    Summary

Harry just wants to have a quiet life and get along with everyone. He wants to be normal, and accepted. Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.

I have read the first three books in this series so far and am loving it. The second book was a bit boring, but the others were great. They all have good world-building and characterizations, and the third one has plenty of funny moments. I really hope this series gets finished.

The life of a bismuth is simple: build and repair.

But one Bismuth finds hers growing complicated as, during routine maintenance of Gem quarters on the young colony planet Earth, she strikes up an odd camaraderie with three quartzes: Biggs Jasper, Crazy Lace Agate, and Snowflake Obsidian. Meanwhile, tensions over the increasingly disruptive rebel attacks escalate and Bismuth will need to figure out for herself what loyalty truly means.

I liked the backstories of the familiar characters that made you care about the characters and understand why they would join the rebellion despite this story being so short. There was also some good world-building about the actions of the rebels, the state of humanity at this time, and the chain of Gem command as Bismuth sees it. The plot is less interesting than it could be because we know how everything ends, but the character interactions are still interesting enough as they happen.

(Or: the subscribers of St3v3nUnivers3 are pretty sure the channel is some elaborately concocted ARG. Steven remains oblivious.)

The creator of the St3v3nUnivers3 TubeTube channel has realized there's been a... misunderstanding about the nature of the videos he makes. He's determined to tell the truth and set any confusion to rest.

    Easier said than done, unfortunately.

A short, single-joke story with a realistic portrayal of how Steven would reply to his TubeTube comments.

The Crystal Gems have often thought that everything would be so much easier if Rose had never left, that everything would be so much better if she could somehow come back.

Unfortunately, reality isn't quite that simple.

A nice start, but incomplete. The purposefully-invoked uneasy atmosphere has only been partially resolved, so this unfinished story doesn’t leave me with a good feeling. It does have good theorizing on the behaviors of Greg and Perl though.
