The woman who opened the door is younger than he expected. She’s wearing an apron covered in flour and when she notices him looking, she nervously tries to wipe it off. Maybe Tony should have called ahead. Or at least given her more time to prepare than just knocking on her door. To be fair, he’s got a few things on his mind right now. At least falling into the public-eye persona he uses is still as easy as ever.
“Ms. Parker, nice to meet you.” He keeps his tone carefully charming and cordial. ”Normally when I’m out of the suit, I go by Tony.”
She blushes and stops wiping her apron. “Of course, sorry. My nephew’s a big fan. Sorry, I’m sure you hear that a lot.” She tucks her hair behind her ear and sighs. “I’m rambling. Let me try again. I’m May Parker.” She sticks a hand out.
Tony takes it in a handshake with a grin. “Tony Stark. Don’t worry, as far as introductions go, that was far from the worst.”
(AKA five times Tony Stark visited May Parker, and one time she went to see him.)

Peter Parker is absolutely devastated in the two months since he's been back on Earth. He's struggling in school and at home, and Aunt May is very worried. He doesn't want to go on a vacation to Mr Stark's lake house to see Pepper and Morgan, but May doesn't leave it up to him, and on the last day of school, Happy is waiting to drive him there. What--or who--awaits him at the lake house, is not what he's expecting.
But why is everything so secretive?
Note: This is an End Game Fix-It. My heart couldn't take the actual ending, so I wrote this. It's basically canon divergence because Tony Stark is my favorite character, and I refuse to accept what happened.

In which the author indulges herself in some shameless Irondad/Spiderson with fluff, angst and everything in between because she needs more of that in her life.
Just another one of those, oh so overdone, fanfics where Tony and Peter's relationship grows into more of a father/son relationship after an accident involving Aunt May (who lives)

Field trips per se, for Peter Parker, is an event he never wants to go through again. Considering his last field trip got him mutated because of a radioactive spider, he wasn't very "keen" to go on one again. It's his senior year at Midtown High when his class received news that they were going on a field trip.
The mandatory field trip troupe that everyone is crazy about. ( this is a coping mechanism bc I can't stop crying over endgame soznotsoz )

Whoever spoke to him before, spoke again.
“Who can we call for you?”
Peter had no family left, nobody to reach out to, so he said the first person who came to mind.
“Call Tony Stark.”
