    Summary

Parson gestures with his spoon toward Hawke. “So am I allowed to ask about the service dog or is that not PC?”

“My medical history is more of a 3rd date conversation," Eli says.

    “Oh? Why’s that?”

“Because. No one sticks around afterward and I like to live in glorious denial for a short period beforehand.”

It comes out more self-deprecating than he intended.

Parson looks…thoughtful. “Well, does this count as one or two?

    “Pardon?”

“This. Ice cream. I mean, technically it’s a second location, but still the same night. So is this one date or two?”

“One,” Eli says firmly. “If it’s happening within the same three-hour period.”

“You’re the expert,” Parson says, which, he’s really, really, not, but ok.

“So still two dates to go then?” Parson continues.

    “I—what?”

“We’ve got a roadie coming up but then we’re home for almost two weeks. When does your semester start?”

“You want to do this again?” Eli asks.

Parson stops idly twirling his spoon.

    “You don’t?”

He does, Eli realizes. He really does. Because apparently he actually likes Kent fucking Parson.

'Renegade Radio Puts Our World in Danger: How Dare This Group Of Terrorists Risk Unwilling Wizards to Exposure?'

AKA, a fic in which the Amis take on the Statute of Secrecy, and also, Enjolras finally learns to listen.

Warnings for: inaccurate descriptions of the inner workings of radio stations, a decent amount of blood spilled, a truly staggering amount of musical references and associated punnery, and an equally staggering amount of audible unresolved sexual tension.

    Summary

Surrounded on all sides by endless daylight, Bakugo wasn't sure which way was up and which was down, but he didn't think it mattered much—next to him floated Uraraka, utterly fearless in the face of him.

She didn't look at him like he was a villain. She didn't look at him like he belonged in that tap room. She didn't look at him like he was a question at all.

"We're a team," she said, that unrelenting challenge burning in her eyes as if she herself was the sun.

And in spite of everything, Bakugo thought he might belong in the sky.

The relationship these two build is hard-won and rough and real. I ship it. But even more, I ship the character building they both go through and I can't wait to read more!!

This fic is an absolute monster, and one of the most entertaining things I've read this year. Politics, sensible magic systems, the filling of plot holes and tying up of loose ends... it's a masterpiece, and a joy to read.

    Summary

She hadn’t been sure, at the time, what had finally driven her away from the training center, brought her to book a flight to Waterloo and rent a car for the drive out out to the farm. But when she had packed a bag and headed to the nearest airport, it hadn’t been her apartment in New York or her condo in DC or her London townhouse or any number of hidden bolt-holes she kept around the world that she’d flown to, but a creaking, busy farmhouse in Iowa. (Or: It's been a long journey to get to where they are, and it'll be an even longer journey home.)
