“My apprentice is easily led,” Snoke continues, as if Hux hasn’t spoken. “He is driven by impulse, emotion. These fixations are distractions to his true path, and they are things I will break in him, when he is ready. In the meantime…” He waves a knotted, spider-veined hand toward Hux, as if in dismissal. “You will assist me, in sating his desires.”

“I have just the thing for you,” Hux announced. His voice held a strange note, almost tender.
He dropped his hand and stepped back, and Ren almost swayed toward the energy he exuded. He was projecting things Ren was not used to from him: a desire to comfort, consideration. He opened his mouth to ask what thing it was that Hux was offering, but those green eyes flicked to him and a smirk played on soft lips.
Hux jerked his head toward Ren's discarded garments and helm. “Collect yourself. Meet me in my quarters.”

Following the destruction of Starkiller Base, General Hux is ordered to remove a wounded Kylo Ren to a place where he can recuperate. Knowing nowhere else to house him safely and discreetly, Hux takes Ren to his family’s estate on Arkanis. He anticipates adding this experience to the already long list of abhorrent memories he has of his childhood home, but six weeks in company with Ren turns out to be something quite unlike Hux expected.
