"There is something that I would like you to do.." Daisuke tells him. The words themselves make Haru's breath catch in his throat, but it's the tone of his voice that makes him shift slightly in his sitting position. It's a strange mixture of shyness and determination, with his gaze trained straight into Haru's despite the quiver in his lip, and light tremors in his body as Haru continues to stroke his supple skin.

When Daisuke's silence stretches out to almost a minute, gaze faltering as his eyes dart to the side, Haru takes it upon himself to coax the words out of him. He pulls him into an embrace, wrapping his arms securely around his middle before whispering, "Go on, sweetheart. What is it?"
Daisuke releases a shaky breath, but relaxes in his hold, and finally says, "I would like you to change into the uniform that you wore at the restaurant."

“Dai.. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have-”
“None of that now,” he interrupts, barely able to contain his smile as it widens, “A servant shouldn’t be talking back to their prince, am I right?”
He watches in delight as a pretty crimson color spreads throughout his lover’s cheeks, all the way up to the tips of his ears, accompanied by his bottom lip jutting out in a tiny pout. He takes his hand, his thumb caressing the back of it gently.
For some reason, it makes Haru giggle. Daisuke feels his eyebrow raise in question, to which Haru cheekily responds by saying “I don’t think a prince should be holding their servant’s hand either.”
“Are you questioning me, peasant?”

“How are you here?! I just came from your funeral..! You’re–”
Haru can’t bring himself to say it.
“Yes, I’m aware I’m dead,” Daisuke continues for him.
He doesn’t know why, because never in his wildest dreams has he had to even consider the possibility of his current predicament, but hearing Daisuke himself say the words is oddly comforting.
At the very least, it doesn’t seem like he’s losing his mind in grief, regardless of whether Daisuke is a figment of his imagination or not. After all, isn’t denial the first stage?

“The flowers are typically star-shaped, and they grow in clusters. The best part about them besides being pretty is that they can last well into the beginnings of winter, and—”
Haru is cut off when he hears that sound again, the breathy sound of amusement in the form of a soft chuckle.
The realization that he’s rambled colors his face with a light blush, and he ducks his head in an attempt to hide it.
“Don’t be embarrassed,” Daisuke tells him, the amusement still evident in his voice. “Tending to flowers is your job, after all. It’s pleasant to see that you genuinely enjoy it.”
