"If I write a letter," Richie asks wearily, "do I have to give it to him?"
"Not if you d-don't want to," Bill answers at the exact same time Stan says "Absolutely."
On the other end of the phone, Stan scoffs. "Why wouldn't he give Eddie the letter, William?" he demands. "Is the goal here not to tell him how he feels?"
Bill glares down at the phone. "We don't wanna f-force anything, Stan," Bill argues. "Maybe he just needs to get the words out of his system and m-move on?"
"Or maybe," Stan counters, "he's had these feelings since we were literal children, and it's time to shit or get off the pot." He pauses, and then says, a bit quieter, like it's directed away from the phone. "Excuse the language, babylove."

“Can’t sleep properly alone in the house?” Albert asks, sympathetic, and Bucky knew he was tired, but he wonders if it’s even worse than he thought before Albert can see it. He always figured the serum did a pretty good job of hiding the usual evidence — bloodshot eyes and dark bags a rarity for Bucky.
“A bit,” Bucky admits, doesn’t say that he hasn’t slept a full night through without Sam in the next room. That when he has slept, his dreams have been nightmares. That he’s counting the nights until Sam is back. Only two to go. Maybe Bucky will come back here and pick up some beignets before driving to the airport to fetch him. Sam will complain about getting the sugar all over his truck, but he’ll gladly eat them anyway.
Albert nods like this makes sense. “I can never sleep right when my missus is away, either.”
It seems like everyone around town has gotten the wrong idea about Sam and Bucky's relationship. Sam thinks maybe their use of the term partner is the cause. Bucky might not be so sure about that.

"'Go to sleep,' Bucky tells him. His voice is strained, and Sam can’t tell if he’s been crying. That’s been Bucky’s answer, lately, and it hurts Sam more than it annoys him."
Based on the prompt: "Hurt/Comfort. It takes a long time for Bucky to let Sam see his scars, to stop hiding how much the metal arm hurts sometimes"

Bucky leans in close to the laptop screen, eyes tracing lines and contours that he never thought he’d see again.
Sam drops down on the sofa next to him, puts a hand on the back of his neck. “How you doing?” he asks, quiet.
“I’m all right,” Bucky answers, mostly honest.
“So. Uh. Dumb question maybe but I gotta ask: they’re authentic?”
Bucky just nods. Lifts a finger to brush over the tenderly sketched curve of a naked body.
