Summary
The "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode "Rejoined" (S04E06) had a different ending.
Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax, Chief Science Officer aboard the space station Deep Space 9, and Dr. Lenara Kahn, the greatest expert on space wormholes, are the current hosts of two symbionts previously joined by a married couple. Jadzia and Lenara rediscover the love of their previous hosts and fall in love in turn. Lenara decides not to submit to Trill laws and stays with Jadzia. Three years later, returning from a war mission, Captain Sisko learns that the Cardassian Dukat has broken into the station and caused the collapse of the Bajoran Wormhole, killing Dr. Lenara Kahn as well. Distraught with grief, Jadzia tries in every way to save at least the symbiont of her companion but clashes with Trill laws. Sisko desperately tries to reopen the Bajoran Celestial Temple, but realizes that the only person who could help him was Lenara herself.Series

L'episodio della serie Star Trek: Deep Space Nine intitolato "Riuniti" (S04E06) ha avuto un finale differente.
Il Tenente Comandante Jadzia Dax, Ufficiale Scientifico Capo di Deep Space 9, e la Dottoressa Lenara Kahn, grande esperta di tunnel artificiali e naturali, sono gli attuali ospiti di due simbionti precedentemente uniti a una coppia sposata. Jadzia e Lenara riscoprono l'amore dei precedenti ospiti e si innamorano a loro volta. Lenara decide di non sottostare alle leggi Trill e rimane con Jadzia. Tre anni dopo, di ritorno da una missione di guerra, il Capitano Sisko apprende che il cardassiano Dukat si è introdotto sulla stazione ed ha causato il collasso del Tunnel Bajoriano, uccidendo anche la Dottoressa Lenara Kahn. Affranta dal dolore, Jadzia cerca in tuti i modi di salvare almeno il simbionte della sua compagna ma si scontra con le leggi Trill. Sisko cerca disperatamente di riaprire il Tempio Celeste bajoriano, ma si rende conto che l'unica persona che avrebbe potuto aiutarlo era proprio Lenara.- Language:

At the end of Rejoined (DS9, S04E06) we saw Dr. Lenara Kahn departing from Deep Space Nine with her collegues, leaving behind Lt. Cmdr. Jadzia Dax, with whom she felt in love (again). But what would have happened if, few days later, the Trill scientist had returned to DS9 to being with her not-so-new lover forever, despite the Trill laws and the consequences offered by the Symbiosis Commission?
