There were only two reasons Gojo called. Either someone was dying or already dead, or he needed someone to annoy for the evening and she was his victim. Utahime frankly didn’t feel like she had the patience or energy to deal with either one.
However, the small chance that it was something serious made her feel guilty about thinking of letting him go to voicemail. She sighed, letting her sense of duty to her fellow sorcerers and her compassion swipe to answer his call. Curse her bleeding heart. Not literally, but still.
“What?” Utahime answered as she pressed the phone to her ear. She didn’t care if she sounded rude. Any news from Gojo was bound to inconvenience her planned night of relaxation. She just got off a mission, dammit!
“Whoa.” Gojo’s irritating voice answered. “That’s one way to answer the phone I guess.”
