Summary
"Keith—" He feels his heart lurch as Keith squats down next to him. One hand on his wolf's head, scratching behind his ear. His eyes, however, remain fixed on Lance, and he had really hoped that the whole dry-mouth-lump-in-the-throat-heart-skipping-a-beat thing would've stopped happening when he turned, but here he is. Vampiric and still the flustered mess he was when he was human. "Buddy, I can't breathe—"
"You don't have to breathe," He says, that ghost of a smile still fixed and the whisper of amusement in his voice.
It sends chills down his spine.
Lance huffs as much as he can when there's a large wolf crushing his chest. "That doesn't mean it's not uncomfortable."
"You'll survive." He pats his wolf one last time before pushing to his feet. "Better luck next time, Lance."
"I'll get you one day, Keithy boy." He calls out as Keith walks away, disappearing from his vision and continuing down the path. "Just you wait."

Summary
When Lance is thrown through time, he finds himself one year in the future, in place of the Lance that should be here.
He finds his team to be remarkably familiar, yet distinctly different. They have more scars, a better grip on the whole saving the universe thing, and over a year’s worth of teamwork to bind them together. But the weirdest part? Keith seems to be a lot more touchy with him. Not that he’s complaining… much.
The team must try and work out how to reverse the two Lance’s places and restore them to their original timelines. But despite the fact that they’re still his friends, Lance can’t help but feel a little out of place among a team that’s been through so much with a Lance that just isn’t him. And it doesn’t help that the team is on edge around him, refusing to tell him anything for fear of influencing and changing the past. Things get even more complicated when they have to rely on the team in the past to complete the switch, leaving Lance to little more than sit, wait, and attempt to fill in his future self’s shoes.

Summary
When Lance is thrown through time, his future self from one year ahead is transported to the past in his place.
This Lance is faster, stronger, and markedly more mature. Not only that, but he's distinctly more intuitive about his teammates and A LOT more touchy with Keith.
The team must try and work out how to reverse the two Lance's places and restore them to their original timelines. Things only get more complicated when the Future Lance can't seem to remember where he was when the switch happened, and he refuses to reveal anything about his own time for fear of influencing the team's decisions.

Summary
The Vastaya are an ancient and proud race, born of magic and man, and they are dying. The spread of humans makes the magic of their homelands run thin. What is left is preyed upon and corrupted by the rising galra influence.
After losing their home, what remains of the Marmora tribe scatters, fighting the spread of corruption where they can. For the last few centuries, this is the only life Keith has known. And with Shiro’s disappearance, he’s more alone than ever. But he keeps going, even if it means losing himself. For the fight. For his people. For their future. For his homelands. For magic.
The last thing he expected to find is another feathered vastaya, one with wings that shine like the sky and move like waves when he dances. He never asked for company, never wanted it. But as Keith finds himself growing fond of Lance’s flippant attitude and determined blue eyes, he thinks that maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t want to fight alone anymore.

Summary
Lance McClain constantly dreams of the day he'll finally meet his mysterious soulmate. They don't say much, if anything at all, but they leave him with gorgeous paintings temporarily tattooing his skin. It's not exactly the situation he hoped for, but when he feels the connection between them, he can't bring himself to resent them. As much as he wishes his soulmate would just talk to him, he's resigned himself to being patient. In the meantime, he has a loving family and good friends to help him get by.
Keith Kogane dreads the day he'll finally meet his obnoxious soulmate. He's just an art student who's struggling to find his place in the world. There's so much he hasn't been able to control in his life, and the thought of having a soulmate, just another thing in his life which he also has no control over yet can't do anything about, is a little terrifying. So he ignores the words that occasionally appear on his skin. He has other things to focus on: like being a new student at a big university where his childhood friend and step-brother go.

Summary
Being half galra has had its perks and downsides, but having his alien DNA wreak havoc while they're being held prisoner is a new kind of mortifying for Keith.
Second piece for Keithtober 2019. Prompt: "Nature"
______________“Oh my god, Keith has his Galra period!”
Lance.
He scrambles gracelessly over, and it’s probably the only reason Krolia isn’t able to stop him. She aims a half-hearted kick at him as he goes, but it’s too high. She’d expected him to get to his feet first. She grits, “I’m sorry, Keith!” but it’s unnecessary. Her foot barely clips his side. He kneels, crawls, slithers, flops to Lance, and if he smacks his cheek against the floor in his blind rush, it’s immediately soothed as he presses it against the jackhammer of Lance’s jugular.

Summary
Fondly, Keith shook his head. “So,” Keith started, laughter dying down as he leaned over Lance. “Cuba together?”
And Lance beamed – outright beamed – up at him as he pulled him down against his chest. “You bet your sweet ass, Cuba together.”
Keith, rash as he could often be, understood that his responsibility as a paladin of Voltron was to the universe. So, he understood that despite what they felt, he and Lance couldn't be anything other than paladins, at least until the war was over.
After nine years of rivalry, turned pining, turned something just shy of lovers, the war is over. The paladins are headed to Earth, Lance isn't wasting any time, and Keith, as much as he loves a challenge, just tries to keep up.Bookmarked by wittyy_name

Summary
All things considered, things are going fine for Keith. He's apprenticing under Shiro at his shop, and his brother seems pleased with his work. He gets along fine with Allura and Romelle; he even kind of likes Pidge. With James out of the place, things are blessedly, if precariously, okay.
Three minutes into Lance McClain's first day, he manages to ruin all that for Keith.
It's almost impressive.

Summary
Lance stopped in his tracks, lifting his head to stare fearfully toward their destination. The castle loomed ahead of them, ominous in its state of disrepair. The brickwork and ornate doors that had once held the royal family now stood crumbled and damaged. The beast that occupied the building now had no time for upkeep, it would seem.
“Keep it moving, Lance.” A gruff voice ordered from his side. The gentle pressure of the guard's sword settled between Lance’s shoulder blades a moment later, when Lance stayed frozen in spot despite the warning.
One more step and he'd be on the bridge. Short and stone, leading straight to the castle door. The final march, less than ten steps before death would inevitably snatch him up in its talons.
--
With his entire village on the brink of dying from the coldest winter they've ever known, Lance volunteers himself as a sacrifice to the dragon living in the abandoned Altean castle. Only, the great dragon Krolia isn't home, and instead Lance meets Keith. Short, spunky, socially awkward. What starts out as hate at first sight quickly develops into something much more.
