    Summary

“It’s great timing that you moved here. Word is you recently married your long distance partner, congratulations."

Minghao starts sweating. Is it normal to congratulate people on a new marriage, or is his boss suspicious of the serendipitous nature of his visa? He straightens up and tries to arrange his face into something lovestruck.

“Thanks.” He smiles big. “I really love him. The whole thing was so... “ Clinical. “Romantic.”

He thinks of how Mingyu slammed the door last night but snuck out early this morning without so much as a note. They haven’t even exchanged phone numbers yet.

this fic is...so incredible oh my god. genuinely one of the best things i have ever read. minghao is just such an incredibly sympathetic character. the way homesickness and loneliness are portrayed is so achingly real. i just really want to give him a big hug the whole time haha. and the way mingyu and minghao’s relationship slowly develops? all the angsting minghao does over it? perfect. plus all the scenes with mingyu’s friends...the jihan proposal...minghao visiting mingyu at school...the interviews...THE FIRST DATE...fuck it’s so cute and so perfect. this fic just makes you think about things. there’s so much more than romance. really, it’s about life. and that’s what makes it so incredible.

    Summary

He spends the next few days near losing his mind. Instead of listening in class, he writes a list of positives and negatives about Wonwoo and Jeonghan, and then rips it out, because it feels dumb and reductive to put his feelings into factors like is a good kisser and is a time traveller and I actually know things about him other than the fact that he’s a time traveller. They’re both such different people that it seems impossible to compare them with what he knows so far. It all comes down to one factor, anyway—Wonwoo is his future. He knows that. He’s more or less seen it, with the way Wonwoo knows him so well. Jeonghan is his present, what he can have right now—but at one point or another, that will have to stop. Right?

    or

Time is a strange thing, but Wonwoo and Jeonghan's presence in his life is even stranger. Between some unpredictable time travel, snapshots of precognition, and a few tough inclines, they figure things out together.

wow, i’m so in love with this fic. the scope of it is just so massive. you can tell that the author has carefully planned every part of it so that the past and present and future all fit together perfectly. this is easily the best chan-centric thing i’ve ever read (not that there’s a whole lot to choose from...) it’s just so good. i love the idea of meeting someone who goes to the past and someone who can see the future and being the connection between them. i love the way chan, jeonghan, and wonwoo come together. i love the way the story travels through his childhood. i love antagonist seungkwan and the whole idea of him being a star/planet...like, wow. crazy. and i love that last chapter: wonwoo and jeonghan trying to remember something that’s been erased, wonwoo traveling to find chan and fight seungkwan and see all the pieces of their lives, and then chan going through life again without seungkwan at his side. the big picture here is so huge, and it’s all done so well, and that ending is so incredibly satisfying. i want a love like this. without the magic mess, preferably. anyway...katie is so incredibly talented. we’re so lucky to have her and her stories.

the moment i finished reading this for the first time i bookmarked it and whispered “holy fuck” to myself. i have to describe this as a tour de force. it just...says so much in such a beautiful way. there are things in here about love and identity and family and finding happiness that i have never thought about or found words for before. the jinkook is cute and funny. the minjoon is the main focus and understandably so-it’s written so well, and jimin’s character is definitely done the best out of everyone. but the star of this for me had to be the yoontaeseok...the one thing that consistently gets me is that combination of polyamory and insecurity. this does it so well. i really feel for hoseok, and for everyone else. this feels life changing. i read it expecting something funny and fun like the original crazy rich asians, but this is a million times better. i’m so, so grateful i decided to read this.

    Summary

This is how he fell in love: naturally, unconsciously. Beomgyu had no say in the matter, not when Soobin shares playlists with him and Yeonjun always asks how are you doing, Gyu-yah, no, really. Not when there are trips to the grocery store and Saturday nights at noraebang and a thousand full-teeth smiles, across days and weeks and months. Not when Beomgyu finally got a taste for it, beer-drenched and false as it was.

It lingers, beneath his fingernails and between his toes. In the space behind his teeth. In the marrow of his bones.

(Or, it is a fact of life that Yeonjun and Soobin were made to love each other, and no one else. At least, it was until Beomgyu kissed both of them.)

i knew from the moment i read the summary that i would enjoy this fic. that combination of polyamory and insecurity is one of my favorite things to read. it just really hits me in a way that few other things do. but i had no idea just how incredible this would be. i didn’t understand the detail the author put into each character and each relationship and the history between everyone. beomgyu is such a convincing protagonist: he is strong and hurt and searching for himself, and the things he realizes are so painful and true. the metaphor of doors is so simply beautiful. and the way he navigates every part of his relationship with soobin and yeonjun...so achingly real. i feel how he hurts. and i love him.

    Summary

“You guys know other people like, respect me, right?” Jihoon said bitterly, crossing his arms, “There was a whole article about me in TIME that called me ‘The Greatest Pianist of our Generation’?” Soonyoung looked down at Jihoon’s crotch with his eyes wide. Mingyu hit him on the back of the head.
“Pian-ist,” Mingyu said clearly, “He said pian-IST.”
“Ooohhh,” Soonyoung said, rubbing at his head, “That makes more sense.”
“Oh my god,” Jihoon groaned, “I can’t believe this is my life now.”

Mingyu's happy with his job as a stagehand for the local orchestra until pretentious, world-famous concert pianist Lee Jihoon comes to town for a three-month residency.

this fic makes my heart ache not because it makes me sad, but because of how tooth-rottingly sweet it is. i love mingyu and jihoon’s characters and i love their relationship with each other: playful, a bit conflicted at first, but in the end totally smitten. i love the classical music setting. it’s so fun to read. and i absolutely love the ensemble cast: the 97 line mocking mingyu for everything, namjoon the music nerd, and the orchestra crew (especially soonyoung, local cryptid). in the end, it’s just funny and heartwarming. and the ending is so perfect. i always feel warm when i finish reading this.
