Zhang Qiling stared into the small side chamber, eyes fixed on the contents, but unseeing. He'd examined every inch of that room looking for door triggers earlier, never once considering that the objects preserved in the center glass could be the answer he sought. Perfectly preserved in that airtight container were precious gems, soft silks, headpieces, fine-toothed combs, jewelry, cosmetics… and jade pieces whose shape left nothing to the imagination as regarded their purpose.
