Summary
They were never a slow burn – always a lit match flicked at gasoline, hot and fast and consuming. Two boys from opposite sides of a dusty town found each other – the only sparks of life in a place that lost everything. The war may have been over, but there was still fire somewhere. Somewhere other than here.
Together, Shouto and Katsuki got the hell out of that town where dreams were buried under suffocating layers of ash. They made a life of raising hell together, chasing the high of causing chaos.
Twelve years later the world around them is grim. With nothing to lose but each other, they’ll burn it all down until there's nothing left but cinders and smoke.

“No, no, I’m telling you guys, Shota’s thick. Like with three c’s and everything. His hero costume covers it up well, but you guys had to have noticed in those jeans he’s wearing,” Hizashi’s voice boomed at the table, as his volume had always increased with his alcohol consumption. The rest of the staff snickered or outright guffawed at his statement. Shota frowned. He was aware that he had put on some weight in the last few years, but nothing major. Or at least he thought? Had he really gained enough weight for Hizashi to be telling the rest of the staff that he was overweight? “Like damn, he could kill me with those thighs of his.”

One who chose to bless their measly mortal world with beauty that rivals the Greek goddesses in tales of old. She passed by her in a flurry of boisterous laughter and silk. Shouto was only able to touch the edges of her thin shawl before she slipped through her fingers and skated into the sunset.
