Summary
The Nations are alive. Something that each Avatar-and the rulers of each nation-learned eventually was that each had a human form. Like the Avatar Spirit, they were immortal and (as with the case of an emaciated, comatose Southern Air Temple reforming into Air Temple Island) reincarnated. Though some-like Water Tribe and Air Nomads, and many smaller nation-tans that were eventually absorbed into Earth Kingdom-faded over time, many still remain.

Summary
Fourteen years after the atrocities that occurred at the air temples shocked the world, a young girl of the Fire Nation discovers that a healer from the Southern Water Tribe is destined to free the Avatar. Unaware that this refers to a moment that will take place after almost a century, misunderstandings lead to adventure. A group of four unlikely companions travel the world, meet some familiar faces, and set into motion the events that defined the Hundred Year War.
Canon compliant, rated T for some swearing and references to darker themes.

An AU where getting out of the Fire Nation Palace a handful of years early works wonders on the mental health of certain individuals. Basically a series rewrite where the Water Tribe's a lot more active and a little more antagonistic, if that's your cup of tea. Sokka prefers the Ginseng, himself.

Summary
In an age when every known Southern waterbender has been taken prisoner by the Fire Nation, a storm at sea forces the crown prince to rely on a waterbender who isn't from the north or the south. Iroh learns to freedive, which will be useful to his nephew in 40 years, and fails entirely to learn other things that would have been useful at the time.
An Iroh backstory fic taking place 60 years into the Hundred Year's War. Mysteries to be solved include: how Zuko knew how to freedive into the Northern Water Tribe. How Iroh learned how to sail out of it. The invention of lightning redirection. How the hunt for the Last Dragon went down. What the worst possible combination of two animals could be.
