    Summary

After another moment of them staring each other down, he indulges her. "What's the job?"

Her eyes dart around, like she's looking for possible eavesdroppers before she goes on in an even lower voice. "There's a monster under the bed," she whispers, like she's sharing a secret.

Geralt blinks—that's not what he was expecting at all. His brow furrows. "Under the inn bed?"

She nods, eyes still wide. "He talks to me when I have nightmares. Says he eats them and then gives me good dreams. I don't remember my dreams, so I don't know if he's really telling the truth. His teeth are big. I think he just says he eats dreams because I catch him before he can eat me."

    Summary

Geralt doesn’t let him finish his phrase before throwing him in the sea. The water isn’t deep here, but he knows Jaskier will not get hurt.

The bard resurfaces a few seconds later with a loud gasp and coughs. “YOU–!” He points his finger accusingly and Geralt wonders if he really thinks he looks intimidating. “Look at my clothes! I’m all soaked now and– and you–! You’re insufferable!”

Geralt just smiles at him. “And yet, here we are.”

That makes Jaskier relax and his outraged expression turns into a wide, delighted grin. He shakes his head with a chuckle. “Yes. Here we are.”

Again, Geralt’s chest has an odd reaction to that sound. He looks away as the bard walks towards him. “We… should go back now. Or you’ll catch a cold.”

    *Or*

Multiverse is a thing and in this universe Geralt and Jaskier live a happy life after they decide to go to the coast. Of course this means dealing with feelings and some domestic fluff.

    Summary

Jaskier doesn’t know how this started to be honest. This arrangement they have. If the world becomes too much for them, if Geralt has his senses rubbed raw, if Yennefer becomes too frustrated with the incompetence of the people around her, if Jaskier just wants to hold someone and just be, they find each other and fall into a bed and let the world fuck off for a few hours.

Geralt and Yennefer. Jaskier and Geralt. Yennefer and Jaskier. Whoever was free for a few hours would do.

Or: Yennefer and Geralt double team Jaskier and he suffers gladly for it. There's also a lot of feelings but it's Jaskier- he always has a lot of feelings.

    Summary

Getting stuck in Kaedwen in winter had never been on Jaskier's plan. It's cold, they don't appreciate his music and nobody likes their national beverage anyway. The only redeeming thing Kaedwen has is Kaer Morhen, so Jaskier does what any reasonable bard would do in this situation: he decides to charm his way into Kaer Morhen to hibernate with Geralt and the other witchers. If nothing it will be an experience no human has ever had, fuel for songs and poems for years to come, while finally teaching him a thing or two about witchers he's just dying to know.

Curiosity tended to kill the cat, but Jasker had always seen himself as more of a bird anyway.
