Summary
While dealing with his mad brother and the psychiatrist profiting from Sherlock's delusions, his Honour, Judge Mycroft Holmes works closely with his live-in lover, Inspector Gregory Lestrade, in finding justice for an innocent young female prostitute accused of murder.
NOTE: This is an original Sherlock Holmes story, much in the vein of what I started with 'A Most Delicate Condition' and using that universe within this story. I do have it planned out at fifteen chapters and I hope to have a chapter a week put up on a regular basis. While I am doing a lot of research for this, if you read this and do find a historical nag, please let me know!
I hope you enjoy it! I'm addicted to Mystrade and I'm hoping this will fuel more!

Summary
I started this story as an original m/m work but it kept stalling due to a) the characters not being the right gender for the fit of the plot and b) I really wanted to write an 'opposite' story to the one I wrote in 'A Case Of Bad Diction', where the Mystrade is set in modern times but with the characters completely shuffled and changed into an original shape. There are many published authors who have taken their love of Doyle's work and used it more as a writing prompt than a place of canonical severity (Sherlock Holmes vs. The Martians, anyone?). So...Here we are!
Mycroft Holmes, professional thief, is annoyed by her girlfriend's distraction over a set of human luggage sitting in a St. Mary's morgue. That said luggage was being used to mule hard drugs into London by the Crown Cartel is an added irritation. All Mycroft really wants is for DI Grace Lestrade to play house with her and revel in her Belgravia estate and all its pretty baubles, but even this is marred by her post-modernist neighbours with their chrome and glass monstrosity next door. Worse still, they are neglecting their borzoi. Who knew dog thieving and corpses stuffed with drugs would go hand in hand?

Summary
An unexpected emergency hospital visit places Mycroft in the path of chaos, which is nothing new for him, he does have Sherlock Holmes as a brother, after all. But the tired Omega is shocked at what DI Lestrade brings into the fray, and despite himself Mycroft discovers a sense of longing to *care*.
Sentiment is inconvenient and messy. He knows this. But how can deny it within himself when it's the one thing that could save an injured infant's life?

Summary
I've been reading the canon Doyle texts and had an idea for a wholly original version of Mystrade that would meld with the Victorian ACD version of Sherlock Holmes, though this is very much an original retelling. I've always liked the concepts of an unreliable narrator, and Dr. John Watson could easily be made a version of this, his stories of his adventures with Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective perhaps not quite so trustworthy as one might assume. Thus, this kind of fell out of my mind, and I'm not at all sure where to put it. I might continue on with a larger work based on this, it's still in the mind doodle phase. The ACD works are in the public domain which is why so many versions of Sherlock exist and have been professionally published/produced--Proof, in case anyone needed it, that fanfiction does have literary merit!

Summary
[Mystrade Supernatural/Sci-fi AU]
23rd-century London is a divided city. Two hundred years of genetic tampering has fractured humanity into subspecies, not all of whom are willing to get along. The capital's crime-ridden streets are now home to some fairly fantastic variants of human—some of them more dangerous than others. For DI Greg Lestrade, Cross-Human Relations at Scotland Yard, it's all just part of the day job.
But when a horrifying discovery forces him to seek the help of Mycroft Holmes, Head of Criminal Psychology, Greg might just be tested past his limits. Mycroft is unpleasant, unforgiving, and famously impossible to please—but if Greg needs anyone right now, it's a vampire expert.
With dangerous forces fast on their tail, Greg and Mycroft must work together to avert the vampire threat before it's too late.
