into an equally warmer chest. "You didn't deserve this." Taehyung looked up to see Hoseok and Yoongi. Both god's in their full form, God, it hurt to see their faces so upset.

"Gods really do exist?" Taehyung couldn't help but laugh at Jimin's question. The memories of their arguments over the gods caused him to laugh however his laughter soon turned into coughing, blood staining the sun god's clothes. "Taehyung, I'm-"

"Stay away from him." Hoseok's voice carried as Yoongi moved to block the Prince from Taehyung. "You can't touch him. You never cared for him." Yoongi accused the other and Taehyung frowned as the Prince looked near to tears.

"I didn't mean for this to happen."

"You didn't care, he was just disposable for you. He's dying on your hands and I'm going to kill all of you." Hearing the gods speak at once was never something Taehyung liked to hear. Eclipses were scary. When Yoongi and Hoseok seemed to become one.

"Please don't," Taehyung said softly and cuffed Hoseok's cheeks in his hands gently. "I don't like seeing you guys like that."

"Taehyung don't give me that bullshit. You're dying. This wasn't the plan." Yoongi's voice was livid for the moon god. Taehyung felt cold, despite being in Hoseok's arms. The other's normally shining smile never once appeared.

Taehyung had only seen the gods cry twice. Once when his grandmother died, and now. Hoseok's tears never fell unless true sadness overcame the god, the droplets warm and golden against red stained skin.

A silence had passed between the two gods. The room becoming eerie. "Oh my god." Jimin said softly before stepping back "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-"

"I'm sick of hearing your excuses. You could've saved him. He's dead because of you." Both gods spoke, Hoseok never once attempting to leave the boy in his arms and Yoongi wouldn't make him. They both understood the connection towards the young farmer.

"You're the gods he stupidly believed in. If you were really as mighty as he said you could've saved him too." Jimin argued and both sets of eyes on him were scorching. It was a bad mistake to argue with the two however Jimin felt like he was being unfairly judged. He wasn't the only reason why Taehyung was dead . "We control the seasons and days, we can't heal people." Yoongi stated before placing Taehyung's head on his lap "I know I said I liked you better when you were quiet, however, I was wrong. I'd rather you be loud and alive than this quiet."

Chapter Text

Taehyung looked peaceful on the bed, yet it hurt to know that his boxy smile would never return, his bright laugh would never ring through the halls, and his caring heart would never beat. Jimin sighed softly as he fixed the other's hair. He must've been outside more, blonde streaks were extremely promenade through the brown hair.

The Prince never left Taehyung's side after the gods left. He couldn't stop the guilt that over came him. "You always loved me, I should have seen it." Jimin said softly while running his hand over the now cold skin.

God it was chilling to see Taehyung like this. "I'm so sorry. If I had a chance I'd give you all the love you deserve." The Prince continued before taking Taehyung's hand. Goosebumps covered his skin as the normally warm hands were frozen to the touch with no pulse. Taehyung was really dead.. "Please forgive me. I'm so sorry. I'll find whoever kidnapped you and kill them all. I'll win this war for you Taehyung." Jimin spoke softly, he would do anything to get the energetic boy back. He sighed softly before resting his head on the other's chest, missing the heart that had always thudded against soft skin.

Jimin blinked owlishly and pressed his head closer. He was just imagining it right? The Prince lifted his head, he swore he felt the soft stream of air coming from Taehyung. "Tae?" The Prince asked softly and felt his eyes water slightly as hope over came him. No this was impossible, people didn't just come back to life.

The room seemed to get lighter and Jimin desperately grabbed at the other's hand. The skin was now warm to the touch and Jimin's heart raced. This wasn't possible.

The tears started to flow down his cheeks as he heard the familiar voice. Jimin looked up to see Taehyung staring at him, his brown eyes lively and warm.

"This can't be real." Jimin said softly while gripping onto Taehyung's hands "this doesn't happen in real life."

Jimin saw it happen in front of his own eyes. Taehyung was back to life, however his dark brown hair was a golden blonde and the torn, stained clothes were replaced with silk and gold.

"What happened?" Taehyung asked softly before sitting up. Jimin was quick to push him back down. He had no idea what just happened but he wanted to make sure he wasn't imagining things.

"You're real.." Jimin said softly before tearing up again "I'm so sorry." The Prince said softly before pulling Taehyung into a soft kiss. He wanted to make up for all the pain he had caused the other. When he broke away Taehyung was practically glowing, the other was truly breath taking and Jimin hated that it took him forever to realize it.

Chapter Text

"You were a god all this time." Yoongi stated while sitting on the side of the bed, watching Taehyung pace the room.

It didn't make sense. Taehyung never felt like a god, he was just a farmer trying to get by in life.

"No wonder you could see us from day one," Hoseok spoke up and Taehyung turned to the two gods. The golden hair falling into his eyes and crown tilting slightly.

"This doesn't make sense. Both my parents were human." Taehyung said before walking to the two gods. He was hyper aware of everything, The way he moved, the way the clothes brushed against his skin he could feel it all.

"Maybe there was something that happened along the way." Hoseok said and Taehyung looked between the two before staring at Yoongi who only sighed.

"Well the next step is to figure out what God you are," Yoongi said before standing up and In his hands formed a quill. "The mark this quill forms on your skin will tell us."

Taehyung watched closely as the quill lifted from yoongi's hand. He shifted slightly as the quill lined up with his chest, sliding the robe to expose the skin underneath. The black ink was a strong comparison to tan skin as the quill started to write, Taehyung's heart racing underneath. When the quill finished only one word stood out on his skin: love.

"Kim Taehyung, the god of love," Hoseok exclaimed before laughing loudly "I never pinned you as an Aphrodite."

"A who?" Taehyung asked while sliding the robe back to hide the new mark.

"Don't worry you'll meet all the gods soon," Yoongi explained before ruffling Taehyung's hair "I knew I liked you for some reason kid."

Taehyung couldn't help but smile brightly. It was so nice to see the two gods again, he had missed them more than anything. The two had practically raised him and now, he could be with them forever.

"Hello? Is everything ok?" Jimin's soft voice asked on the other side of the door. The newly turned King had stepped out to let the gods discuss what they needed to. There was still tension between The four... Hoseok and Yoongi still blamed Jimin for Taehyung's death. Even if the younger didn't technically die.

"I don't like him, he messed with our Taehyung and that put him on my bad list," Hoseok stated before wrapping his arms around the new God. Taehyung laughed gently before ruffling Hoseok's hair.

"I'm really lucky to have you Hobi," Taehyung said softly before sighing "but being the god of love I can't afford to hate people."

Slowly pulling himself away from Hoseok Taehyung moved to open the door. He stared at the shorter male that stood in front of it before smiling gently.

"It's been a while your majesty." Taehyung said softly and watched as tears rolled down Jimin's cheeks. The king quickly falling to his knees and gripping onto Taehyung's robe.

"I never believed in gods, or miracles. My father told me think idiots believed in them," Jimin explained through his tears. Taehyung sighed softly before kneeling down and lifting the other's chin gently. He reached out to wipe Jimin's tears.

"Do you believe now?" Taehyung asked softly and watched as the tears evaporated at his touch.

"I wish it didn't take you dying to make me believe," Jimin said softly before taking Taehyung's hand in his. "I'm an awful human being Taehyung, I used you because I thought you were an easy target. I'm so sorry, I really loved you but I was afraid of what would happen if someone found out."

Taehyung listened carefully before sighing softly. He stood up slowly before pulling Jimin to his feet. "The good thing is that you admitted your wrong doings," he started before glancing at Hoseok and Yoongi who both watched carefully. Taehyung had a legacy to live up to now, he was the new God of love..

"Now you know Jiminie, love conquers all."

Chapter Text

What do we do now?"

Taehyung looked up from his spot on the grass before humming softly.

"You have a secret weapon now.." Taehyung said while lifting the rose from the floor before humming. He looked at the king who sat across from him before smiling softly.

"You're the god of love.. Not war," Jimin stated and furrowed his brows. The two sat side to side in the garden, trying to catch up on everything. Their mini escape from the world.

"All is fair in love and war Jiminie," Taehyung said before stretching out his back. It was odd to be back, it was odd to enjoy the sun's rays after months of being trapped away.

"Is what you said true?" Taehyung asked suddenly after comfortable minutes of silent "back before I died... Did I mean nothing to you?"

Jimin visibly froze before sighing. "You meant the world to me Tae, I didn't handle the situation the way I should have. I had only been King for a day and yet here my secret lover was..." Jimin sighed softly before reaching for Taehyung's hand "I wasn't thinking straight. I wasn't ready to be king but yet there I was.. I had no one to guide me there... And now I'm just as lost.."

"What about Namjoon?" Taehyung asked softly before interlacing his fingers with Jimin's. It was hard to hate the older boy, Taehyung had always imagined being royalty was tough.

"Namjoon is the adviser of staff.. He can't guide me the way I need it.."

"Namjoon is a smart man Jiminie. I think he'll help you out." Taehyung said softly while running his thumb over the other's skin. The soft hands were now hardened with war, scars marking up the once perfect skin.

"He wouldn't have understood my situation.." Jimin started before sighing softly "I was trapped between my people and my love.."

"And you chose the people.."

"The needs of the many outweigh the wants of one.." Jimin said softly before cupping Taehyung's cheek "I really did love you, I still do."

"Namjoon will understand. He loves Seokjin, yet they can't be together because of the war. He can guide you, Namjoon is wise," Taehyung offered up once again and hummed softly before plucking a strawberry and offering it to the other.

"You're not doing this alone Jiminie, we're all on your side.."

When Jimin laughed it was bitter, not the joyful one Taehyung had loved.. A mocking laugh that didn't quite fit the other.

"Hoseok and Yoongi hate me.."

"They don't hate you.. I bet they understand what you went through.." Taehyung said carefully before plopping a strawberry into his own mouth "if you come clean to them like you are right now they'll forgive you."

"It's not that easy, what do I tell them?" Jimin asked and Taehyung hummed softly before shifting so the other could rest his head on his shoulder.

"Well they'll probably question you. It'll be baby steps.. Question by question.." Taehyung said before looking at the other before smiling softly "like you're asking my parents for my hand in marriage.."

The smile that graced Jimin's face never failed to make Taehyung's heart skip a beat.

"We should practice some questions then.. So I can be prepared.. What do gods ask?" Jimin asked and Taehyung stated at the other before wetting his lips.

"What about you and Jungkook?"

Jimin sat up quickly before staring at Taehyung.

"What about us?"

"If you loved me.. Why were you with Jungkook behind my back?" Taehyung asked, he could feel the tension yet his body was relaxed. He could read the other even better now, the knowledge of love had grown in him.

"It was a cover up.."

"It didn't seem fake." Taehyung said bluntly before smiling and waving his finger "you can't lie to me now..I know all of loves motives." He stated before grabbing another strawberry.

"We grew up together.. He grew up too fast. I didn't want to hurt him more than he had been."

Taehyung cocked a brow before sighing softly. This was going to get no where.

"Jungkook... He's in the infirmary and could be dying because of me...."

Chapter Text

"I have visitors?"

Taehyung pushed back the curtains before looking at the young boy situated on the bed.

"Who are you?"

"Do you not recognize me Jungkook?" Taehyung asked before clicking his tongue as he walked towards the other. His movements even more elegant than before. He looked at the younger boy before noticing the bandages wrapped around his body and sighed.

"Taehyung? How?" Jungkook asked softly. Taehyung's heart broke slightly. The other looked so small, so scared of the god that sat in front of him. It was times like this Taehyung remembered that Jungkook was just a kid.

"It's a long story, you're pretty beat up," Taehyung said softly before sitting on the side of the bed, his body hardly making an indent on the soft mattress.

"you had to grow up too fast kook.."

The god reached out before touching the other's hair slightly, smoothing out the stray strands. "You know, you remind me of myself sometimes..."

"An asshole?"

Taehyung laughed softly before shaking his head. "You're scared.." He said softly before shrugging "I was scared too. Didn't have a thing to my name, no parents and no land... My grandparents took me in yet they died..."

"Why were you scared?" Jungkook asked softly and Taehyung smiled gently, hoping to calm the other.

"I didn't want to be alone.. The farm got lonely after they died however I was blessed to meet two very important people.." Taehyung paused before looking out the window "well I guess you could call them people..."

"Your gods?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung laughed gently. The other was staring at him in awe, as if he was explaining a story about some hero.

"My gods took the best care of me.. And I was never alone.." Taehyung stated as he looked back out the window "I know it's scary.. But you'll never be alone.."

A comfortable silence fell between them before Taehyung's attention was pulled back to the younger boy. He noticed the other gripping his arm softly, head bowed slightly.

"I'm sorry Taehyung. I'm sorry for everything.. I shouldn't have been as cruel to you.." Jungkook said and Taehyung was taken by surprise as the other started to cry. "I was scared of losing Jimin, he was my best friend and the closest person to me.. I got jealous that he gave you so much attention. And I didn't want to lose him.."

Taehyung smiled softly before wiping the other's tears. "You're still young Jungkook.. I forgive you but if you ever get scared.. Or jealous just remember you never walk alone.." The god said before looking around the small room.

"I'm actually glad you get to rest here.. The war isn't a place for you. After this just enjoy being a kid ok?"

"Will you teach me how to be a kid?"

"I'd love to.."

Chapter Text

"I've always enjoyed the garden."

Taehyung pushed the wheelchair through the pebbled paths with a soft hum. He looked at the younger boy who stared at the flowers around them.

"I never got to see the garden much. In the army it was either training or sleeping..the only time I was allowed out was when I was guarding the Prince." Jungkook explained softly and Taehyung watched the other carefully. He sighed gently before shaking his head, that's not how a kid should grow up.

Taehyung came to a stop by the fountain in the middle of the garden before walking in front of the other. He sat on the edge of the fountain and looked at Jungkook curiously. The other held his gaze for a moment before glancing away shyly.

"If you don't mind me asking.." Taehyung said softly and dipped his fingers in the water before checking Jungkook if it was ok to go on.

"How did someone as young as you manage to become a royal guard?" The god asked and watched as Jungkook tensed slightly. He reached out and placed his hand ontop of the other's knee gently.

"You don't have to tel-"

"I was orphaned by the age of six.." Jungkook blurted out and Taehyung felt his heart break. "I felt abandoned.. And I was.. The orphanage had no room so I was living on the streets. I felt betrayed and I hated everything." Taehyung sighed softly and nodded. God Taehyung knew the feeling too well. Of course his parents were killed when he was sixteen so Taehyung couldn't imagine the pain Jungkook felt.

"I thought I was going to die on the streets. That was until I met the Prince. I thought he was a normal kid..." Jungkook explained softly and Taehyung nodded, fully engrossed in the story. He had never heard about either boys past so this was great.

"Did Jimin bring you into the castle?" Taehyung asked curiously and watched as a fond smile grew on Jungkook's lips as the other nodded.

"When we met.. Jimin told me he was just a servant and that we could still hang out.." Jungkook said softly the smile never once leaving his lips. "So I went to the castle to meet this servant boy.. When I showed up.."

"He was the prince." Taehyung said and smiled softly as the other nodded. He knew this story way too well. The god patted Jungkook's knee gently before standing up. He paused as the other began to speak again.

"He convinced his father to allow me to join their military and to be a guard for Jimin.. So we ended up growing up together. Except when he had his English lessons I had my hand to hand combat lessons.."

Taehyung watched as the other played with his hands before sighing softly.

"I just wanted to be a normal servant that cleaned and stayed inside the castle.. Not a guard." Jungkook said softly and Taehyung's expression softened even more if that was even possible. Jungkook had been just a kid when he was sucked into the world of killing.

"And then I fell in love with him."

Taehyung's stomach twisted as he stared at the other. He sighed softly before smoothing out Jungkook's hair.

"I loved him when he was eighteen and I was sixteen.. I still love him. Isn't it stupid?" Jungkook asked with a bitter laugh and Taehyung sighed softly. He knelt by the other to look at Jungkook's face better.

"It's not stupid." Taehyung said softly and offered a soft smile "sometimes we fall for people who aren't for us.. It'll work out in the end."

"Says the god of love.. You can make Jimin love you. I can't do anything. I served him for over fourteen years of my life yet you just waltz in and take him." Jungkook said softly and Taehyung felt his heart break. He sighed softly and touched the other's cheek, cleaning the tears that were on his cheek.

"I didn't mean for this to happen Jungkook." Taehyung said softly and watched as the other looked up at him.

"I know you didn't. I shouldn't have been so cruel to you, but it just hurt that Jimin wanted you and not me," Jungkook said softly before putting his own hand ontop of Taehyung's hand.

"Please take care of Jimin.. He'll trust you more now that you're a god." Jungkook said softly and Taehyung laughed gently.

"You'll still be his guard.." Taehyung said and cleared his throat "I'm not even sure if Jimin and I should stay together.."

"Why do you say that? I thought you two loved each other.."

"We do." Taehyung said before sighing and staring at the ground. "Yet as you two get older... I'll still be this age. I'm immortal now.. Jiminie will grow old and have to marry and have kids." Taehyung's throat tightened slightly as he thought about it.

"He can't be happy loving a god."

Chapter Text

The days after Taehyung had healed had been peaceful but they were soon over.

Thankfully Jungkook was healing but both Jimin and Taehyung made sure that he wasn't allowed back into the army. Now Jungkook worked peacefully in the kitchen with Seokjin and often helped in the palace garden.

Taehyung worked closely with Namjoon, part of him was extremely interested in the battle plans the other part of him wanted to make sure no one got seriously hurt.

"Your highness?" Taehyung asked while pushing open the door. He looked between Jimin and Namjoon before stepping into the room. The God knew Jimin felt uncomfortable with sharing the battle plans with him but Taehyung demanded to know. Their relationship had been growing but Jimin still needed to share things with him.

"Taehyung I'm glad you could join us," Namjoon said and the God smiled softly before walking over to look at the map. He looked down at what he assumed was their strategy before humming softly.

"Tae," Jimin's voice was soft as the king spoke up "I know you said Yoongi was going to help us. But you're a huge part of this as well."

Taehyung raised a brow before tilted his head, wasn't he already a huge part of this mission?

"Taehyung we need you to go in the palace and distract the king while we place our men." Namjoon now spoke up and Taehyung nodded slowly. He could distract, that was easy he already did that enough to himself.

"And you need to give a message." Jimin said and Taehyung nodded. He was excited in a weird way, never in his life had he taken part in some secret mission.

"I'll do anything to help win the war your highness." Taehyung said and looked back at the map

The meeting soon finished up once Taehyung had gotten his message. He watched Namjoon leave before looking back at the map.

"Are you nervous?" Jimin's voice was softer than normal. there was obvious worry in his voice and Taehyung could only smile softly. He leaned across the desk to clean up the map. A small smile creeped on his lips as he felt arms wrap around his waist and soon he was pulled into Jimin's lap.

"I just don't want to lose you again." The King said while kissing Taehyung's chin gently. The God laughed softly before placing his hand on Jimin's cheek softly.

"I promise I'll come back. I'm a god nothing can hurt me now." Taehyung said and bopped Jimin's nose before humming. He relaxed into the other's arms

"I can't help but worry." Jimin said and Taehyung looked at the other before smiling softly. He leaned up to give the other a quick kiss before running his hands through Jimin's hair.

"We'll both come back after the war and we can live together." Taehyung said, ignoring the annoying twist in his stomach. How would Jimin react when Taehyung was still young and never aged? God he hoped the other didn't make it more difficult than it would already be.

"You're spending tonight with me, I want to spend all the time I can with you before you leave." Jimin said and Taehyung hummed softly as he felt the other's arms snake down to rest on his thighs. He snickered softly and understood the other's game.

"Just imagine when the war is over," Taehyung started with a soft hum "you'll sit high and mighty on the throne. We'll be at peace and I can call you my king everyday."

"God all I can think about is making love to you on the throne."

Taehyung laughed gently as the other hurried his face in the god's neck. He petted the other's head gently with a soft side.

"After the war is over I'll ride you, anything you want your majesty." Taehyung mused and snickered as he heard Jimin's low groan. Man he had the other whipped for him.

"You better return safely Taehyung. Don't do anything stupid."

"I would never."

"Good, because I really do love you."

Taehyung blinked owlishly before smiling even more, his cheeks a soft pink.

"I love you too."

Chapter Text

"Is this my horse?" Taehyung asked as he carefully ran his hands over the white horse. The same one from the first time he met Jimin. He looked over at the king who grinned widely.

"She's taken a liking to you. When you went missing she wouldn't let anyone ride her." Jimin said and Taehyung laughed gently while petting the horse's nose.

"Seems like you and her have a lot in common." Taehyung said before hoisting himself up onto the horse.

"You two are so gross." Namjoon's voice cut through the air followed by the sounds of horse hooves. Taehyung grinned sheepishly before looking down at Jimin who stood by his horse. It was really nice to get to know Namjoon more, the guy was actually really intelligent and overall a really cool guy. Plus he was with Seokjin and Taehyung had a soft spot for the older cook that had always helped him.

"Are you ready to go Tae?" Namjoon asked and the God nodded eagerly. His normal silk robes were exchanged for a white military uniform, gold embroidery decorated the sleeves and pockets along with different medals. It was the opposite of the black uniform Namjoon had. Black was fitting for men, and Namjoon was really.. Fit..

"I'm putting all my trust into you." Taehyung said softly before looking back at Jimin. He smiled softly before leaning down to kiss the other. Taehyung had to be careful not to fall of the horse but all he wanted to do was fall into Jimin's arms again.

"You guys are gross. It's not like you're not going to see each other soon."

Taehyung pulled away from Jimin before looking over at Jungkook. He smiled brightly before laughing. The God was glad Jungkook had gotten better and could walk on his own, he was even more glad Jungkook wasn't allowed to join the army again.

"Take good care of the garden Kookie, I expect my strawberries to be beautiful." Taehyung said while leading his horse to follow Namjoon out. He waved wildly with a bright grin.

"I'll be back. Stay safe all of you. When we come back we will have won the war!" Taehyung exclaimed before turning to Namjoon. He looked up at the sky briefly before smiling even more.

"Thanks Yoongi."

Taehyung had never been in a city so late at night. The streets were empty and not a single sound rang through the streets, it was unsettling. Also the fact that the moon was hidden which caused little to no visibility didn't help.

"Here we are." Namjoon said softly and Taehyung watched as the other got off his horse. He sighed softly before following suit and tied his horse up. Taehyung stared at the large door before looking at Namjoon.

"So you want me to go in there?" Taehyung asked and watched as Namjoon nodded. The God sighed before running a hand through his hair.

"Don't worry, I'll be in the shadows. I'll protect you." Namjoon said softly and Taehyung nodded quickly. He pushed the door open before finding himself in the large palace like room. The God looked around in awe before approaching the empty throne. What a bummer, he was expected atleast some guard.

Taehyung walked up to the throne and circled it once before carefully sitting down in it. He looked out into the room and felt pride swell in him. The God stiffened slightly as his vision was blurred and soon it was dark.

"Isn't it great to imagine? Ruling over everyone and everything?" A voice asked by his ear and Taehyung shivered slightly. He furrowed his brows, resisting the urge to pull the hands down to look at the owner.

"You can rule a kingdom on your own. Strong, brave, a God nonetheless. You could do it in your own."

Taehyung pursed his lips before nodding. They were right, Taehyung would make a great leader. He knew how to lead plenty of people plus he was immortal so he would never have to worry about his family line.

"Just give into it Taehyung, don't you want to rule on your own?"

Ok now that was weird. The God stood up quickly and blinked owlishly as his eyes adjusted to the light. Brown eyes locked on the brown haired man in front of him.

"Choi Minho," Taehyung said and stared at the king who stood in front of him. This king carried a different feel compared to Jimin. An aura of confidence, one of someone who had been a king for a long time.

"What are you doing here Taehyung? I can't believe such a god has graced me." Minho spoke up and Taehyung wrinkled his nose. He stood up straight and felt his stomach twist, how did this man know who he was?

" can you believe park Jimin is king now? Your poor city."

Taehyung felt his blood boil slightly as the other talked down his city. He shook his head before frowning.

"Actually I came on a request by the King." Taehyung said and his eyes glanced up to the balcony where he saw Namjoon leisurely leaning against the rail, bow loaded and ready to fire in his hand.

"And what may that be?"

Taehyung looked back at the king before stepping forwards.

"Lose the war or watch your city go down in flames."

Chapter Text

Taehyung's heart was pounding against his ribs as he followed Namjoon through the city. He looked around as fire licked the buildings around them.

"This is insane."

"I'm a man of my word Taehyung." Namjoon replied as the two ran through the streets. The night wasn't as quiet as it had once been, instead it was filled with panic.

"The troops got what we needed. Without this city victory is in our grasp."

Taehyung felt a small smile tug on his lips. The war would be over, thank god. How long had it been going on? Too long. He couldn't wait to go see Jimin again.

"Watch your step Tae."

Taehyung stumbled as the other pulled him back, an arrow wedged in the wall next to him. He sighed softly before looking over at Namjoon.

"Thanks, Jimin would kill me if I got hurt." Taehyung said with a soft laugh while following the other down the empty cobblestone road.

"Do you think Minho got away?" Taehyung asked and raised a brow as Namjoon shook his head.

"I made sure he was dead."

Taehyung couldn't help but shiver at the thought of Namjoon killing someone. He also couldn't help but remember what he had seen. Taehyung could rule on his own, when Jimin died he could take over. They would never have to worry about an heir because Taehyung was a god.

Taehyung gasped as he felt his back his the ground, searing hot pain shooting through his leg.

"God dammit Taehyung I said watch your step."

Taehyung hissed softly as Namjoon helped him up. He looked up at the other before giving an apologetic smile. God he was really uncoordinated.

"What would I do without you?"

"Well you better cover up that cut before you see Jimin." Namjoon answered and Taehyung reached up to touch his cheek before noticing he was bleeding from his hand. He hissed once again before noticing his wrist was broken.

"Don't tell Jimin, I'll heal in no time." Taehyung said and looked around before spotting their horses.

"Can you ride a horse? Your wrist isn't ok."

"I'll be fine." Taehyung said while untying his horse. The horse was spooked, the God couldn't blame it. There was fire everywhere.

"Taehyung calm your horse we have to get out of here fast."

"I'm trying" Taehyung said as the horse reared and panicked. The God leaned over, whispering into it's ear trying everything he could to calm it.

"Taehyung this isn't safe for you."

Taehyung's eyebrow twitched slightly before waving the other off.

"I'm fine. Let's go." The God insisted even as his horse panicked. It would be hell to get the horse out of the burning city but Taehyung had been through worse.

"Follow closely. If you get separated head west." Namjoon said and Taehyung nodded quickly. Even while spooked the horse followed Namjoon's guide for perfectly and Taehyung felt his heart rate finally even out when they got out of the city.

"Jiminie I'm coming home."

Chapter Text

"Do you remember last time we had a ball?"

Taehyung snorted while fixing his robe. He looked at the other before walking to him.

"I don't want to remember." He said before fixing Jimin's collar and then his hair. He stared at the other before kissing his forehead softly.

"This party is different. It's to celebrate our victory." Jimin said and Taehyung hummed softly before nodding.

"I don't think i could have won if you hadn't come back."

Taehyung felt a small smile tug on his lips as he listened. He laughed before placing the golden headband on his head.

"Funny how things work out." Taehyung said softly and smiled as he stared at their reflection in the mirror. The perfect picture of God and royalty, the perfect ruling duo.

"You're so handsome."

Taehyung couldn't help but give a bashful smile after Jimin's compliment. He rubbed the back of his neck before turning to the other.

"You're not so bad yourself." He said while walking towards Jimin. Taehyung smiled even more as the other's arms wrapped around his waist.

"Let's skip the ball."

"As tempting as that sounds.. Wouldn't it be suspicious?" Taehyung asked and hummed softly before giving the other a quick kiss. He hovered just inches from the other's lips and stared in his eyes.

"What are they going to do? I'm the king. I have important business to take care of."

Taehyung snorted softly before tilting his head.

"Mm yeah you do have something important to do."

"I've been wanting to do it for a while."

"Than why don't you?" Taehyung asked before grinning even more as Jimin pulled him into a deep kiss, hands eagerly undoing Taehyung's elaborate robe so it slid off his shoulders.

It wasn't desperate, it was needy. Both of them had been waiting for this day once again.

Taehyung's toes curled and back arched with each touch. He stared at the other with a silent plea to take him soon. A forbidden dance between God and King, there were no boundaries now. Taehyung loved Jimin and Jimin loved Taehyung.

"Ah fuck Jimin, I want you. I want you so bad." Taehyung said softly and whined as the other's moment stopped, hips moving back to meet his fingers.

"I'm sorry. Your highness please, fuck me." Taehyung whined and looked at the other with pleading eyes.

It didn't take much long after that before their bodies rocked together. Taehyung's legs wrapped around Jimin's waist and Jimin's face buried in Taehyung's neck.

"God I love you so much." Jimin mumbled in the midst of everything.

Taehyung felt his body shutter at the words and he threw his head back. God he was so close, it felt so good. Fuck Jimin was so good.

"I- ah ah- I love you too."

Taehyung was so close. He moved hips back, deeper, harder, more. He found himself getting lost in Jimin. The other consumed his every thought when all he could think was Jimin.

"Come for me princess."

Taehyung felt his hips stutter slightly before the overwhelming pleasure hit him. He let out a loud, needy moan before riding out his orgasm. Not too much later Jimin was chasing his own orgasm and Taehyung grinned as the other climaxed. The God pulled Jimin close before kissing his forehead.

"Let's just forget about the ball." Taehyung said softly and paused as he noticed the other had fallen asleep already.

Man Jimin was getting old.
