Summary
When your big brother is a zombie, things can get a little hectic. Zombies are relatively easy to care for in most regards, but they do have special needs. Zombies have to eat too, you know. Even the sentient ones.
Or,
Wilbur has come back to life as a new form of evolved zombie after his father was unwilling to put him down. After reuniting with his big brother, Tommy finds himself bearing witness to unsavoury events stemming from Zombur’s special diet. To deny him, to deprive him of sustenance, means losing what he has left of his brother. What other choice could he make?

Contrary to popular belief, the dead can actually climb stairs. They’re not fuckin Daleks, you know. Tommy has even watched them set up ladders. Muscle memory, he supposes. A chill had swept through him at the sight of that. Knowing that the dead can use tools, that terrifies him.

After the fall of mankind (and subsequently his eldest brother’s base), Tommy finds himself in the care of a slightly unhinged hunter who seems as if he was made for the apocalypse. Shenanigans ensue.

The clock makes a gentle ticking sound. If you weren’t listening for it, you’d probably never hear it. Dream doesn’t think it’s intentional. He doesn’t think the manufacturers of the clock purposefully built in a ticking effect or anything. And it’s not like the clock has a seconds-hand or a minutes-hand, so it’s not a constant noise. But it ticks. It definitely ticks. When it shifts, simulating the procession of the sun across the sky, it ticks.
