    Summary

Someone on Tine's floor is playing Scrubb today. Tine thinks that he is in love. At first, he is convinced that the song is flowing out of his earphones, auto-playing a cover that is almost as good as the original. He concentrates on the faint sound coming and removes his earphones. His curiosity has morphed into something bigger – something far greater than what he can contain. He wants to knock on their door and demand an explanation as to who allowed them to live in their mind and play Scrubb the way he listens to Scrubb.

But he is not curious, he furiously repeats to himself. No, really. He isn't curious at all.

    Or:

Someone on Tine's floor keeps playing Scrubb for him and there is no way that Tine's asshole neighbour is the same as his mysterious musical neighbour.

    (But they are.)

    Summary

Winter is harsh and unyielding, but never cruel. She nurtures her children to be resilient, to carve out a living where others would’ve fled upon the first pang of hunger. For her months are long and quiet, and her nights cold and dark. Those who survive in her bosom flourish in different ways – they learn to keep the words tightly in their mouths, how to make fire in tinder boxes, where to fish above the surface of the frozen lake, how to count the breaths they take so ice crystals do not blossom inside their lungs. Their skin silvery pale, the hair upon their heads as black as coal.

Tine, with his gold-tinged skin and warm smiles, is a discordant note in the vast whiteness that calls itself home.

The seasons are changing. And Tine, at the crossroads of who he is and of the promise he'd made to Sarawat.

    Summary

Podfic reading of sharp mind (kind heart), written by varnes.

    Author's summary:
“I can see your mouth forming the letters of my name,” Sarawat sang, and the crowd cheered, dobs of light from cellphones flickering on around the stadium. It was impossible to make anybody out, in the headlights.

In his weaker moments, he wondered sometimes: is he here? Did he come?

It wasn’t impossible. They were a famous band. They toured a lot. He could be a fan. He could be at this show, or next week’s, or any of the innumerable shows they’d done before. Sarawat would have no way of knowing. If he — if he remembered Sarawat, if he thought of him sometimes, he’d have no way of making his way backstage. He’d never come to a signing or a greeting or anything. Sarawat had stopped letting himself look.

The Stranger was gone and Sarawat had no earthly way of finding or identifying him.

    -

Or: Two boys meet at a Scrubb concert. They don't exchange names or numbers. One of them goes on to write, like, four best-selling albums about it, and the other one doesn't know because he only listens to one band.

    Anyway, they fall in love.

"The silence that follows seems to last forever. Nobody moves. Tine’s eyes stay locked on the face he had only ever seen in police sketches, realising rather slowly that those sketches didn’t do Guntithanon’s features any justice. They didn’t even come close."

“I met you the first time at a Scrubb concert and suddenly, every single song was about you. You were in every note I played, in every word that flowed out of me. You were in my veins, buried so deep that I didn’t know where you ended and I started.”

-or Tine ends up hiding famous musician Sarawat Guntithanon from his crazed fans but that’s only the beginning.
