Summary
She was innocent the first time she ran these circles, following her chosen leader, following her cubs. Her beautiful little lion cubs she'd happily give her life for. She never even realized the suffering she was in for. It seemed so simple at first. So innocent. It's amazing the kind of tortures you can find in the heads of teenagers. But she loved these children, her children. So she followed them to hell and back before realizing this wasn't the future she wanted. The future any of them wanted.
So she tried again, a goddess hit a reset button for her and she picked the church. Again, the end result was bitter.
And again. This time it was her precious fawns who she stood beside. But not for a moment did her heart cease to ache when she cut down her other kids.
So she tried again. Her fledglings might bring a happy ending with proper care. But no. Fate is cruel and history oft repeats itself. Four different paths, none of them happy. Each had ends that wouldn't be justified considering their means. Each time she lost something she considered precious. Valuable.
The fifth time she started over wasn't of her own volition. When you keep hitting the reset button, eventually something breaks.
