- Blake's 7 (2)
Back in 2012, Lara and I 'met' on the Horizon Forum and found that we had much in common. She is based in Holland and I'm in the UK so we communicated via email...and then Big Finish announced a competition; write a B7 story and the three winners will have their efforts printed in the up and coming Anthology. We didn't win, but we had so much fun that we continued to collaborate on stories; me writing, Lara drawing and both throwing ideas for plots and characters into the mix.
One day, we were both musing about the fact that Mr Darrow liked Westerns and we came up with this little story. Set just before Deliverence......
"There is a problem, Avon, one the Federation was too blind to see or refused to acknowledge."
"And what is that?"
"Their numeration system. It's a bijective base 10 system..."
"I knew you would be interested, " Blake smiled back.
Here is a Post GP Story written in 1982, the first one I ever did. After Monday 21st Dec 1981, I felt I had do something. I sent it to Alex Delicado of Slave, he was kind enough to publish it, via Slave Press, as a stand alone story, in 1983.
'All Our Tomorrows' was published as an A5 publication with card covers. It was 40 pages in total. Alex was kind enough to get Tim Pieraccini to provide the front cover and David Bowden to provide the 2 other pictures with in the text. One of Avon and Vila (on the last page.) It was Alex who provided the quotes from 'Macbeth' and Edward Fitzgerald.
I have moved some of the page numbers around as in the original they appeared in between sentences! I have also corrected spellings etc. Please remember this was typed before we had word processors!
This is also the magazine that was signed by Paul Darrow one cold night at the Stage Door after one of his play performances. So it is special to me for that reason!
For ease of reading, I have removed the page numbers.
