I've re-read this so many times. Very trippy. Tony and Steve are much, MUCH more resilient than me, let's just say that.

    Summary

An AU of the events covering SIEGE and immediate after. When Tony is rebooted after deleting his brain, he's left with no memory of anything, and lingering programs that keep him from finding out everything he missed. Sometimes you just need to start over, but there's always a place in every plan for a backup.

Just...Tony and his everlasting internal conflict concerning who he is, who he wants to be and what that has to do with Steve. Amazing, /amazing/, work.

    Summary

From the prompt: 'The people of Timely have started getting suspicious about how much time their Sheriff is spending at their Blacksmith's house'

Ever since he was injured and his arm badly damaged in the incident with Fisk, Steve has been staying with Tony. He helps Tony stay off the drink and keep his ribbon, and Tony helps him tie his shoelaces. They're in love, but they aren't breaking any laws. Steve is very careful about that.

Except people are starting to talk anyway, and when a new Deputy arrives in town with suspicion in his eyes things get riskier than ever.

Literally perfect representation of Timely Stony. I clutched my heart multiple times from the sheer and raw amounts of love Steve and Tony felt for each other. I even cried which was shocking. There's something about Sheriff Rogers and Blacksmith Tony that feels so effortlessly genuine and insanely compatible - even in the 1875 comics. Whether it's in fanfiction or the actual Timely series - their affection is so clear. This story in specific though...it's undeniable. Even though it's told from Steve's POV, Tony's love barrels through and it's so damn nice to really believe that they love each other the same and communicate so damn well despite having to hide their relationship.

Wow. I've never really given script format a chance and therefore never knew how impactful it could be, but goddamn this has come the closest to making me actually cry from a fanfiction in a while. That, plus the actual storyline, of course, but straight dialogue just impacts me in a whole new manner. I was actually heartbroken for the entire fic. It wasn't just Tony's grief, but we got insight to the other characters and their grief as well. But Tony's...God, Tony just feels so deeply and this - the last thing he was planning to do...and when Steve's gone is just spirals. The scene with Morgan and Pepper (and the following conversation with Rhodey about Howard) hit me hard because it's one thing to lash out at everyone, but you know the heartbreak is real when your own child gets caught in it.

    Great work!

A canon re-telling that's absolutely wonderful. A smooth story, good progression, satisfying ending. The prose is GORGEOUS. And it's actually Tony's POV despite what the summary made me think. I'm even more overjoyed about that. Seeing Steve through Tony's eyes is my all-time favorite thing.
