    Bucky snorted in response, rolling his eyes, and maybe this time his laugh wasn’t as small. Because yes, he wanted a dance. He wanted what Steve had got; he wanted to dissolve himself into the ecstatic joy of the end of war celebrations, taste the air, trick his fried mind into believing the war had ever ended, hold onto someone else tight enough to stop himself drowning in want of that nostalgic daydream. He wanted to exist again, just for a moment.
