Summary
Two years after the death of Palpatine and the revelation of his grand conspiracy, the Republic under Padmé Amidala is still struggling to escape his legacy. The Chancellor sends Knights Barriss Offee and Ahsoka Tano to investigate reports of a massive construction project around Geonosis, which seems to have some connection to the inflated budget of the Strategic Advisory Cell. Meanwhile, Wilhuff Tarkin has managed to make his way to the top of the Republic Navy despite his alleged ties to Palpatine, and is now seeking out allies to bring the New Order he was promised by Palpatine to fruition by any means necessary.

I wake up with a headache so bad I briefly consider death as a viable option, only to realize I am not in my apartment, in a suspiciously expensive bed, and completely naked.
Which is already concerning. What’s more concerning is the sound next to me.I turn my head.
There is a woman.
Also naked.We stare at each other like two people who have been placed in the wrong save file.
Neither of us remembers how we got here.When she asks if I know who she is.
I say no.
She says “good,” which is objectively the worst possible response, because apparently she also has no idea who I am.So just to recap: unknown location, unknown woman, zero memories, maximum problems.

NOT ABANDONED. I'm just struggling with inspiration at the moment!
Nine year old Anakin recognizes Palpatine at Qui-Gon's funeral, having seen him at the slave markets on Tatooine and witnessed him using Force lightning. He of course relays this information to Obi-Wan, who, after having a panic attack, comes up with a plan that involves Padme, copious amounts of lying, several failed poisoning attempts (by Palpatine), cringeworthy codenames, a ridiculous sign language made up to humor his drama queen padawan, a secret wedding, at least one faked death, and the performance of a lifetime come Revenge of the Sith.

Summary
The weird thing wasn’t that Ahsoka hadn’t explained where they were going; it was that she was enjoying herself too much.
“Seriously.” It was probably pointless, but Sabine tried one more time. “You’re in a really good mood, and that’s, like, automatically suspicious.”
“Hurtful,” Ahsoka observed. Then, glancing over: “Strap in, padawan. I’m starting our landing sequence. There’s…someone I want you to meet.”
Or: In which Sabine probably could have stood to know less about her Jedi Master's love life. She's also increasingly certain she must have missed some kind of orientation meeting on all of the ominous backstory references flying over her head. Or maybe she's just being hazed.
