54. Sharon/Steve - sleep
Resting his hand over the scar on her arm, the thin silvery line that marks where Rumlow cut her open, Steve takes a deep breath.
55. Peggy/Bucky - modern vampire!au
"I’ve always liked garlic, too.“ Brooklyn apartments are small, so he’s only a few steps away when he says, "Catch someone early enough after Italian and you can kind of taste it. In the blood.”
56. Peggy/Steve/bucky - WWII vampire!au
Peggy does not take well to her turning.
57. Peggy/Steve - Steve leaves a family behind
Six months after Steve wakes to an empty bed, not even the heat of Peggy's missing body still caught in the sheets, Natasha pays him a visit.
58. Bucky/Sharon - dark magic!au (+ werewolf!steve)
She still craves things that Bucky long ago threw away.
59. Bucky/Sharon - frenemies to lovers
“It’s the honeymoon suite and you’re a spy. Live a little, Mrs. Buchanan.”
60. Bucky/Sharon - sons of anarchy au
"You going to spend the night on the porch like a guard dog?"

This is a terrible idea.
The medical tent is full of men, littered with the wounded that just rolled up, following men busy bellowing Captain America! over and over. You had seen him then, making eyes at you even though he'd been ragged as a stray dog, bleeding in ripped clothes. It isn't the first time a soldier has looked at you like a little bit of home he wants to touch, and you know it won't be the last. He'd smiled and nodded politely, but the slick curve of his mouth let you know just what kind of man you'd be dealing with later.
And true to form, when you pluck the dog tags off his chest to match the name to the one you've scribbled on his chart, he runs a finger delicately over your hand and says, The name's Bucky.

The declaration is made by the council on the eighth full moon of the year.
“Steve,” Bucky says plaintively after he’s delivered the news. His body's still shaking a bit from the shift out of the wolf, the same way his body shivers when Steve touches him. Pets his ruff when he’s turned. The moonlight lights up the forest in a sad, lonely sort of way, and Steve wonders what it will be like when he loses Bucky as well. “Talk to me.”
The truth is there’s not much to say.
On the next full moon, Bucky and Sharon will be bonded to join the two Eastern packs.

She was Steve's first, he reminds himself. His before Johnny’s undertow pulled her in, helped along the way by Steve’s complacency. Johnny’s like gravity: he grabs hold and drags you down, and Steve has spent the better part of five years trying to pull her back out. Steve misses her in his life the way she used to be - in his bed, in his heart - but he misses her looking whole and happy even more.
"We’re not kids anymore, Darcy," Steve says seriously, invoking the type of tone he imagines her father would if he were still around. Darcy’s eyes drag down to the hand he’s got resting over the gun holstered on his hip. "This isn’t Johnny taking you out for joy rides in Mr. Johnson’s hotwired Chevy."
Darcy grows up with the Rogers twins.

Peggy knows James Buchanan Barnes by reputation. The son of a self-made Jewish-American industrialist, a billionaire on his fifth wife who happens to be younger than his only child, a Columbia-educated boy nicknamed Bucky who lost his mother young and spent the majority of his teenage years and early twenties in and out of the tabloids, a prodigy with a taste for women - and men, if some rags are to be believed - that had led to him to scandal in New York. And it had been scandal that had driven him to the London offices of his father's multinational conglomerate, an affair with the young wife of one of his father's business associates that had led to the dissolution of a crucial merger.
That and his work as an American spook.

It's only when Bucky brushes past her, the skin of his arm cool as it connects with the rosy warmth of hers, that she understands what she has done. She can see it as he moves through her apartment, gliding through the space with a carelessness that feels nothing like him. It's in the back of her mind, like she's pulling out one of her own memories instead of one of his. Blood. Death. The pain of turning, so rich and vibrant that she aches with it secondhand.
When she turns to him, there's acknowledgment on his face, like the vision she just had was in surround sound, that it was something he was privy to as well.
You really are a shitty psychic, Darcy, he says, and the smile from earlier is gone. Only teeth remain, sharp and threatening. You didn't see this coming?

The newsreels hit the US a few weeks later.
CAPTAIN AMERICA AND HIS HOWLING COMMANDOS CAPTURE ANOTHER NAZI STRONGHOLD NEAR TURIN! AMERICAN BEAUTY MEETS NAZI-KILLING BRAWN AS THE COMMANDOS TAKE DOWN NEARLY A HUNDRED MEN.
Every few weeks, they send a news crew out to film them when they come back to camp, muddied and bruised, but always victorious. Phillips seems to loathe it even more than the Howling Commandos do, surly as he stomps around their outpost, muttering under his breath that, the front ain’t Gone with the fucking Wind.
“That’s real nice,” the slimy director tells them later that afternoon, looking over the list of shots they’ve taken today. “But I’d like to see the old uniform. The boys need a little something to look at. You know, get excited over?”
Margot’s perfectly shaped eyebrows don’t raise a single inch as she says, “Well, I guess we can see if Kitty kept Steve’s old skintight red, white and blue number,” and Bucky laughs and laughs and laughs until he cries.
The USO girls are Steve's Howling Commandos. Bucky's died and gone to Heaven.

Peggy’s in the living room of the apartment they’ve bunkered down in for the evening. It’s nearly a hundred degrees and they’re on the fifth floor, so Peggy’s stripped to her brassiere and a pair of Bucky’s shorts, and Steve tries hard - tries really hard - not to look at the swell of her breasts, but even now he can’t help it. She’s been with them near three months and he still can’t control himself. It makes him feel like he’s fourteen again, the skinny little kid that used sit at the other end of the room while Bucky felt up his date, lifted her skirt for him so Steve could just spot the edge of whatever colour panties she had worn special for Buck.
But he’s not. He’s twenty-four and his strange growth spurt at seventeen made Bucky the small one. One of life’s little ironies, he guesses. But Bucky’s still better at picking up women, charming his way between their thighs, which is how they ended up with Peggy. Except he’s pretty sure that she was the one who picked him. Them.
Not many dames who’d find tagging along with two lawless men a fruitful venture. But then again, Peggy’s not most dames. And they’re not most lawless men.

Steve is at her door in his uniform. And okay, yeah, Darcy's had some pretty fantastic dreams that have started like this before, but usually she's not in her sushi pajama bottoms and her CLINTON '08 t-shirt, rocking hair she hasn't washed in two days that is currently doing an awesome imitation of a badly groomed poodle on top of her head.
"Sorry, Darcy," he says quietly. "Assemble order."
Darcy is realllll slow on the uptake at ass 'ofuckingclock in the morning, so she just kind of gapes at him like a dying trout that's been plucked out of the water. She forgot her glasses in her room, so Steve - and the rest of the world - is a bit blurry, and her brain is just not firing on all cylinders.
"My shield," Steve says, clearly embarrassed. He doesn't have his cowl-y helmet thing on and he scratches his head and then his ear, looking anywhere but at her.
"Ohhhhh," Darcy replies, turning around to lurch back to her bedroom like a yeti.
Seven times the Avengers' weapons have liked Darcy better (and one time the Avenger liked her even more).

"Jane's cute," Clint says, shoveling yet another sloppy joe into his pie-hole. Darcy has been watching him inhale a disturbing amount of food for the last half-hour. This is why she likes eating lunch with the guys instead of why-yes-I'd-love-some-brussel-sprouts-on-the-side Sharon. They're good for her ego. She may eat like a hippo, but she'll never eat as much as Steve, Clint, or Barnes. "She's totally on my FUCK shortlist."
All of a sudden the crystal clear sky outside cracks with the loudest thunder Darcy has ever heard in her life. The windows rattle. Everyone freezes. Darcy can practically hear everyone's assholes tighten in fear.
Because across the commissary, Thor is looking at their table.
And it ain't raining panties this time. Just righteous, godly anger.
The dudes finally play MARRY FUCK KILL, not-so-Avengers edition. (Because there's like ONE actual female Avenger. Thanks, SHIELD.)
Wherein no one follows the rules, everyone still kills Tony, the Mets suck, (lots of theoretical threesomes?!), and Darcy turns Clint into a hypothetical honey badger.

"Actually, you know, I get it. Rogers would be an excellent MARRY choice. You know that he'd never leave the toilet seat up, would never drink the last of the milk, and would clean the rain gutters without prompting," Darcy says. She's never really considered Steve as anything other than Captain America who is impossibly unapproachable; weirdly enough, the things she finds intimidating about him as a person oddly work for her in a domestic setting. "Ugh, plus you just KNOW Barton would be the type of fucker that would eat the last oreo and then shove the empty box back into the cupboard."
"So what's your list then, Darcy?" Jane asks, turning back to look at the mold, which has done exactly fuck all in the last half-hour.
"Don't rush me! I need to make an informed, calculated choice."
Darcy looks down at her pad, then back up at Natasha. She purses her lips in thought. "You've fucked Barnes, right? How dexterous is that metal hand?"
The ladies of SHIELD play a mass game of MARRY FUCK KILL, Avengers edition.
Wherein everyone marries Steve, kills Tony, Jane betrays science and Darcy hypothetically turns Thor into a llama.

The truth is that in the Red Room, there was no part of Natasha her that truly belonged to herself, so it had never bothered her to seduce men, to sleep with them. She had hurt herself, cut and burned her own flesh in pursuit of her missions. Her mind was the last fortress, and by the end, she had given over that as well. It was difficult to explain to the woefully unprepared psychologists trotted out before her that it hadn't hurt her in the least to sacrifice these things at the time, and even now, on the other side, she still carries few regrets. They are prices for war and survival.
Natasha is only learning now how to make choices for herself, how to claim ownership over herself, her body, her desires. It is as foreign as first learning to walk or speak, stumbling along the way.
The first time Natasha sleeps with Steve, it is a choice she makes for herself.
Never let a man know your weaknesses.
