“Evan. Look, you’re a young man now. Almost grown. And there’s…there’s some things you need to know.”
He braces himself for any number of things. To be told they’re selling the house and moving now that he and Maddie will both be out on their own. That he shouldn’t bother coming back for breaks. He’s ready for a repetition of the old song and dance about how he shouldn’t be open about his magic, that he shouldn’t draw attention to himself. He’s even half-braced for some kind of sex talk (not that that ship hadn’t already sailed…in both directions).
But then his dad starts to talk. About their lives before he was even born. About a home he doesn’t remember. About a brother he never knew.
About sickness and relapses and how they didn’t think there was any other choice. About a deal that was made in grief and darkness and desperation, and hidden away where no one could see.
And with every word, he can feel his heart, his world, his whole damn life shattering into pieces underneath him.

Redditors: Is Ana the asshole?
After trying and failing to move her relationship forward with Eddie, Ana Flores turns to Reddit for advice and consolation, but things soon go awry when she realises that it's not a "what" that's standing between her and happiness, but a "who".
While Ana's trying to navigate her awkward relationship, her Reddit posts start gaining more and more traction, and the Internet becomes anxious to follow the saga of boyfriend E (m34) and his coworker B (m31).
Part humor, part character study, part Ana anti-fan club, with an adorable pet snake named Scooter thrown in there for good measure.

Does anyone else's partner hate pet names?
He gave me that impression very early on, so I call him by his first name but he doesn’t seem to respond well to that either. Maybe he’s just not used to hearing it? He usually goes by a nickname at work and he doesn’t see his parents that often. Not really looking for advice, just haven’t experienced this before. Especially because his coworker seems to call him whatever he wants and he never seems to mind.

“At first I thought I could just drop her off with Chim and then take a break or something. But when he wasn’t there,” Maddie sighs. “I figured it was a sign.”
A sign for what? Buck wants to ask. But Maddie is being dodgy in a way she hasn’t been in years, so he has to. “A sign for what?”
“It’s what mother’s who can’t take care of their babies do right?” Maddie looks down and bites her lip. “Drop them off at fire stations?”
The pieces are slowly coming together. The way her voice is cool and even but she can’t stand still. Why she’s here alone. Why she won’t look him in the eye. The feeling in his chest is familiar, but instead of reading it in a letter he’s seeing it happen in real time.
“You’re leaving.” It’s not a question.
Buck talks to Maddie, and then he goes to Eddie’s. Post 5x03.
Maddie's gone. Chimney punched Buck, and Buck is just so fucking exhausted of it.
Eddie is just pissed because Buck's hurt.
