It starts like this.
A hand clutching at his own, warm and loving, as someone ruffles his hair.
"Be good, A-Ying." His mother presses a kiss to his forehead, giving him a smile that seemed to light up the world. "We'll be back soon."
And those words morph into the hurt that comes with being a forgotten one, with only broken promises as his company.
It is like the chill that comes from losing a golden core, that is almost reminiscent to the coldest of winters in the streets of Yiling, and it is like the hunger in his gut, insaitable, feral, a wild fire that cannot be curbed.
He can only watch, time after again, as he loses those he loves.
And he wonders if this is the price for going down a heretic path, for his arrogance and naivety.
("you bring ruin to everyone you love.")
In the end, he is always left behind.
In which Wei Wuxian, after getting injured on a night hunt, is cursed to relive the most painful memories of his life.
It had just been a simple walk. Nothing out of the ordinary.
But Sawada Tsunayoshi is taken right under their noses, and even Reborn isn't sure just how long Tsuna will last.
Kidnapped by the infamous Lucchiere, a family known for their ability to reduce even the most powerful men to lifeless dolls, the Vongola will do anything to get Tsuna back.
After all, they were never known for giving up.

After the arcobaleno curse was broken, all had seemed well. Tsuna didn't think that he would have been chosen to be the new holder of the sky pacifier. Fated by a prophecy, he is destined to be the last to bear the curse.
He lets go of bonds, for others sake. And when they're gone, loneliness comes.
That is until when the sympathetic mist and blinding sun comes to help. A new warmth now fills the young sky holder as he faces the curse of the sky.
Can Tsuna manage to hide his secret from his guardians?
...All while he is dying?

From across the battlefield, his eyes meet Tony's. And Peter realises, shaking, that he cannot let Tony die.
Ash fills his lungs, suffocating him as he raises an arm, a single gauntlet forming. The world watches with bated breaths, as for a moment, Peter Parker wields the power of the gods.
Then, he curls his fingers in.
It's four past three.
Tsuna wakes up with something prickling at his skin, his heart working in overdrive and sweat-soaked sheets.
Four past three, when he decides to head down to the kitchen to get a glass of water, before going back to bed.
He never makes it back.
Nana is the one that finds him.
