“You’ll watch over him, won’t you?” Kirishima persisted, hands wrapped around his husband's waist, refusing to let him move, or let him escape. Bakugo let out a frustrated sigh, he hated this topic, hated everything about it. He hated how Kirishima would bring it up at the most random times and how his stomach would instantly sink to his abdomen while his heart trapped in his throat.
“Shut up.” He grumbled against the pillow. “Shut up or I’ll smother you with a pillow.”
“I know, babe.” Kirishima muttered against his back, nipping at his shoulder. “But you will, right?”
This time Bakugo could hear the fear in his husband's voice. He turned over in his grasp, gripping his angular face in his hands and gazing into his golden red eyes. “I will, I’ll take care of our little wonder, I will. But I won’t need to,” His voice cracked against his will as he blinked away the tears. “I won’t need to because you’re not going anywhere. You hear? You’re not leaving me-us. You. Are not. Leaving. Us.”
Kirishima had smiled solemnly, like he knew something that Bakugo didn't, but he responded enthusiastically. “Yes sir.”
