On impulse Shiro shoved the low table out of the way, and drew his chair closer to Keith. He bent forward, elbows on his knees, and held out his hands, palm-up. Keith was already cornered—literally and figuratively, on so many levels—and Shiro wasn't about to make that sensation worse. But he could show he came unarmed.
