From all his memories, Link had noticed that Revali had always had some sort of distaste for him, even on the final day they had seen each other before Ganon’s invasion. But as Link built himself back up and recovered his memories, he had become drawn to Rito village and Vah Medoh. He was curious to know all he could about their champion, embarrassingly more than even his past betrothed Mipha. The Hylian had always hoped deep down that something would show itself to explain his deep connection to such a place so far away from home, something to piece together the fractured memories and emptiness he felt when he came to visit.
Perhaps his prayers were answered, praise Hylia.

Summary
There's a lot to learn about the tourist trap that is Styx Beach; that it's a dry town, that it's made up of quiet religious retirees, that its beholden to only hotel generating any kind of tourism and it's stubborn owner, but there's one thing Hermes learns almost immediately upon arriving for his extended 'vacation'.
The boat guy is kind of an asshole.

Ineffable, inevitable ferryman to the dead, Charon, is solitary in his existence. He has a singular purpose. Greet the dead. Take the coin. Ferry the dead. Repeat. There was no need for anything more.
A new god enters his life to help him guide the dead to their after life. Hermes, messenger to the gods, and the exact opposite of all Charon is, inserts himself into Charon's life and changes it completely.
