Summary
[This isn’t a good idea, Claude thinks. It's been five years. They both leave Derdriu tomorrow: Dimitri to war, Claude to a throne of his own. But Claude wants it. It’s been so long since he’s let himself have something he wanted--not something that wasn’t aligned with his goals, but something he just...wanted, simply, the way he wants the warmth of Dimitri’s hands, the intensity of his gaze.
“If I were to have you now,” Claude says, quiet and sure, “It would be so much better than it was then.”
Dimitri sputters, going red, and Claude can’t help but laugh at him a little. He almost thinks that the breath of a moment, that Dimitri will pull his hand back and reach for his glove and blushingly stutter his way through an excuse for his impropriety. But then Dimitri swallows, and sets his jaw, and says, “Is that a promise, Claude?”]

Dimitri scoffs. “Just you? Claude, you are--” but Claude isn’t going to find out what he is--though he might have to ask later, because now he’s curious--because he cuts Dimitri off by kissing him again, cupping his cheek and angling his face down just a little. The direction has Dimitri slumping into him a little, almost relaxing, and Claude puts his other hand on Dimitri’s other cheek, moving his mouth gently against Dimitri’s, and finally Dimitri moves back, lips brushing against Claude’s.
Claude presses their foreheads together. “Was that so hard, your Princeliness?” he teases.]
The night before the ritual at the Holy Tomb, Claude loses his virginity to the Crown Prince of Faerghus.

(It didn’t surprise Dazai that Atsushi was willing to--that Atsushi wanted to, sometimes--manhandle him a little. It surprised him that Atsushi had found out his own spine was actually made of steel as quickly as he did, by pushing him up against the elevator wall after a nasty brush-up with a murderer at the end of a case. That Atsushi took unfailing care to not cause actual damage even as he wrapped his hands around Dazai’s wrists and held him down was so unsurprising it was almost boring, except it was difficult to find any part of Atsushi boring.)
