They gravitated towards Zuko whenever the temperature dipped even slightly. At night, he often woke to someone pulling their bedroll towards him, or slipping under his arm, or turning over in their sleep and colliding with his shoulder.
It alarmed him, at first. It had never been a good thing when someone woke him in the dead of the night.
It was strange, then, that he was on the run without Uncle, officially a traitor to his homeland, and for the first time since his mother left, he woke in the night sandwiched between bodies, feeling safe.

Regardless of what Jordan did or didn’t see in Jennifer—which was nothing. Obviously— someone out there thought she was special and important which meant that she was in danger. After much debate, it was decided Jennifer would be banished to the woods with Jordan to protect her.

Shit.
Goose eats Earl. Nick files an incident report and takes Goose to the lab to wait for her to barf up Earl because Nick is tired of replacing the accent rug in his office. Finance has gotten really stingy with the office budget lately, and Goose’s cat-flerken vomit reeks.
HR assigns Goose her own incident code and installs a BEWARE OF CAT sign on Nick's office door under his nameplate. Earl stops offering unsolicited advice, and Nick buys Goose one of the new expensive horizontal scratching posts that looks like a wave.
Goose looks way too pleased with herself.
