Summary
Isak and Even throughout the summer of 2019, as seen by themselves + 3 different POV’s.
Isak hums pursing his lips and tilting his head, making Even chuckle. The older boy slowly leans in, nuzzling their noses together and making Isak’s eyes flutter shut. Even presses his smile lightly onto the younger boy’s nose, the his forehead, his cheeks, his jaw and throat. Isak gasps slightly, pushing his fingers through Even’s knotted hair.
“Up here, drittsekk.”

Summary
“Soon you’ll finish your doctorate and then you will work in the hospital.” Isak hummed in answer. He knows all of that already. Now he just wants Even to shut up and cuddle him to sleep.
Even lets out an excited giggle, “and then, not long after, you’ll be Dr. Bech Næsheim instead of Dr. Valtersen. That sounds fucking sexy.”
That makes Isak look up. “Dr. Bech Næsheim?” he asked amazed.
“Yeah, we’re going to get married soon. And then we’ll have 3 kids and live in a huge house with a beautiful backyard.”
A huge smile lights up Isak’s face and there is no trace of sleep to be found anymore. He bites his lower lip to contain the giggle that wants to escape.
Even talking about their future like there is no way but for them to spend the rest of their lives together and build a family of their own, makes him giddy with so much joy. He’s never felt so happy in his life before.
Isak leans up and slowly kisses Even. It was a soft and long kiss. The one that says, “I love you” and “You’re the best thing in my life”.

Summary
Do not go near Wei Ying.
The words are clear and concise, etched neatly into the unyielding stone of Gusu Lan's wall of rules by Grandmaster Lan Qiren himself. It's unmistakable too, having the Wei character for ghost and Ying for infant - Clearly meant to allude towards one specific person living in the Cloud Recesses.
For a long time, Lan Jingyi has always taken Grandmaster Lan's chiding of him "not upholding Gusu Lan conduct appropriately," with some measure of practiced aplomb. Years of being under Hanguang-Jun's careful tutelage has taught him that there is more to being righteous and moral than mere writings on the wall, and Jingyi has learned to shrug off the more arbitrary reprimands of his home Sect.
But as he stands before the Discipline wall, he doesn't think he wants to do that this time. To simply shrug it off and let it go. And from the carefully concealed frowns on his fellow disciples' faces, he suspects that he might not be alone in his sentiment.

Summary

“Lan Luan-daifu says it looks like you’ve been undereating for months.”
“I eat!” Wei Wuxian protests. “You watch me eat, Lan Zhan!” Why is he protesting? He knows exactly what he’s been fucking up, and Lan Zhan almost certainly has the shape of it if not the details. The words stick in his throat, fishbones to choke on, and he drinks more soup in a sullen attempt at washing them away.
“Wei Ying,” Lan Zhan says, setting a hand on his too-wiry thigh. There’s a whole sentence in the name now, layers of meaning, and he says some of it out loud with, “What’s wrong?”
The fight goes out of Wei Wuxian. It’s finally easy to surrender: Lan Zhan knows. It’s humiliating, but he knows. “Ah, Lan Zhan,” he says quietly. “It’s… complicated.”
Lan Zhan nods, his hand petting over Wei Wuxian’s leg in comforting arcs. “Then we can work together to fix it,” he says earnestly. “Tell me?”

Summary
After the war is over, the imperial realm can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
