  1. Summary

Plant a Dragon's teeth and you can have an army of grown warriors, or so the legend said.

(Or: how the Hatake can either be born naturally or planted from a Hatake tooth, an offering of the flesh and the clan's White chakra.)

Alternatively known as the "How Sakumo Makes Friends in Suna" and the "Hatake clan actually being Agricultural Experts" AU.

Will oscillate between humor and tragedy. Also full of (mostly Hatake) OCs alongside canon characters.

    Read at your own risk.

There's a lot more ghosts once Sasuke starts venturing out of the compound regularly, too. Not many, but they notice him, realize they can focus around him and he can see them, and start gathering around him. Tobirama scares them off a bunch of times, pretty much whenever they start bothering Sasuke.

A lot are Uchiha, and apparently the Uchiha used to live elsewhere in the village, all spread out, and a lot of the ghosts didn't move with the clan. A lot are Inuzuka. There's one Nara that he finds. A lot are quiet children who sit blank-faced in corners.

Those last ones bother him, but they won't talk to him, and will only report dully to the two Hokage. Seeing them seems to enrage both Tobirama and Hashirama, and depress Hashirama, though they don't show it around the kids. But Tobirama rants a lot when they're safely in the forest with no one around to hear, complains at length that he made a mistake putting Saru in charge, he hadn't thought the boy would give Danzo this much rein -

Sasuke spends a while gathering the words, then solemnly tells Tobirama he'll become Hokage for them and fix this. Maybe he can't help the ghosts, but there's other kids still, aren't there -

Tobirama tells him I believe you and expands his training into politics and diplomacy, roping in the most recent ghosts they can find for slightly more current events.

Finally, Elder Noritaka throws his hands up in frustration.

“The only person who comes close to meeting your ridiculous requirements is second son Tobirama, and you know it! And you certainly can't marry him!”

And it is at that precise moment that Tobirama's life changes forever.

Butsuma scoffs but, strangely, a darkness comes across his features after that. The man begins to brood. He calls his second son to discuss inconsequential affairs in his office and then, once Tobirama arrives, simply sits and stares at the young man.

The unease in Tobirama grows and grows and grows until, one day, half a year after Kamiko's death, in full view of Tobirama and the rest of the clan, Butsuma determinedly walks up to Elder Noritaka and--

    “Why can't I marry Tobirama?”

It's far easier to fall for a name than an identity. It's a lesson Ladybug learns the hard way, but she isn't sure she regrets it.

    “How about just a name?”

“Except you would probably search up every girl with my name and try to figure out which one I am.”

“All right, Chat,” she said once patrol had ended and they were resting up in the bars of the Eiffel Tower. “I’ll play along. But with a slight change of rules.”

Chat perked up at this, his ears rising and eyes widening in a way that made him seem so innocently curious. “Name them.”

“I’ll tell you the first letter of my name, then you pick a name for me. And vice versa.”

As it seems on the surface - it's an alpha and an omega meeting in a bar. That's barely scratching the surface for both of them though.

“What’s pretty thing like you doing sitting all alone here?” the man says, and the delivery is comically offbeat.

Sukea looks up through his lashes. His mouth quirks a little, and he makes no little show of appreciating the gaze that pins him in place. The alpha - he’s not trying, but something makes his throat dry. “I think you’re just trying to flatter me,” he says, evenly, if not a little coyly. Shifts, tosses his head a little, so to let his own scent disperse more.

The masked man blinks. “Ah, but Deidara-senpai said that line’s a hooker, line, and sink! Or - did Tobi get it wrong? Was it hook, line, and sinker?”

Sukea blinks. Smiles slowly. “Delivery could use some work, maybe?”

“Ahhh, so that’s what Senpai was talking about!” The man jabs a finger in the air, and then clenches it into a fist, letting it hit the open palm of his other hand in an ‘aha’ gesture.

It’s going to be a long night.
