“A vacation,” Hermione said serenely, like she hadn’t just dropped the biggest bomb on him in the worst way possible. She smiled when he scowled deeply at her, and there was a knowing look in her eyes while she tapped her quill quietly against her parchment. He decided to glare at the damned thing - he hated that quill, it was the eagle-feather one that she only used on official documents, just like the one she had just finished signing to send him on his… vacation.
“I don’t need a vacation,” he immediately rejected.
"Yes, you do."
"No, Hermione, I really, really don't."
He hated that sad and defeated look in Adrien’s eyes as he sometimes crept onto the rock which tipped up from the sea, wings folded back and lips pursed tightly as he looked up at the stars and wished for his mother to come home. He hated the self-loathing look on Marinette’s face as she realized that yet again she had done something wrong, or the tears that sprang to her bluebelle eyes when she yelled and fought with the boy who she loved but didn’t quite know how to tell.
He hated that he was here, in the sea, with a tail and two arms and hands while he ached for wings and legs and anything but to be trapped by his own home.
He hated that he wasn’t there with them.
Luka looked at the stars, at the moon, and he looked at the two dancing across the sky, and he wanted to say something. He wanted to say how much he adored them both, how much he wanted to kiss their tears away and touch the heavens with them, how much he wanted to fly and live and love.
But he kept his mouth shut, and with a flick of his tail, he dived back down, his tears licked away gently by the sea.
Small snippets of a story in which Juvia is unobservant and fails to realize that in light of her newly formed self, two ice wizards were willing to freeze the other in a chance for her hand.

“Are you in love with him?” There was a softness in Kacchan’s voice that Izuku ever rarely heard - in fact, the last time Kacchan spoke so gently and comfortingly was when they first came to Hogwarts and Izuku had been terrified of being a wizard. When he looked up, Kacchan stared at him unwaveringly, his eyes unguarded and the gruffness of his words gone.
(Was he? Was Izuku in love with Shouto?)
“Maybe,” Izuku muttered, hands trembling slightly and his heart even more so. “I… I don’t know.”
“He looks at you.”
“He looks at you,” Kacchan repeated, like he could hear Izuku’s inner question. “He always looks at you. In class, in the halls, at the field, when we’re eating. We’re surrounded by magic," Kacchan said, gesturing around them and the comforting feel of the Room of Requirement’s magic that gently surrounded them. “But all he can look at is you.”
Kacchan cracked a smile, small and a little toothy but somehow more charming than his wide grins. “Like you’re the most magical fuckin’ thing he can see.”
"They say he's tamed two Night Furies, and they follow him around like they're his shadows, blastin' anyone who's doin' him wrong - but that ain't all he's done. Dragons, dozens of 'em, all from around the world, they protect him like he's their damn king, and rumors even say that no one's ever defied him and came out alive. He's a dangerous work, that man. So whatever you do, avoid 'im and hide, and pray he doesn't find ye."
In which Hiccup's been missing for six years, the war against the dragons rages on, and rumors of a dark and faceless man who has an army of dragons reaches the ears of Berk.

Shouto and Izuku don't know a lot of things, but one thing's for certain - they belonged with each other, brought together by a synthesis reaction to make an unbreakable ionic bond.
