    Summary

In The Avengers, Natasha Romanova says "Love is for children." It's an expression of life as she knows it, and fits the harsh background most of the Avengers have experienced. Trouble is, people don't do very well without love. In particular it's impossible to form a good team if the members don't care about each other.

So Phil Coulson comes up with a teambuilding exercise to resolve that problem. If love is for children ... then he'll arrange that experience for them. The result is an exploration of nonsexual ageplay to allow a group of very powerful, very broken people to patch up some of the gaps in their lives.

Most of the stories are very sweet in tone and make for good comfort reading. However, canon gives these characters some very unpleasant pasts, and that comes up as they process the aftermath. So the tone does vary, and some stories are more intense than others. They deal with different characters, relationships, and sensitive issues.

Some folks have avoided this series for fear that it goes into sexual territory; it doesn't. Same with embarrassment, very low on that.

“We are more alike than you think,” he muttered.
Magnus scoffed, “I doubt that, Emrys.
    ---
Alec shot an unreadable look towards Magnus, then stepped into the portal with a huff.
“He’ll come around,” Izzy said softly, “you just have…difficult old friends.”
“Trust me, I know.” Magnus groaned.
    ---
“He literally doesn’t treat portals like normal warlocks do,” Magnus gasped, eyes wide as if this was something constantly bugging him. “It’s a pain! Makes the rest of us look bad.”
    ---
    “Uh… Magnus?” Emrys called, “I think I broke your little half-angel toys…”
Magnus started shouting profanity, but cut himself off before he’d even really started. “They’re not ‘my toys’,” he snapped.
    ---
Magnus has an unexpected guest. Everything goes downhill from there. Just how much trouble can two warlocks and three shadowhunters get into?

    Summary

Once upon a time, River Song was lost. Only nothing and no one is ever truly lost. They're just waiting to be found.

Clint Barton and Phil Coulson found River and brought her into SHIELD. The result would be one of the best teams in the organization's history. With her new partners, River will fight criminals and terrorists, come to terms with her convoluted past, travel Time and Space, and even help save the world.

It was probably inevitable. Her mother did say she'd be a superhero.

Disclaimer: During a misspent week in September 2012 I mainlined the Avengers and Doctor Who until my brain managed to superimpose River Song and Natasha Romanoff and fuse them into one character. Then she started dictating. Before I knew it, Clint Barton and Phil Coulson had elbowed their way in. That's how this AU 'verse came to be. It's involved some tweaked timelines, altered plot points, a ton of original back story for River, and a lot of fun on my part. I'm having a ball playing in Marvel's and Moffat's sandboxes (and making no money).

Spoiler Note: This series contains spoilers of a vague, AU sort for A Good Man Goes To War and Let's Kill Hitler.
