Very funny, the character voices are perfect - I could hear their conversations happening in canon -,and the crossover somehow works amazingly well. It could be Black Books canon.

Methos tells lies and he tells truth. The difference is not always obvious.

I don't usually like primordial!Methos, but this was great, probably because the writing is beautiful and evocative and most of the fic is spent focussing on Methos's lies and the nature of memory, which is like catnip.

    Bookmarker's Notes

The best Chuck fic in SPN and among the best meta fics I've read. I haven't been in SPN for years, but it was worth it to come back to read this when I came across it. Captures both the hurt and absurdity of wank and the spirit of fandom, and pushes the concept of Chuck Shurley and the canonical SPN fandom to its logical conclusions. I genuinely empathized with watsonian's position, and I loved the haunting way it all circled back around to the beginning in Afterword 4.

I prefer to read it on dreamwidth (linked in fic), where the formatting is a bit better, better mimicking lj and making the fic more seamless.
