    Summary

“And in the still after their lips part, their breathing the only sound drifting around Nedley’s office, Waverly had been acutely aware that she was getting ahead of herself, that a kiss didn’t necessarily have to mean anything. But that hadn’t been just a kiss, not really.

They can both feel the significance of it. It was dancing on the air between them.

Then, Nicole shifted position and the air moved, disturbed but not dissipated - shimmering like glitter in a snowglobe.”

In Waverly Earp’s life there has been many a presence she’d like to exorcise. There’s been absent parents, lost sisters, ghosts (figurative), witches (literal), demons (figurative and literal). But then, amongst the storm, there is Nicole Haught. There is coming home for the first time in two decades. Slowly, softly they make their moments together where they can - squeezed snugly into the spaces between all the drama.

[Or, a series of fill-in oneshots of the soft moments I wish they could have onscreen, commencing with the day after that first kiss].

    Summary

Nicole smiled. It was a lovely, slow smile with more than a tinge of heat to it. “Are you asking me out on a coffee date, Waverly?” she said, laughter delicately lacing her words. Dolls eyed the two of them and started to smirk, hiding his small grin behind his cup. Waverly felt her ears burning, heated with embarrassment, and what the hell. It wasn’t like she was a stranger to people flirting with her, she would usually handle it like a pro, but something about Nicole and that million-dollar smile was putting her brain in neutral, rendering her incapable of coherent thought.

Waverly blurted out, “Maybe you should try asking me when we’re not mid-route,” as she quickly backed out of the cockpit, trying not to listen to the low chuckled laughter as she left. She stood motionless in the galley for a full fifteen seconds, wondering what had happened. Oh, I just got myself in trouble, didn’t I.

And she couldn’t deny that part of her was really, really hoping that yes, she did.

    Summary

'“So are we not supposed to be asking who’s got you smiling down at your phone like that?” Jeremy asks.

“If you mean the person who's been helping me get the last of my thesis documentation, then you're way off base...I mean, I'm happy they’re so helpful and all, but we’re keeping it pretty profesh,” Waverly says, ignoring that voice in the back of her head: liar liar liar.'

Waverly Earp is a stressed History PhD student grappling with an unfulfilling relationship, a MIA sister, and that greatest evil of all: primary source procurement. Nicole Haught is a trainee cadet in Ottawa, banished to the college archive after she injures herself in the field.

When Waverly contacts the Ontario Police College to request access to their archival materials, she's not really expecting anything more from the person on the other end than document retrieval. She’s definitely not expecting a long-distance connection, or friendship, or more...

(Or, the one where they're miles apart and they still fall in love anyway).

    Summary

If there’s one thing Nicole Haught can say about her life right now, it’s that she’s not exactly living the dream.
Or, at least, she’s not really living her own dream.
For all she knows, working the security for a small inner-city museum might be someone’s dream, but it certainly isn’t hers.

When Nicole Haught takes a job with a security company, her main concern is finding a way to fund her Police Academy classes. Still, she had been hoping for something a little more thrilling than patrol in a tiny (and chilly) city museum where she spends her days pacing empty rooms and expecting absolutely nothing exciting to happen. That is, until she finally meets the museum's new curator and suddenly the little museum gets a whole lot more interesting.

    Summary

College house parties are usually Waverly’s thing, but this one could be going a lot better.

Between her friends’ endeavours to score a date and Waverly’s own ex-hookups creeping out the woodwork, the best option seems to be to bury her pride and find a quiet spot to lay low.

She quickly finds out that it is raining outside and a cute, red-haired stranger has beaten her to the best hiding space.

Just like that, the party has potential after all.
