Summary
“They got to you again,” Riki says, he doesn’t even seem upset, just sad. “They always do. That’s why you left.”
Jungwon flinches. “I didn’t leave because of them.”
“Then tell me why,” Riki challenges. His voice is barely a whisper now. “Tell me, Jungwon. For once.”
“I already did. That day. I told you.”
“You lied.”
“You don’t know that.” Jungwon’s voice cracks before he can help it, what’s the point if they both know the truth.

Summary
Later, as they walk back with their bounty of produce, the sun dipping low over the hills, Jungwon says quietly, “Thanks…for being here.”
Riki turns to look at him. “Where else would I be?”
Jungwon doesn’t answer right away. Then, “I don’t know. Somewhere bigger. Louder. You don’t seem like the kind of person who stays long in a town like this.”
“I didn’t think I was,” Riki admits.
The stars are out, lazily scattered across the navy sky, the moon slung low above the fields like it’s watching them. Cicadas hum, somewhere far but near enough to stitch the silence between stories.
Between the hostile roosters and endless peach trees, Riki's quarter-life-crisis getaway turns from a week, into two, then three, maybe four would be just enough. It'll never be enough. Riki is falling—for the town, for the quiet, and for the boy who makes everything feel like home.

Summary
A Lightbearer in the Celestial Grounds, Jungwon drifts through twilight realms where time folds like silk, tending to the threads of mortal fate. He guides quietly, lovingly—his duty not to be known, only felt, like a breeze before dawn or a hush before hope.
Then comes a boy. Nishimura Riki.
A dancer with stars in his bones and rebellion in his pulse. He moves like he’s trying to outrun gravity, burn through the dark. Jungwon is only meant to watch, to guide. But in his dreams, the boy begins to dream of things even Jungwon cannot assure.
Up in the Loom Halls of the Celestial Grounds, the Loom of life begins to tremble.
The story of a threads that frayed and found another. Of a secrets whispered in the haze of the dreamscape. Of a love that wasn't woven—only felt.
And when mortals reach beyond the veil, the stars do not weep.
They wait.

Summary
When the Quarter Quell drags previous victors back into the arena, Keeho expects to survive the way he always has: by staying entertaining, staying adored, staying untouchable. Jiung expects none of that. A quiet victor from Seven with a reputation for being “difficult,” he built a life as far from the Capitol as he could.
But if they agree on anything, it’s this: they don’t like each other.
Choi Jiung hates Yoon Keeho and the feeling is decidedly mutual. Even before the arena, they were already a danger to each other, spending years learning exactly how to get under each other’s skin.
But with friends missing, enemies closing in, and the arena stripping them down to nerve and blood, Keeho and Jiung may end up forced into the same path. Depending on each other is a problem. Wanting each other is worse. And the closer they get to something like trust, the more dangerous it becomes for everyone.

Summary
“Can we speak casually?” Intak barrels on. “Is it okay if I call you hyung?”
“Uh, yeah. Sure.” Jiung tries not to sound as taken aback as he feels. They’ve been talking for a while, sure, but it’s still surreal when Intak’s Hwang Intak, half-man, half-star, shining from another orbit entirely.
“‘Cause—since I call Keeho hyung too.”
“Of course,” Jiung shifts in his seat, twisting the ring on his finger. “That’s fine.”
“You’re so awkward,” Intak laughs after a pause, sipping from his beer. “Like I asked you out or something.”

Summary
Jiung and Intak are lovers.
But they are not lovers.
(When Intak meets Choi Jiung, who cares and pays attention in the smallest ways—like that one time he’d taken off his shirt so Intak didn’t burn his hands on a hot metal pan (they were baking brownies) taking it out of the oven—and takes the time to get to know Intak and entertains his questions and has private conversations with him even when they’re with the group, he thinks maybe the bad luck is over. He’s found someone who gets him. Who might even want him back.)

Summary
Fake-flirting does, apparently, lead to fake-butterflies, Keeho realises. Not the ink type, the my stomach just did something stupid and traitorous kind. Keeho wishes he could blame the alcohol, like he usually does. One shot isn’t enough for that, though, so this time he'll have to blame the crowd and the lights.
It's not the fact that Jiung is too close. He doesn’t need to think about it any harder than that.
(or: Jiung wants revenge. His ex hates Keeho. Easy math.)
