Nan Feng looks skeptical as he glances between the painting and Fu Yao. “You, ah… you know a lot about this painting, then?”
Fu Yao nods. “I’m doing a history degree at the university. My name is Fu Yao.”
The landing doesn’t seem to stick. Nan Feng shrugs and looks back at the painting, and it’s only through Fu Yao’s persistent observation that he notices Nan Feng’s cheeks are a little flushed—the tips of his ears redder than they were a moment ago. Cute.
“This painting makes me mad,” Nan Feng admits after a second. “Not because of what my friends said last week… but it seems disrespectful to draw a god like this. It pisses me off for some reason.”
“He’s a fertility god,” Fu Yao informs him. “If you scan the code with your phone and listen to the audio guide, it goes into more detail. He wasn’t always a sex god, though. Do you want to see another painting of him? There’s another one in the next gallery.”

The consequence is a mortifying bodyswap. Jiang Wanyin has never worn a more boring outfit, and now he has to rely on Wei Wuxian to fix him (if he has time in between bouts of laughter).
