Summary
After the death of Snoke and the Battle of Crait, long-time rivals Supreme Leader Kylo Ren and General Armitage Hux must cooperate or everything they value will self-destruct. Hux knows he is the First Order's last line of defense against a raging, uncontrolled monster, and he knows how little he can do to influence him... until Ren's pragmatic attempt to "learn more about him" presents Hux with what he believes is his only chance, unethical though it may be, to save his cause.
Surely, no long-term or far-reaching consequences will emerge from this.
Believe it or not, this gets pretty dark.

Summary
Post-revolutionary France, just before 1800. Erik runs a sanatarium on the outskirts of Paris, where he specialises in the Mesmeric technique of animal magnetism (although Mesmer was driven out of Paris in 1785, his followers continued to practice, and Erik has an obvious advantage). Charles is an aristocrat who was nearly killed during the Reign of Terror. He used his powers to escape but has been gradually driven mad by his experiences.
Can Erik's unorthodox cures help Charles accept his powers again? And is animal magnetism really the explanation for the attraction between the pair...?
Inspired by a comment of my boyfriend’s that “If Magneto were in the nineteenth century, he wouldn’t be a villain – he’d run a spa!”
