Zack has prepared a yes-no-maybe-list for Angeal to fill in. They talk, they negotiate, they fuck and then they talk some more.

This is a follow-up on 'Wish Fulfilment', but could definitely be read as a stand-alone.

My intention is to write a series of kinky pwp's for this adorable, teeth rotting pairing, and this was just the basic setting up for the series... with a little bit more fucking than was intended. But I swear, I cut half of it out. These boys have way too much hots for each other! ;)

Excellent kink negotiation! Love that Angeal is trying so hard to be understanding with all of Zack’s big feelings.

Just a fun omegaverse sandbox for me to play in. I disregard a lot of canonical events, or if I include them I've completely messed around with when they happen (like making Kakashi 15 when Minato dies for example, and also everyone is like 3 years older roughly from what they would be in canon events, but sometimes it's more cuz I don't care really I'm just here to have fun and write about PTSD-ridden people with trans-dynamics and non-gender related body dysphoria

    Summary

Barret thinks he should tell the rest about the first time the Planet spoke to Aerith––maybe because the world may as well have already ended. There’s a bite of sulfur and ice in the air, and despite the Lifestream snaking seemingly inches from the surface, they’d be shit out of luck defining life like a dictionary does.

    Avalanche remembers Aerith.

    -

No one speculates about the Forgotten City, or why she went all by herself. The stories keep rolling, resisting the creep of the silent question. But they turn it over in their heads: sacrifice or accident, reckless confidence or calculated risk. Who knows? And, in a way, who cares? Wishing and wondering and asking why won’t change things. All they can do is finish the job for Aerith.

    Summary

Barret recalls the fateful decision to allow Shinra into Corel, what led him to that point and what happened as a result. Looking further back, he realizes that Shinra was not the only company to exploit Corel’s natural resources for profit, and that while mako may be the blood of the planet, coal comes from veins just the same.

    Bookmarker's Notes

The blood of Corel’s miners were on the coal bosses’ hands long before it was on the Shinra’s. The smell of coal had covered the town. Was it really any better than Midgar, full of Mako fumes, polluted by the planet’s own blood? He’d never thought of coal like that, but coal came out of veins just the same, didn’t it?

How much had Barret ripped out of the Planet with his two hands? How much did he put back when he killed the Shinra? What had he paid from his own body, grown up on crops from Corel’s soil, an arm lost back into that dirt? And how much did he still owe the earth below him?

The company took the coal from the Planet’s veins, took the blood and sweat and tears of the workers before taking their lives. Just like Shinra did, all of ‘em just the same. Nothing mattered to them, not the Planet nor any living thing on it. He just wished he’d realized it earlier, the truth about selling the Planet’s blood for money, and what really mattered, like fresh air to breathe with healthy lungs.

“Breaking news this early in the night?” Verna murmured. “Off to a good start.”

Whatever response Dale fashioned for his coanchor died as Alex and Claudia spoke simultaneously—a garbled mess pounding into his right ear. Bits of information penetrated the chaos, enough to paint a picture, albeit muddy.

    AVALANCHE.

A news station covers the Sector 7 pillar attack. Sometimes, all one can do is sit and watch.
