Ever since Nancy broke up with him Steve had started to sort out his priorities. And where Steve once had been the one to be adored and looked up to by everyone around him there was now Billy Hargrove. Handsome Billy who walked into Hawkins and won everyone's attention in a heartbeat right from the start. Maybe there was a hint of envy that built up in his guts. Envy that was rooted in the knowledge that Billy now had everything that Steve once had. But it was only dim, barely there, covering another feeling that Steve didn't want to admit to himself.

What Steve Knows: Steve Harrington lives in a town suffering under a Hags curse. His father found a way to capitalize off of that. He doesn't want to be an asshole (anymore). He's a Beta and he's going to propose to his Beta girlfriend as soon as they graduate - because the family you make is the only thing that makes life in the Cold Zone tolerable.
He's very wrong about being a Beta.
