Taehyung knew when the enchantment started because his magic automatically responded to Jimin’s. He shivered, skin prickling, with the familiar feeling surging in the air. He opened his arms to welcome it around him and feed it with more of his own.
He couldn’t hear the words out of Jimin’s mouth - they were too far, and the Nyeon was too loud - but it was like the click of light in a dark room when the magic started to stick. At that point, even the Nyeon felt it and began to struggle in its hole, unable to escape. It was too late. The Nyeon shrank in size, groaned, and howled until its laments became chirps. Jimin jumped into the hole in the ground and picked the now little beast into the palm of his hand, and swiftly climbed out.“How come it looks almost cute now?” Taehyung said, peeking at it. It was still tussling against their magic, but it was so tiny it looked more like a weird kid toy than a human eater beast.
Jimin rolled his eyes.“It doesn’t.”
