He had called him 'DeeDee' and 'baby' in the heat of the moment, but he knows Dieter has told him his full name before. Vanderohe frowns, face twisting up in thought. Was that this loop, or some previous one? Vanderohe has to wrack his brain for the memory of their first introduction in Tanaka's hangar, for their conversations at the makeshift firing range, for the words passed between them while putting their gear together. ". . .Ludwig?"
Dieter makes another happy, affirmative sound, wiggling in the cradle of Vanderohe's legs for a moment before finally heaving his sticky body up to flop face-down into the pillow beside Vanderohe's head. "I do not know your first name."
Or: They've already had sex by the time Vanderohe realizes he and Dieter aren't on a first name basis.
