Summary
The dreams come frequently now. Sometimes they're hard to remember when Fjord wakes up, just the image of water, the memory of skin on skin, sand in his hair and fingers tight on his shoulders. Other times, they are more concrete, blue eyes turning yellow, a mouth moving but the voice is different, lower, resonant. Some of them fill Fjord with a sense of exhilaration, the first swoop of the stomach after a sharp plummet, the feel of having your lungs punched, disoriented before your head breaks the surface and you inhale that first gasp of breath.
But most of them just leave him with a sense of dread.

Summary
“Hey!” Skull shout-whispered, but he was grinning. His hands found Joker’s waist and steadied him. “This is a serious mission. You need to take this more seriously.”
Joker laughed, but the movement made the nose of his mask click against Skull’s and startled him into silence. He thought that he should probably move away, or at least let go, but Skull’s hands were still on his waist. Akira knew that he would likely be mortified by this later, but the mask made him bold so he looped his arms around Skull’s neck and said, “I’m always serious about you.”

Summary
Ryuji bumps shoulders with him and says, “Their loss, man. You just keep doing you, and screw ‘em if they don’t like it.” It doesn’t feel like enough. “You deserve to be happy,” he adds, and that feels a little better.
Akira’s smile stretches into a shit-eating grin. “Is that a confession?”
“I take it back. You’re the worst person I know.”
So they end up trying to push each other into traffic, but it still feels good.
